Open, Airy, Roomy & Breezy can only begin the describe what it is like to stay here. Watch the wildlife abound in your back yard while you overlook the waterway. Egrets and Herons are daily visitors to our dock and the western exposure over the waterway reveals beautiful “Margarita Sunsets” nightly. At the waters edge is a full seawall and dock to fish from. The 10,000 lb. boat lift makes it convenient to launch your boat. By water it's only 5 minutes and one bridge to Alligator Bay in the Charlotte Harbor and 20 minutes to Boca Grande Pass where the sport fishing, wildlife & daily excursions are plentiful.
If you don’t have a boat, you can rent one daily/weekly near by. Not a boater, then take a 5 minute drive to a beautiful sandy beach on the harbor which has a heated pool & fishing pier or you can reach some of the most beautiful white sandy beaches seen anywhere in Southwest Florida, within a 30 minute drive.
Besides the beautiful beaches this area of Southwest Florida has many attractions, theme parks, restaurants, shopping, golfing and plenty to keep you busy while you relax and enjoy the Florida Sunshine. All just a short drive away.

So we have created a "Free Contest" for our guests to name our "Vacation Home". There is no extra charge to join the contest. To enter the contest all you have to do is stay with us for one week (7 days) between September 2009 and April 2010. At the end of your stay, just give us your suggestion for the name. We will pick the suggestion we like the best from all of the entries. We will notify the winning guest(s)on June 20, 2010. The winner will get to stay at our home for one week for free (7 full days at no charge) You may pick the week of your choice anytime between July 1, 2010 and September 30, 2010, based upon availability OR the winner can use their free week between September 1, 2010 and August 31, 2011 as long as they stay with us for two (2) months or more. - Handicapped Accessible (may have limitations): Home is all on one level with only one step to gain access to any where inside the home but the bathrooms are not specifically handicapped designed.
- Kid Friendly: Supervision will be needed near the seawall, dock and waterway. Railings or Barriers are not required by law.
- Minimum Age Limit for Renters: Occupants of any age are allowed but must be accompanied by at least one adult over the age 25. Maximum home occupancy for overnight stays is eight (8) unless additional approval is obtained by the property owner - in advance.
- Smoking Not Allowed: Smoking allowed only in the Lanai or outside but no where else inside the home or garage.

The neighborhood is in a quiet setting which is just minutes away from all of the conveniences. (Grocery Stores & Shopping of any kind) There are State Parks & Wild Life Sanctuaries nearby. Water Parks, Golfing, Tennis & more... Tampa is a short 90 minutes away by car, where you will find Bush Gardens, Adventure Island, Lowry Park Zoo & more. Orlando is just a day trip away to visit Disney World, Epcot Center, Sea World, Busch Gardens, & Universal Studios. We have many more day trip suggestions we would be glad to share..... We can give you the "Been there - Done that & Would do it again" list of things to do..
Although Port Charlotte is a "Snow Bird Destination" during the winter season, it is still easy to get around and is not over crowded. Unlike some of the larger cities nearby. (Ft. Myers, Naples, Sarasota & Tampa) The traffic is not as congested and you can get into restaurants and attractions without long waits. It's a great place to vacation and an even better place to live...

Pat & Gary are the home owners & decorators. We have lived in the Port Charlotte area full time since 2006. We love it here and could not imagine living anywhere else. We especially, love this little house. The minute we enter it all the world's pressures just disappear. It's so quiet and beautiful. We stay many a weekend just to kick back and relax. We are so lucky to have a home away from home like this....
We first came to the area in 1999 to vacation here when we lived in North Carolina. We loved the area so much that we bought our first home in Port Charlotte the next year. We visited our vacation home a couple times each year to kick back and relax, do day trips, boat, fish & just play. We loved it so much that moved here full time in 2006. The next year we bought this vacation home on the water where we ultimately plan on retiring. We fell in love with it the minute we saw it....
