Wonderful Stay at Nido
Had a great stay at villa Nido de Gansos. The view is great as many have said, and the pool and beach are both wonderful - only hard decision was which one to do first each day. Having the whole family hanging out at the pool for sunset was particularly fun. The beach was great (especially toward low tide). We have 6, 9 and 11 year old kids. They loved the gentle waves and playing in the sand. David at the beach was especially helpful - always went the extra mile to make our time at the beach comfortable and enjoyable - really all the staff at the villa and throughout Tulemar were great, but David was our favorite. Perhaps the best thing was the wildlife - if you're not looking for it it's easy to miss, but ask around - other guests and staff will be happy to point you toward whatever happens to be around. Within the Tulemar grounds we saw Capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, both 3 and 2 toed sloths (including 2 3-toed sloths with babies), iguanas, a pair of toucans and all sorts of other birds. If you wake up early, we had Capuchin or squirrel monkeys go through the trees in front of our house most mornings between roughly around 7-7:30. While we enjoyed visiting Manuel Antonio and the town of Quepos, we really would have been perfectly happy spending pretty much all of our time within Tulemar. Overall a great and very unique vacation.

Great Villa - Amazing Views
We couldn't have picked a better place for a family vacation and our first trip to Costa Rica. Diego and Bill made us feel at home, advised us on and made the reservations for our daily excursions to white water rafting, a zip-line canopy tour, snorkeling, and surfing. Nido de Gansos offered incredible views - we could have sat all day and watch the monkeys, sloths, and birds with the ocean and boats in the background. Although the locals commented on the heat, we enjoyed the breeze almost 24/7 through the open air provided by the Villas design. A vacation of a lifetime made even better by the property hosts and natural friendliness of the Costa Ricans we met. A must stay!

Beyond Paradise! Pura Vida
Our family of 6 stayed in Nido de Gansos and what a week it was. This villa had amazing views, pool, three levels and monkeys galore! I'm not going to reiterate how spectacular the resort, grounds, beach, wildlife, flora, amenities, and accommodations are at Tulemar- except they are all truly magnificent. I'm writing this to reiterate how spectacular the people are. All the people we encountered in the Manuel Antonio area were very friendly and helpful. All the employees (and guests) we encountered inside Tulemar took these attributes to another level. From the booking process until checkout we were greeted with kindness, information, and assistance. I can name them all, but there would be too many to acknowledge for there great service, as we received nothing but top notch attention from all. I will, however, say or concierge, Chris, went well beyond our expectations. Before we even met, he had booked our transportation and activities for our stay. We selected some activities and took his recommendations for others and I must say, the ones he recommended were our best ones. Upon meeting Chris, he was super nice and helpful. He booked reservations for dinners at places he recommended and we had some of the best meals (in the states and abroad) within walking distance or a short cab ride from Tulemar. He never steered us wrong. He (as well as the entire staff) truly made our family vacation as easy, stress free, action packed, and the best. Costa Rica is beautiful with great people, Tulemar just takes it to a different level. Can't wait to go back. Thank you Cindy for helping us decide which property. It was perfect! Tulemar is first class!Guest comment entered by manager
Tulemar is first class!
We have been to Costa Rica several times and is probably one of my favorite places to visit. A combination of extremely friendly people, reasonable prices (not cheap), natural beauty, and exciting adventures makes it so special. We stayed at Tulemar this time. There were six of us traveling together. I contacted Cindy through HomeAway and she handled our reservation. Cindy suggested Nido de Gansos for our trip. Boy, was she on the money. Nido has amazing views plus you get lots of wild life action. Once we got to Tulemar our every want or need was met. They offer the best service by far. Entrust your trip to their care and I promise you will not be disappointed. We will be back and that is for sure.

Tulemar - High EnergyGuest comment entered by manager
Tulemar - High Energy
Tulemar and specifically our rental, Nido de Gansos, is one of the nicest, best serviced vacation rental I have ever been to. My comparisons include Aruba, Jamaica, Bahamas. Tahiti, Singapore, Caymans, Cabo, and Acapulco. We all agreed that the complete concierge service provided by Mauricio was the best it could possibly have been. From daily bookings for our adventures to rides to and from nightly restaurants, every tour guide, restaurateur, jet ski renter and cab driver knew to pay us special attention and ensure our experiences. The experiences Mauricio recommended for our high-activity group were perfect and some of the best rafting, zip-lining, jet-skiing and surfing adventures we have ever had. Oh, and the private beach with full amenities for food, drinks and all types of play are as beautiful as any in the world, with monkeys, ant eaters, sloths and amazing birds. The only possible detractor from the title of the best tropical vacation location is that the diving is not coral reefs so it is simply luxuriating in warm water and watching fish. Tulemar staff looked after our every need and everyone on the site would take the time to show us the local wildlife. We loved every minute of our visit and will be back!

Breath taking location
Four girlfriends and I stayed in Villa Nido de Gansos in November. After months of researching to find the perfect place for a birthday celebration, we landed on Nido because of the location, the views and the amenities promised. And we had no idea how amazing the experience would be! The views are even more amazing than they seem online, the service was impeccable, far beyond expectation and the location was perfect - either for day trips around Manuel Antonio or to just sit and relax on the beach or poolside. Many in our group didn't want to leave the house because it was so beautiful. Mauricio was awesome! He and the staff responded to every need immediately and we didn't have to lift a finger for anything - we felt so spoiled. And Mauricio made sure that we got the best service on every tour and restaurant he booked for us. Every home in Tulemar looked amazing, but I don't think you could beat the views and all the wildlife we had at the villa. We had visits from monkeys, sloths and kinkajous every single day. Everyone agreed that this was one of our best trips ever and we would return to Tulemar again and again because the experience was that special. And made so by the unbelievable staff! Truly an experience to be had.

Couldn't be better!
We recently stayed at Villa Nido de Gansos at Tulemar and had an unforgettable vacation! We were a group of five and the house provided plenty of space for all of us, and we could have actually fit a few more! The house and surrounding gardens and property were absolutely beautiful and the view was spectacular. We couldn't stop taking pictures! We had daily animal sightings from our patio (sloths, toucans and monkeys) and on several occasions we actually had groups of monkeys come right up on our patio to visit. It was unbelievable! The swimming pool with the view was amazing! The entire staff were fantastic and helped us with anything and everything we could possibly need, which made our trip even more relaxing. Tulemar is very centrally located and it was never an issue for Mauricio to arrange a taxi ride to one of the many great nearby restaurants or into the downtown area. We also did several excursions including the national park tour (highly recommend doing this with a guide), horseback riding in the jungle and then we spent plenty of days relaxing at our pool or at the private Tulemar beach. It was an absolutely amazing vacation and we can't wait to come back!

Breath Taking Villa
I just returned from a 10-day stay at the Nido de Gansos Villa in Tulemar, six girlfriends total, and it is difficult to express how wonderful our stay was. The villa itself was stunning, with stunning views of the surrounding rain forest and the beach and ocean. We saw sloths, monkeys, and toucans and more from our windows. Our concierge, Mauricio, patiently answered all our questions before we arrived, and was so helpful and gracious throughout our stay, making suggestions, reservations, and arrangements that made our trip so easy and fun. The Tulemar private beach was beautiful, and the service there from David was outstanding (he brings your lounge chair, umbrella, and towels to you), and you can order drinks and lunch from your chair! The available kayaks were fun, too! All the staff were exceptional, including Flaco at our villa, who pointed out wildlife to us throughout our stay, and Michael, one of the shuttle drivers, who stopped to show us wildlife, and was so personable, friendly, and helpful. The property is beautiful, and meticulously groomed, very private, and incredible service throughout. We so enjoyed our excursions that Mauricio arranged (waterfalls, zipline, and white-water rafting), and the short walks or taxi rides to restaurants for dinner in Manuel Antonio. We were there during the rainy season, but we were fortunate and had more sunny days than rainy ones, and loved every minute of both! I look forward to returning to this beautiful place with wonderful people! Thank you to all who made our vacation the best it could possibly be!

Awsom Time in Manuel Antonio
Just got back from a trip to Costa Rica and had a wonderful time in Manuel Antonio. My friends and I stayed at Nido de Gansos. What a spectacular villa! The villa had everything you would want and more. Our personal concierge Bill was wonderful, and helped us with everything we needed from arranging a private dinner to recommending good nightlife. The private beach, walking trails and the swimming pools were wonderful too. You do not need to leave Tulemar for anything if you choose not to. Even the bar and grill at the beach and the restaurant had everything you could want to eat or drink. Overall really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Cindy for suggesting this beautiful villa. Stayed August 2013, traveled with friends

All around top notch!!Guest comment entered by manager
All around top notch!!
Bottom Line (at the top): DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE! Fantastic hospitality and location with immaculate grounds, private beach, four pools, and ample wildlife right outside your front/back doors! Details:My boyfriend and I (20somethings) visited Tulemar in early September 2013. We stayed at Nido de Gansos which has a full kitchen and outdoor grill, and large balcony with ocean views! All communication prior to arrival is handled through Cindy and the Tulemar staff who were SO welcoming, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. We felt as though we were their personal guests! They even took us to the grocery store and showed us around the grounds and much more. The Tulemar staff are all wonderful: very polite, attentive, friendly, and timely. The property is quite large and on steep hills (believe the reviews, I thought we would walk...but not after we killed our calves the first day!), but the shuttle service was accessible and prompt! We shuttled up to reception, down to the beach, and back again. Casa Panorama South is located very near the Family Pool and fairly near the main pool with the restaurant and bar. Since we traveled in low season, Tulemar was only running one shuttle (still no delays) and some of the bars were closed (not a problem because no crowds). We highly recommend the low season travel! Although we were told that we saw unseasonably great weather, including fabulous RED sunsets from our balcony, the area holds true to rumors that it rains in the afternoon, usually from about 4pm-6pm but not every day. No big deal! You have most pools and restaurants to yourself and It's a tropical paradise so you're ready for a nap by then anyway! Other perks: Location: Shuttle/Walk to the top of the property and you are within 5min or less walking distance to more than 10 great restaurants with a variety of cuisine (vietnamese, mexican, typico costa rican, fish&chips, fish/steak, falafel, froyo, etc!). Also walking distance to the main grocery market and an alternative. Then, at the bottom of the hill within the property is a fabulous beach! Shoutout to David at the beach stand who was so friendly, helping us set up towels/chairs. Cannot wait to come back to Tulemar.
