GreyEagleFarm, our beautiful and rustic Sonoma countryside cottage retreat is on Meadowlark Lane which runs off Hwy 121/Arnold Drive across from the Sonoma Valley Airport.
We are a unique 'compound type' property that is private and
retreat - like, yet only 10 minutes from Sonoma's Plaza.
Situated on four acres, our cottage is a rustic, spacious and elegant lodge type design with high wood cathedral ceilings in the living, dining and kitchen area, yet cozy and comfortable with a wood burning stove and slate floors. We have one bedroom with a queen bed and one full bath which includes a washer and dryer.
The fully equipped kitchen is modern and has a charming garden window which looks out to the Sonoma hills. A propane barbecue on the outdoor deck is available for your convenience. Our cottage rents for $1350.00/week and we prefer long term furnished rentals by the month.
The cottage garden is surrounded by a rose strewn fence which lends privacy and charm to the peaceful atmosphere. Stained glass hangs in the windows which face the deck where a hammock for two hangs waiting for you to relax and enjoy the country air!
Our cottage bedroom has an old brass bed with a luxurious pillow top mattress, new wall to wall carpeting and high wood cathedral ceilings.The bath offers jets for soaking in the tub, shower, washer and dryer.
Our cottage sleeps 2 adults comfortably and has a twin futon sofa bed in the living area to accommodate a third guest.
We are located in the heart of the Carneros wine country amidst vineyards and pastoral farm landscape surrounded by the Sonoma hills. Some of our neighbors include Gloria Ferrer Wine and Champagne Caves, Cornerstone Sonoma Visitors Center, Jacuzzi Family Vineyards, Cline Cellars, Viansa Winery and Marketplace and Infineon Raceway.
A unique vintage airport, the Sonoma Valley Airport, where biplane and antique airplane rides are available is directly across the street from Meadowlark Lane. The Sonoma Country Antiques store is at the corner of Hwy 121 and Meadowlark Lane for antique browsing and finding unusual treasures.
GreyEagleFarm is comfortable, quiet and retreat like yet in close proximity to Sonoma town square. A 10 min drive brings you to the Plaza's shops, restaurants, museums and much more.
Our location is only 40 min to the Golden Gate Bridge and 30 minutes to St. Helena. Winery tours begin down the road and extend up into the Napa Valley for fun and interesting activities. Hiking, bicycling, coastal adventures, hot air balloon rides, biplane rides, the wine train, train town, Infineon raceway, museums and cultural activities are all within a very convenient distance. Several bike rental companies are in Sonoma town, just 10 minutes from the farm.
Our vacation rental cottage reflects our love of art, travel and nature. We have placed some of our collection of stained glass, vintage aviation posters and ethnic art from our travels to share with our guests. We made the cottage comfortable for ourselves, so it would be comfortable for our guests. Many custom designed and hand crafted details make our cottage a pleasure to enjoy.
