Very close to the pool! 'Blue Heaven Cottage' is a very well maintained and beautifully furnished 3 bedroom beach cottage in secluded and gated Cypress Dunes. Cypress Dunes is a John Willis (winner of Atlanta's 2005 best builder award) development. Our neighborhood is tucked in next to one of the most pristine parks, Topsail State Preserve, and the beaches of South Walton county on Scenic Hwy 30-A. Our vacation home was just purchased and completed in August of 2009. We have a lovely kitchen with granite counter-tops, stainless steel appliances, wide-plank pine wood floors and the kitchen opens to the dining and living areas. The master suite is downstairs with a super luxurious king bed, antique pine nightstands, comfortable chair, original abstract artwork done by a local artist, and large wall-mounted flat-screen plasma TV. Upstairs are two bedrooms and each has its own private bathroom. The cool blue guest bedroom has pretty gulf views, an equally luxurious queen bed, antique pine chest of drawers and a 26' flat-screen plasma TV with built-in DVD player. The other light pink bedroom has 2 plush twin beds and a 19' flat screen plasma TV with built-in DVD player, toybox full of toys, games and books. There is also a twin air mattress available.
'Blue Heaven Cottage' is very close to the outstanding Cypress Dunes Beach Club which offers a fitness center with 2 TV's, fantastic state park and gulf views, a gorgeous infinity-edge pool, hot tub, and outdoor fireplace with seating area. Cypress Dunes is surrounded by the natural and unspoiled beauty of Topsail State Park. Beach access is a quick 3-4 minute drive to a lifeguard-monitored (in season) beautiful, uncrowded beach with parking and clean bathrooms.
Cypress Dunes has new tennis courts on-site, walking trails, 2 pools, hot tub. For golfers, we are very close to both Santa Rosa Golf Club and Sandestin Resort which has multiple courses (including the Raven) available for public play. The location is perfect for couples and families who wish to enjoy all the activities that Destin, Sandestin, and Scenic Hwy. 30-A offer. You will be 5 minutes from Sandestin, Sacred Heart Hospital, and great shopping at the Silver Sands Outlet and the new Shops on Grand Boulevard. Plus, you will be minutes away from the wonderful restaurants and boutiques located all along Scenic Hwy. 30-A including Seaside, WaterColor, Blue Mountain Beach and Gulf Place in Santa Rosa Beach.

Feels like home away from home. Love the area and accomodations. This was our second visit to My Blue Heaven, and hopefully not our last.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

My family recently spent a week at this beautiful vacation home and we all had a BLAST!! Everything was spectacular. We loved the gated, upscale community and all the modern and plush home furnishings. There was plenty of space and all the comforts of home. The ocean view from the home was gorgeous and the clubhouse/workout facility and adjoining infinity pool are first class. We enjoyed being so close to all the communities, restaurants, activities and shopping that the area had to offer. The beach is right around the corner and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to walk along the beach to meet friends in nearby communities (Seaside, Watercolor, Grayton). We look forward to visiting the area again and creating more fantastic memories for our family. We found the home even more fabulous than we anticipated. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful vacation cottage with our family - it was PRICELESS!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, age 55+.

About the owner: We are a beach, pool, and golf loving family living in Nashville, Tennessee. We recently rented a home in Cypress Dunes for our family vacation and completely fell in love with this unique, secluded, gated neighborhood. We decided to purchase a new second home in Cypress Dunes.
Why the Owner Chose Cypress Dunes:
We chose to buy our beach cottage because we love this unique and secluded neighborhood. My mother retired and lived in the Crystal Beach area of Destin for several years so I know this area very well. We chose to buy our new home in Cypress Dunes because of its perfect location. 'Blue Heaven Cottage' is located 25-30 minutes from both the Ft. Walton airport and the new Panama City airport which is set to open in May, 2010. It is close to all the activities and natural beauty that Sandestin, Destin, and the lovely beaches of South Walton offer. Our quaint neighborhood is tucked in next to the secluded and undeveloped Topsail State Park on Scenic Hwy 30-A. So there are no condos, no crowds. Plus, spectacular views of the water can be seen from our upstairs guest room.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
We enjoy the luxurious Beach Club (a 3 minute walk) with its' incredible infinity-edge pool and stunning views of the dunes, park, and water the most. We also enjoy all the walking trails in the neighborhood. You can also easily rent bikes locally, have them delivered, and enjoy the bike trail which spans the length of Scenic Hwy 30-A. I can also provide you with the contact information for a couple of mature and trusted local babysitters so the adults can enjoy a night out occasionally!
