This unique little cottage has over 700 square feet of interior living space and a large back yard complete with BBQ, an out door dining area and a privacy fence for relaxing after an adventure filled day. The perfect vacation rental! Enjoy your time away in comfort and style. The house was completely rebuilt in 2008, and has a comfortable modern feel. The furniture reflects the Texan heritage of the Big Bend area and we've chosen a few unusual art pieces to brighten the rooms. We are both Triathletes and the house includes spare water bottles, bike maintenance tools and day bags.

The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
Only four blocks from town, you can easily walk to restaurants, art galleries and shops. As an added convenience, the Food Basket grocery store is located just around the corner and it is walking distance to Sul Ross State University. The Railroad Blues and Harry's Tinaja have live music and cold beer. The movie theatre is great, the guy who sells tickets also sells popcorn and then runs the projector. By the way, True Value is the absolute best hardware store in the world, they have everything.
Owner's Map of Alpine
Alpine is the coolest small town in the west. We have been traveling to West Texas for 5 years and we decided we wanted to put down some roots there. It's a long drive, but it is worth it! We are both triathletes and use the cottage as a training base for long weekends of swimming, biking and running. This place is great for bikes, with or without an engine! On a long weekend to Big Bend we spent the whole journey listening to one of our favorite bands, The Stone Roses, so it was only natural that we should name our cottage after "Manchester's Finest". There are some items in the house that provide clues to our favorite Stone Roses tracks!
