This rental definitely deserves a 5 star rating! It was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and had every amenity you could think of. It met all of our expectations. Siesta Key is a beautiful vacation spot. We also enjoyed the Venice jetties, the drive along Casey Key, downtown Sarasota, great seafood restaurants and shopping on St. Armands circle. The owners take great pride in their home and it shows!

The pictures don't do this condo justice. From the minute we walked in the door we felt like we were pampered. The condo is immaculate & the only thing you need to bring is a toothbrush. Luxourious condo close to everything

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautifully furnished and excellently equiped condo.The property was spotless and in excellent condition. We enjoyed watching the boats go by on the inter coastal and it was an easy walk to the powder-like beach. The pool area was well maintained with plenty of chairs to lounge in. We visited several restaurants and particularly recommend Turtles for casual dining and value. There are numerous restaurants within easy walking distance including, French, South American. Italian and seafood. Although the condo provides beach chairs we also enjoyed renting a beach cabana from The Cabana Boys. We recommend a visit to the Ringling Museum in Sarasota and enjoyed a lovely meal in the Treviso restaurant there. We would not hesitate to recommend this condo to family or friends.

Even better than expected!

I spent the week of November 3rd to the 10th in this wonderful condo and loved every minute of it! It was spotless and so well stocked with everything you could possibly want or need. I'm a private chef and I would give anything to have this kitchen in my home. Siesta Key is my new vacation destination! I had an absolutely perfect vacation from start to finish and having an amazing place to call home was the icing on the cake. Because I was traveling alone I never used the 2nd bedroom except to get a chair out of the closet. I loved having a walk-in closet to hold all my stuff. Nothing had to be sitting out in the bedroom as it would in a hotel room. I don't think I ever sat on the sofa because my back loved the leather recliner chair! I'm going to get one just like it. The walk to the beach took about 5 minutes and my first glimpse of the water took my breath away! I thought I would be disappointed not being on the gulf side but the view of the intracoastal waterway was gorgeous! I didn't see any dolphins but I did watch the pelicans fishing in the water every day. One day I woke up and there was a wall of fog right up to the windows. Thought I was in a scary movie for a few minutes but it burned off fast. I walked to the village every day and it took about an hour. That justified me eating a double scoop of ice cream on my beach walk back. And the beach........I'm still on a high from the memories! It is the most beautiful beach I have ever been on and I've traveled to beaches at least 35 times. One day I drove to Turtle beach and walked there. Very secluded and very beautiful in a different way. I found the beach house I will buy when I win the lottery :) Be sure to check out the pool......VERY nice and not crowded at all. I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is and how easy it was to connect with Audrey and Jim with any questions I had. I did a lot of research and am completely happy with my choice! Best Ever!

We have stayed in many vacation rentals, but have to place this one at the top of our list. From the moment we opened the front door and saw the view out the back lanai, we were hooked. But by the end of our two week stay, we realized the view was just one small part of this magical place. Jim & Audrey have missed nothing in their thoughts about what a renter might need. Trip to the beach...everything we needed was easily at hand; Dinner out...even the coupons were provided; Gourmet dinner at home...good pots, pans, small appliances, and lovely dinnerware...all there. We couldn't have been more pleased. We would rent here again in a NY-minute!

This condo at Midnight Cove was the icing on the cake for our trip to Siesta Key. It was spacious, spotless, and contained everything anyone could possibly need -- or wish for -- during a trip to the beach. We particularly appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and all the beach paraphernalia. The location was perfect as well! Jim and Audry were wonderful, attentive hosts, emailing and calling us several times throughout the process to answer questions, provide essential information, and make sure we were happy. Not only would I return to this condo if I had the chance, but I have already recommended it to friends. Thank you for a fabulous experience!

This place is the greatest!! Jim & Audrey have left nothing undone. The property is beautiful and has all the latest in everything you could hope or want. Our stay was very enjoyable from begginng to end. Very relaxing with a beautiful beach. We did rent a car and found the restaurants to be excellent, too. We especially like Sharky's Rest. and Phillipe's was so good. This property is immaculate and the photo do not do it justice.

What a vacation!

Our family vacation and stay here was wonderful! It was truly enjoyable and we would most definitely come back and rent this unit again. The short walk to Siesta Key Beach was really nice and we could not get enough each day we were there. The condo was so clean and comfortable with all the amenities needed. The trip to the grocery store was easy and we only had to buy our food and drink (and laundry detergent, though they had some there for us to initially use). Everything else was available for us to use (beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach cart for transporting). The kitchen was awesome...clean, bright and stocked with everythiing needed. I read about the Dolphins and Manatees in their guest book, so I made sure I sat on the lanai each morning...sure enough, I saw them! The dolphins were actually swimming very close by to us in the water on the beach too...so wonderful to see and be near. So...without a doubt we would definitely come back! Thank you, again, Jim and Audrey!

Our Own Little Paradise

This was our 2nd year returning and it was just as nice as the first! It felt like home from the time we walked in the door until we left 14 days later. We love sitting on the lanai every morning drinking our coffee and watching the dolphins and boats sail by. This year we even seen manatees. The pool is great and the short walk to the beach is even better! There are great restaurants and shopping near by. The comfort of this condo is so nice you hate to even leave. Looking forward to returning again next year!!

Wonderful Vacation in a beautful Condo!!!!

This is the first time we have ever rented a condo, much less sight unseen other than photos posted. With that being said, we were hoping that the condo looked as nice as it did on this website and we were more than satisfied. The condo looked like it had literally not ever been used, it was amazingly clean and they provide anything and everything you could ever need to make the condo feel like home and so that you have everything at your fingertips. From kitchen supplies to laundry detergent/soaps and even beach chairs/coolers, etc... you don't have to bring anything other than the food you want to eat as the kitchen has more than what you need to cook, eat and clean up. The beds were so comfortable, linens and towels, even beach towels, were provided... I couldn't believe how much the owners put into providing for those who stay at their condo. Let alone the condo, it is in the center of all that you would want to do, from the beautiful intercoastal way to the beach and so many wonderful restaurants within blocks/miles. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and such a reasonable price. The owners were very responsive and communicated with me via email and phone as needed up to the vacation and even checked in with us to make sure we got there and were able to get into the condo smoothly. We would love to go back to visit Siesta Key and stay at this quiet, beautiful, clean condo in the near future.

This condo exceeded all of our expectations. It was very accurately described and the owners were true to their word; they're true Hoosiers. All of the amenities were first-class, clean and well-maintained. When we return to Siesta Key, we will definitely look forward to staying here again. It's a very quiet, relaxing area, close to the beach, pool and restaurants.

Jim & Audrey your condo was perfect - you really have thought of everything! We really enjoyed breakfast on the lanai watching the sun raise, the boats pass under the draw bridge and the dolphins all while reading the morning paper. Most lovely condo -- clean, clean, clean. We also found the condo like new, well equipped and beautifully decorated. This condo is truely special. It is the best of both worlds, a beautiful view of the Intercoastal Waterways and easy private access to the fabulous Siesta Key beach. The owners were a joy to work with as well. Their pride in ownership is very clear.

We had the pleasure of spending the week of November 12-19 in Audrey and Jim's beautiful condo. We can honestly say this far exceeded our expectations. We were pampered with everything we needed and more. The kitchen was state of the art, fully stocked and made us seriously consider whether we wanted to even dine out. The bedrooms were comparable to a high-end hotel. Waking up each morning and sitting on the screened-in lanai with our coffee was so enjoyable. The people we met at the pool were friendly and it was so convenient to just walk across the street to the beach.....nothing compares to those "Siesta Key" sunsets! Audrey and Jim truly know what people want out of a vacation and they certainly delivered!!! This was by far the cleanest and most comfortable condo we have ever vacationed in. We can't wait to visit again.

The condo owners have provided everything a traveler to the Key could ever want. Just imagine the perfect condo with all the amenities from towels to silver and dishware to all paper goods to top of the line appliances to a beach bag. It's all there. Just bring shorts, golf shoes and a bathing suit(although you'll have room for plenty more to store in the walk-in closet and many storage drawers). They have left nothing to chance and keep in touch to ensure everything is in order. The condo has it all, the location is ideal, you will not be disappointed.

We had super high expectations for when we arrived and they were all exceeded when we arrived. The condo was spotless and had everything to get us started shampoo, toilet paper ect. Towels were lovely plush and plentiful. Every kitchen utensil you could imagine was there. We didn't really want to even eat out,How could you with that beautiful view of the bay and bridge. Tons of beach stuff and a cart were provided . which made it a breeze to get to the beach with the kids. The washer and dryer were great we could wash our clothes and bathing suits while we played in the sand.Our boys loved listening for the siren of the bridge going up for a passing boat and every once in a while a dolphin would stop by and jump out of the water while we were enjoying the back porch. We are so grateful for Jim & Audrey opening there condo to us and allowing us to stay there and have a wonderful vacation.There are no words to express how grateful that I am. Thanks again :)

A great place to chill. The pictures are 100% accurate, the condo is stocked with EVERYTHING you could ever want, and everything works great! The owners are very nice, checked in on us (by phone) when we arrived and made us feel welcomed. Don't bring anything but swimsuits and sunscreen - this place has coolers, floats, umbrellas, cart to make transporting to beach a breeze, every imaginable kitchen appliance and utensil (if you want to cook), computer (if you HAVE to check emails), games, books, TV's in every room (if you aren't at the beach), lots of towels. And it was so clean, towels folded, like checking into a top hotel. Great location near southern bridge off island, nice grocery and restaurants in walking distance. We watched the sun rise over the inter-coastal every morning from the enclosed porch. It's not on the beach but that wasn't really a big deal for us, path to beach is right across from entrance to condo development. Nice to have our own covered parking space. We'd like to go back, maybe even in the winter or sometime cool so we can just throw the doors open to the porch and let the fresh air flow thru (couldn't do that when it was over 90 every day but the AC made up for that nicely!).

What a wonderful place to stay it was even more than I expected! The pictures don't do it justice. We felt at home from the minute we got there. They have thought of everyhthing you could possibly need or want. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai every morning drinking coffee and watching the dolphins and beautiful boats float by. The restaurants are all wonderful and close enough to either walk or take a short drive. Anna Marie Island was a neat little place to see as St Armands circle was to with all its little shops and restaurants. Hope to return agian next year!

We loved it as soon as we opened the door! It looked like a designer show home. The furnishings, appliances, and electronics were all top of the line. We especially liked the beach items that were provided -cart, chairs, umbrella, noodles, and boogie board! The view of the intercoastal waterway was fabulous, and every room contained more than the essential items. We were happy every day, and felt like the owners cared about us because they treated us like royalty.

Perfect Location and Apartment on Siesta Key

We have stayed in this well-mainted unit at Midnight Cove II during our last two visits to Sarasota and have truly enjoyed our stay each time. The owners have thought of every possible need that you could have to make your vacation enjoyable. The apartment is very clean, and has every imaginable item you could possibly need, a beautiful new kitchen which contains every utensil and appliance you could possibly want, totally remodeled bathrooms, beach towels and chairs (including a cart). The apartment is spacious, with split bedrooms, the beds are very comfortable and the walk-in closet is an unexpected feature. The full-size washer and dryer make vacationing easy. If you need or want to work during vacation, a computer, printer and wireless access that all worked very well are furnished in the apartment. The apartment has a large enclosed and screened lanai overlooking the inter-coastal waters of Siesta Key, perfect for morning coffee, reading the paper and watching the boats go by. The apartment and complex are quiet and located near the southern bridge of Siesta Key, which allows for easy access to nearby restaurants, shopping and site seeing venues. The complex is great for morning walks and has a well-kept heated pool. The morning newspaper box is located steps away. It is located directly across the street to beach access to one of the world’s best beaches and the most beautiful sunsets. A designated covered parking spot is available for your use. The only drawback to the apartment is that you will be sad to leave when your vacation is over. Definitely one of the best places we have rented.

SHANGRILA...........A magical place where everything is perfect. Well, after travelling to over 25 countries through the years we've found our Shangrila at Jim and Audrey Jansen's lovely home in Siesta Key, Florida. From when you first open the front door and enter the funishings and facilities are tastefully appointed and perfectly selected to rival a 5 star hotel. We always enjoy the fantastic view of the intercoastal waterway from the lanai where you can watch the yachts going by at any time of day and spot the dolphins at dusk. Nearby Siesta Key beach with it's world class number 1 sand is our favourite place to stroll at any time. We also enjoy playing a friendly game of tennis at the Cove II courts where you meet lots of nice people and also at the lovely pool ....One of our favouites anywhere. As we like to eat out the cornucopia of quality restaurants in the greater Sarasota area make it truly a diners delight. After coming to Midnight cove for more than 20 years and to Jim and Audrey's for more than 13 years when it came time to celebrate a special birhtday we thought of London, Paris, The French Riviera, Tuscanny and Ireland all of which we've enjoyed but we finalized on the Jansen's at Siesta Key because it has it all and is, truly our "Shangrila forever" Dave and Bev Butler Newmarket, Ontario Canada

A wonderful and well equipped Property

We had rented other units in different communities on Siesta Key before and were pleasantly surprised once we saw this great property overlooking the Inter coastal. The interior is tasteful and updated with attention to every detail. The kitchen is completely equiped and absolutely in line with the property description. Everything is spic and span and well maintained. The linens and towels etc. are first class and it shows that the owners put in a lot of effort to make sure that their place is a first class property. Just bring your clothes and personal care items and feel right at home. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a great place to rent. Many thanks to the owners Audrey and Jim who were very flexible, helpful and pleasant to deal with.

The description of this condo and the photos are spot on! Everything was just beautiful, the amenities to many to name, anything needed was on site and of very good quality, the location of this property combinined with the stunning scenery and abundant wildlife made this a dream vacation for our family. The view of the ICW from the condo at sunrise was simpily just to beautiful to put into words, the walk to the beach was not bad either, and what a beach it is ! We have been to many beaches on the east coast but all pale in comparison, the white sand and clear blue water were breath taking. WOW! What a vacation thanks, we WILL be back.

Beautiful Condo

We were so impressed with how beautiful and well-stocked this condo was. The decorating was fantastic, the unit was very spacious, and everything we needed was right there in the condo. The grounds of Midnight Cove II are impeccably landscaped. We were so pleasantly suprised at how nice this place is. We had breakfast and coffee every morning on the screened in lanai. Then, we would stroll thru the complex to the beach. The walk was not bad, and we were able to stay shaded most of the way there via the car ports!!! The beaches of Siesta Key sell themselves. They were absolutely wonderful, and the Gulf was warm and oil-free! One day, we rented boats and drove around the intercoastal and saw lots of dolphins. We even saw a Manatee! We would definitely return.

Dear Jim and Audrey, Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful condo. We have been vacationing at Siesta Key for 6 years. Your unit was the best ever. The location was great. We parked our car at Midnight Pass road loaded up your beach cart, you provided for us, and walked to the beach. The kitchen kept us busy making all kinds of meals. I want a kitchen like that in my house! Your condo is SO clean. That is very important to us. We would recommend your property to everyone. In fact, if anyone near Ft. Jim and Audrey, Thank you for allowing us to stay at your condo. Even though we could only stay a week, we had a wonderfully relaxing time. As soon as we saw your condo on the website we chose it because of how well kept it looked and where it sits. We were not at all disappointed to arrive and find it looked just like the pictures on the website. I was surprised and happy to find that everything we needed was already provided, so we could head out to the beach instead of the store as soon as we got there. Jim and Audrey, Thank you for offering the perfect oasis in our favorite paradise, Siesta Key. There is not one thing that we wanted or needed that is not provided in your beautiful and spacious condo - We look forward to our next visit, as we now consider your home our 'home away from home' as well! Exceeded Our Expectations

Like a show home ready to move in with everything you'd want. Everything is quality, from the sheets to the 3 flat screen tv's and stereo. The owners are helpful and accessible (by phone). Absolutely nothing we'd change about our stay there, except having to leave! The pictures are an accurate representation. Sitting on the lanai one breakfast we saw dolphins play in the intercoastal waterway just feet away from us. It's a five minute walk to the never crowded never hot white powder beach, and the bath water warm swimmable gulf, we never even used the condo pool. Lots of shopping nearby, We ate in a couple of nights but also a variety of decent restaurants nearby. We'll be back.

Great Property and Thoroughly/Tastefully Equipted

This is a wonderful property overlooking the ICW. The interior has been up-dated and has everything you need from hair dryers to electric juicers. The kitchen is completely equipted with quality appliances, cookware and knives (something that's hard to find in a rental). There is a computer with printer available to access the inter-net that really came in handy for return flight confirmations and boarding passes-- not to mention monitoring business and personal e-mail. The linens and towels etc are first class. The owners have invested to make this a first class property that makes this a place you can arrive with your clothes and personal care items and have all the comforts of home already there!!!
