WOW! I was transported to a whole other world as I entered this spectacular ocean front home! You could not ask for a better location in the Santa Cruz/ Capitola area! This amazing “Italian” villa getaway is located directly on the world famous surfing beach “Pleasure Point.” Relax and listen to the crashing waves as you watch pro surfers compete on the “Cold Water Classic” wave. This direct ocean front property includes breathtaking views as far as the eye can see. The home is a true escape, surrounding you with authentic 19th century Italian architecture and design. An interior designer's dream come true!
One of my favorite spots in the home was a little nook on the back porch with super comfy lounge chairs overlooking the water. Since Santa Cruz can be chilly in the mornings and evenings, the overhead outdoor heater provided a wonderful spot to sip local wine or coffee and take in the ocean breeze!
The view off the private veranda in the master bedroom is the most wonderful way to wake up after being lulled to sleep by the crashing of the waves. The master bathroom is extravagantly designed so that you never want to leave. The large jetted tub overlooks the water and the surfers below.
The gardens that surround this home are exquisite and unique. There is even a secret herb garden complete with a beautiful fountain. If you love art, design and photography, this home is a must visit for you!
The city of Santa Cruz is the ideal place to vacation with great shopping, food, and a relaxed pace of life. This unique town provides a glimpse into beach culture at its finest. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the people in Santa Cruz! The town also provides a nice break from the typical chain stores and eateries.
