Welcome to Southern Comfort,a log cabin located in Lake Lure NC. This log cabin was built 2006 and is located in the private gated community of River Bend. While staying in our cabin you will enjoy two private lakes with a beach, picnic area, water fall, fishing, hiking and more. We furnish floats and a kayak for you to enjoy.
The main floor has open ceiling to a loft, gas fireplace, sofa with love seat and rocker. Direct TV and HBO. The dinning table seats six and the kitchen is well equipped. The spacious bedroom has a full size bed and is decorated with a bear theme and has a walk in closet. A large, full bath with standup shower is located across from the bedroom.
Walk up the stairs with the hand carved handrail, to the loft which has a sofa, love seat and bunk beds. The master bed room upstairs has a queen size bed, antiques and a flat screen TV with a DVD player. A large full bath is off the bedroom.
The basement-game room has a bathroom, bunk beds, pool table, air hockey and other activities. A large deck offers a quite retreat to hear the Broad river at the base of the hill.

Year Purchased: 2006
I have lived in Charleston, SC for most of my adult life. However, my wife Cindy was raised here. Living minutes from the beaches, we wanted to get away to different surroundings. So we vacationed in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We rented several different log cabins before making our decision to build our own. We pulled all of the best ideas from multiple cabins, and then created our own wonderful log cabin. We love the secluded location and all of the wild life that come to visit.

Southern Comfort is located at the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Just 15 minutes for the town of Chimney Rock and just 29 miles west is Asheville and the Biltmore Estate.

For allowing our family to use your beautiful cabin. The kids had a great time at the lake here at River Bend. We had to drag them away almost everyday. We also loved using the kayak and the john boat, as well as the tubes. We had a great vacation swimming, tubing boating and fishing. Your place is wonderful and we hated to leave. Can't wait to come back. You have really made a place where a family can come and have a great time. Thanks once again, especially for the last minute booking.
