The Roaring River Relaxing Rental is a new, beautiful and well equipped home on 3.5 acres of gorgeous, wooded, rolling hills with mountain views situated on the Roaring River with 175 feet of river frontage. There is a 2 story wall of windows facing the river with great views. Nice open living area, nicely appointed kitchen.
The master bath is amazing with a huge garden tub and separate shower. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, the 2nd bedroom has another queen size bed, the 3rd bedroom has 2 twin beds and a full size futon in the basement. We also have a portable queen we can have set in the loft or basement and 2 youth beds The home has 2 wood burning fireplaces, one in the family room and one in the basement.
With 3 levels, 4 TV's (2 with DVD's /1 with DVR) lot's of family games and entertainment in one of the most beautiful areas we are the perfect place for a family vacation!
Play and swim in the water, try your hand at trout fishing or relax and enjoy the wildlife watching right out the back! Enjoy the huge 26 x 8 balcony overlooking the river, or hang out on the lower 26 x 8 deck or have fun in the game room, or outside at the horseshoe pit!
Of course, you can always just relax on the huge river-side hammock or have a fire in the large firepit by the river. Located near many of NC’s best wineries and minutes to Stone Mountain State Park & the Blue Ridge Parkway you may need to stay for weeks to enjoy it all!!!

Hi! We are Dennis, Joy and Zoe (the Jack Russell). We have lived a number of places but once we came to North Carolina knew we would never leave!
Why the Owner Chose Traphill
Traphill is such a beautiful spot!!! Our property is on the Roaring River - and it lives up to it's name! It is very peaceful and rustic there. Being on the river provides endless entertainment, yet it is located only 20 minutes from the great small towns of Sparta, Elkin and North Wilesboro, for lot's of antiquing, local craft shopping and historic downtown areas. It is right in the middle of NC's great wine country and 2 miles from Stone Mountain State Park. We searched for 2 years for just the right spot - it sure was worth the wait!
