See the breathtaking Thousand Islands in upstate New York. Stay right on Millionaire's Row on the St. Lawrence River Seaway in the renovated Chalet on Wellesley Island. The Chalet was built by George Boldt, in 1895, as a guest house for his distinguished guests. Watch sea-faring and lake-going freighters glide right by your window all day and night. Islands dot the river, and your view is filled with historic homes with manicured lawns and colorful flowers. Walk to the Boldt Castle boathouse for a tour. Within minutes driving distance, take the Uncle Sam boat tour to see Boldt Castle, Singer Castle and Canada. See Thousand Islands Park, a community filled with old-fashioned charm including original merchant buildings from the mid-1800’s, Victorian-style homes and make a reservation for a memorable dinner at the four-star Wellesley Hotel. Visit the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton, the War of 1812 Museum in Alexandria Bay and enjoy good prices on shopping in area towns. Crystal clear waters make for the best fishing around. Watch the fish swim right before your eyes as you relax on the dock. Bring your passports for the short drive into Canada for more shopping, sightseeing and entertainment.

We stayed at this condo for a week with 5 people. It's perfect for 5 as one room has 2 beds with a pullout couch and the other bedroom has a queen size bed with adjoining bathroom. There is another full bath also which worked out well. The layout is perfect. There are two living areas - one with seating by the view of the river at the dining end of the condo and the other is further away for TV watchers. This area is really cool as it's all windows which open to make things cool. If it is a bit on the cold side, there is heat - yeah! The view of the river is fabulous. The dock is great for boats, fishing and swimming - the water is so clear and beautiful. This chalet is beautifully maintained with lovely landscaping and we loved being there. Very clean and everything you need for cooking is supplied. Great view of the river from kitchen sink. My daughter loved this cause she doesn't have a window to look out of at home by her sink. Great place for a peaceful and quiet vacation. Bolt Castle is close by and a must see attraction.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We stayed at this beautiful condo from July 16-July 20th 2012 and it was beyond our wildest dreams. The condo is just beautiful and spotless. We had the most amazing views and the pictures shown on this site do not do it justice...it is just breathless. Tracey and Howard were lovely to work with and gave us such great support and suggestions to help make our trip even more spectacular. We loved using the kayak and the dock and deck were just relaxing after a day of sight seeing and shopping. We did golfing, Kingston, Alex Bay and it was just one of the most memorable vacations we have taken. The kitchen, living room and bedroom were just beautiful and well decorated. We made new friends with the rest of the condo visitors. Looking for a place that has it all... this is it! We will definitely be coming back to Wellsley Island and staying here. We spent two weeks at this wonderful condo and enjoyed every minute - the views are amazing - we watched freighters passing by several times a day, while sitting on the front deck. The beds were comfortable, the condo is light and airy. The two kayaks that were provided with the condo, were used daily. We met most of the neighbors, all of whom were very friendly and helpful. All in all, it was a delightful experience and we hope to return.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
