Walk to the campus of the Colorado School of Mines, to the Coors Brewery (and to the Golden City microbrewery), the American Mountaineering Center, the Clear Creek Kayak Park, and all the shops, restaurants, and museums of historic downtown Golden. A short drive away, visit the Colorado Railroad Museum, the Red Rocks Amphitheater, Buffalo Bill's Grave and Museum, Golden Gate Canyon State Park, and many other attractions. Hiking, biking, and mountain biking trails begin just blocks away. Downtown Denver and Boulder are each 30 minutes away. If you don't want to rent a car, take the shuttle from Denver International Airport, and you can catch a bus just a block away from the condo to get to Denver, Boulder, or the nearby Colorado Mills mall. If you have a car, there is assigned off-street parking behind the building.
Winter sports (skiing, snowboarding, ice climbing) are 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours away.
Golden is a wonderful small western town that offers lots of interesting things to do. It's also a great base from which to explore the Front Range, the Denver area, and the mountain towns to the west.

We had the opportunity to purchase this condo in a historic building that was completely rebuilt inside in 2006. The brand new interior, the great views from the deck, and the bright, open floor plan, in addition to its being walking distance from the Colorado School of Mines, the Coors Brewery, and everything else in historic downtown Golden, made it a perfect choice for vacationers, business travelers, folks visiting family, or those relocating to Golden.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Our condo is 30 minutes from Denver International Airport, 30 minutes from downtown Denver (or somewhat longer on the bus -- but we're steps from the bus stop), 30 minutes from downtown Boulder, and 30 minutes from the closest mountain towns. This location is walking distance to the Colorado School of Mines, the Coors Brewery tour, the American Mountaineering Center, a dozen good restaurants, and all of historic downtown Golden's shops and museums.
