GLOBAL FEELING ABOUT THE LOFT AND THE BUILDING
The loft will accommodate two persons in a highly confortable Queen bed. The unit is a 50m2 (540 square feet) loft duplex, truly ideal for a couple or an executive on business trip. It’s an authentic old “atelier d’artiste” turned into a gorgeous modern loft. All flats in the building are lofts too. When entering the building a mosaic in Latin dedicated to all the artists that stayed here welcomes you: “DOCTIS PICTURAE SCULPTURAE IUDICIBUS SALUTEM”. The walls of the hall had been sculpted by one of them. It’s all the cultural heritage of Montmartre you will feel in this Parisian building of the XIXth century!
In the loft itself, a very old oak floor keeps the memories of this past. Even if the atelier has been completely renovated and modernized, we kept its original charm. When we design the apartment we created different spaces, each with its own atmosphere, maintaining the feeling of a unique open space.
The loft is located at the second floor, it is very bright. There is no real opposite building as massive trees hide them. The huge window (6 meters high) flows the natural light in and combined with fresh white paint and oak floors give the apartment a peaceful ambiance. The view through the window is fascinating. When looking up, you only see trees, sky and rooftops. When looking down, you dive in the city life of the animated boulevard!
TWO FLOORS FOR YOU TO ENJOY
Downstairs is an open fully equipped kitchen separated from the living room by a specially designed table/bar. The living room is furnished with design contemporary furniture, including a massive and highly comfortable sofa. The walls features artworks from some French and European contemporary artists.
Upstairs, there are 4 areas: bedroom, bathroom, toilets and a typical French “boudoir” (a reading/relaxing corner) with a classic French sofa, perfect to rest in the afternoon while reading a book with a coffee. The bedroom is absolutely fantastic. Facing the window you will open the curtain in the morning and discover a living city at your feet. You will definitely feel very much at home in the charming and stylish furnished Duplex.
THE PERFECT LOCATION TO DISCOVER PARIS AND HOW PARSIANS LIVE...
Moreover, this place is a perfect base to visit Paris. The loft is located in what has recently becomes the trendiest neighborhood in Paris: So-Pi (South of Pigalle) and borders the 18th, Montmartre. This location is truly in the heart of the touristic area (you won't come back home without souvenirs from Paris as souvenirs shops are on the other side of the street!). You will enjoy the benefits of all the activities of the neighborhood (monuments, beautiful spots, typical shops and restaurants). Northeast lies the typical old Montmartre district. East is “Anvers”. From there you will be able to reach the Sacred Heart basilica by the cable car only 150 meters away from the flat. Northwest is the Abbesses district, the one where the movie “Amelie” took place. There is a wonderful market on rue Lepic and rue des Abbesses, just a short walk from the apartment, where you will find numerous boulangeries, patisseries, fresh fruits, fromageries and much more. Smell the aroma of the freshly roasted coffee, enjoy croissant and baguette! West is the Moulin Rouge and the theatre district of Pigalle, just 5 min walk away. South lies the famous rue des Martyrs with all its typical and delicious restaurants, cafes and small trendy shops. Still South at 20 min walking distance (or 7 min by metro) are the “Grands Magasins”, the ultimate experience of French fashion shopping.
EASY TRANSPORTATION TO REACH ALL OTHER INTERESTING SPOTS IN PARIS
Transportation is easy. Eurostar Station is just a few minutes trip through the Anvers station that stays at 3 min walking distance. From Anvers you’ll also reach the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Elysée in less than 10 min by metro. Pigalle station, the other station close to the flat, is at 5 min. From there you’ll reach the Opera, la Place de la Concorde in less than 10 min. Most interesting spots may be reached in 15 min max. You may also choose to cycle using the new Parisian "Velib System". Cycles are parked in front of the loft. Every other districts of Paris are just a few subway stations away. There is also an open-air tourist bus stop almost outside the building, which takes you to every major tourist attractions: the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame… Even EuroDisney is easily accessible by train. In front of the building door is a full size swimming pool.

I recently stayed in a spectacular loft in Paris and all I can say is WOW. This was more than just a place to stay while visiting Paris…this place was a vacation of its own with all the amenities a traveler could need.
Arriving at the loft was such an easy and fun experience. Guillaume, owner of the property was there to welcome me, provide a tour of the place and answer all of my questions about the location. He provided a list of his favorite places within walking distance with a great selection of cafes, shopping and attractions. I really felt like Guillaume wanted to make sure my trip was truly a great experience. He even checked in on me during the trip to make sure I was happy and see if I needed anything.
As for the loft, it was spacious, clean and had all the amenities of home at your fingertips. I was able to visit the supermarket one block away to stock the kitchen with food, drinks and snacks. There was nothing better than rolling out of bed in the morning and being able to brew coffee and have food readily accessible. Then after a hard day of touring Paris I would come back to a place that felt like home.
The other great thing about the loft was its location. This place is truly located in convenient and fun location in the middle of Paris. Everything I wanted to tour was either a short walk or train ride away. For example, I was able to walk to the Eiffel Tower, Louvre and many other attractions. You can get to the train station in a matter of minutes and the airport is only twenty minutes away.
You will not be disappointed when you stay here. You will stay in a great loft, receive exceptional service and have all the amenities Paris offers just outside your doorstep.

After a few years spent overseas, we were looking for the perfect unit in the perfect district. This is how started our story with the "Atelier Bochart" and why we immediately felt in love with this authentic artist loft, full of history and located across the border of the two more exciting and beautiful districts of Paris: the trendy 9th and the old 18th.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
All the building is made of former artist’s lofts. As soon you go through the doorstep of the building you feel the Montmartre's history. Once in the apartment itself, the huge window (more than 6 meters high!!!) gives you an unrealistic feeling, as if you were in some kind of cathedral.
One of the most beautiful small parc in Paris with an incredible view of the Sacre Coeur.
