My husband and I came to this great rental with our two grown daughters, a son-in-law, a granddaughter, and a golden retriever. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We came for the relaxation, rest, and fishing, and that is exactly what we got! We caught enough crappie to bring home and have a fish fry. The beds are SUPER comfortable - my back hasn't felt so good getting out of bed in ages! The home and property was very cleaned and well-maintained. You could take your pick - sit in the recliners on the air conditioned porch, or sit at the table and eat on the screened-in porch! Both with a fantastic view of the lake! Our last day, our car broke down, and we had to extend checking out time until late in the evening. Chris was absolutely wonderful and SO accommodating - you couldn't ask for a nicer owner! Thanks, Chris! I would definitely recommend this property to anyone desiring to have a great, relaxing vacation at the lake! Tony and Gayle SappDid you find this review helpful? Could not have been more pleased with our stay. Neighbor came by to let us know that we could use the neighborhood boat ramp right around the corner which saved us from having to drive all the way to the marina. This was a very nice, clean rental. Would come back again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

This place was a great getaway from our Michigan winters for the 4 months we stayed here! Our cove was very peaceful through the winter months. We kayaked, sat on the deck, basked in the sun in the sunroom, and if we'd been any more relaxed, we may have lapsed into a coma! The house itself was very comfortable; we loved the fireplace and the 2 complete en suite bedrooms. The beds were very good, the kitchen well stocked with kitchen pots/pans/utensils. Chris is a very unobtrusive landlord, but readily available if needed. Our cleaning ladies, Sandra and Bonnie, were a delight! Plenty to do and see in the area, great nearby restaurants, movie theatres, historic landmarks, yet we were secluded from hustle and bustle. Our dogs were welcomed, and enjoyed watching the daily turkey buzzard gathering in a neighboring tree at sunset! Lovely Southern hospitality. We felt very safe and secure in the area. The only downside to the property is that it is steeply raked, and although we could move comfortably through the house, I personally had problems with walking to/from the dock and house and road, as I have many disabilities. Great for families, kids; not so much for handicapped or elderly. This is not a complaint, just my personal observation/problem. Thanks, Chris, for making our second winter of retirement a very enjoyable one!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We arrived Friday and came home today (Sunday). The house is nice and welcoming. Plenty of room for the two of us. Everything was in good working order. Our one concern was that because we checked out on a Sunday, the place where we take trash was closed, so we had to ride home with our trash (not a good experience). Otherwise, we had a good time. :)Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/2

The entire experience was wonderful! The owner was very quick to reply and very easy to deal with throughout all communications from prior to arrival to after our check out. The property is even more delightful than described and the photos don't do this property justice. The neighborhood was quiet and the lake is beautiful. We only caught catfish off the dock but it was rather late in the season I am told. Regardless, we had a wonderful time fishing and relaxing with our family. I would recommend this vacation rental to anyone needing a getaway and relaxation. Our family including our dog enjoyed our week visit very much and would love to return! Thank you!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

After some intensive searching, we found that the Woodhaven home was one of the best deals on the Lake, especially during the week of 4th of July. We booked it expecting a less than perfect experience, but we were very pleasantly surprised by the clean, well-stocked home. It's a bit of a walk from the house to the dock, but I preferred that since I have young children. We spoke with the neighbor who told us about a much closer boat ramp than Crooked Creek Marina, which was nice. All in all, it was a great vacation, and we will probably book again in this home.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Thanks Chris for letting us use your home for our get away! The house was very comfortable. We were able to get in two good days of fishing. Our trip was also great because we could bring our two Boston Terriers. We can recommend this place for anyone to stay and catch some bass Thanks again. RonnieRecommended for: Age 55+, pet owners.

I rented this place once, I rented it a second time, and I would be happy to rent it again. This property is perfect for a family fishing trip. We never left the dock and caught many sizable crappies throughout the day. The house itself has everything you could need or want. Fully equipped kitchen, nice HD Sony Wega, big comfortable beds, screened in sunporch, air-conditioned sun porch, and great big yard. Excellent dock with boathouse for fishing and swimming. You can tell that the owners care about their property and the comfort of their guests.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: Hi, We bought the home (as well as a few others) on Lake Sinclair as we fell in love with the area. We also own property in the North GA Mountains which we visit monthly. We are Floridians, with dreams of retiring in the mountains. We like to go boating, and Lake Sinclair with it steady water levels drew us to the area. I am a true fisherman, and have caught many nice bass, catfish and specks right off the dock. The cove the home is located in is truly one of the nicest on the entire lake. We love dogs (own 5), so don't hesitate to bring your best friends!
Why the Owner Chose Lake Sinclair:
We loved this home because its on one of the best coves on the entire lake, boat, ski, jet ski, fish without ever leaving your back yard. Crooked Creel Marina is 10 minutes away by car or boat, so the ease of launching the boat is just around the corner. (great eating at the Bone Yard grill as well) . We have furnished this home like we would live in it, you will find it very cozy and warm.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Great yard for our dogs to run around, best DEEP cove on lake, close to marina, QUIET!!
