No Snow is a comfortable, well-equipped, family home located on the quiet North Shore of Grand Cayman away from the wall-to-wall hotels and buildings of the busier part of the island. In November 2006 we began an extensive remodeling of the house. It has never looked better.
The sea breeze generally comes in directly from the ocean, a pollen free environment.
No Snow is a wonderful, quiet house to get away and recreate oneself. The bedrooms are located around the outside of the house with a large central area with space for a group to congregate, eat, visit, and play together. The round table in the pictures has a motorized lazy susan where food is served. A cord runs around the underside of the edge. Anyone can pull the string to the left to turn the lazy susan on and bring food around. Pull the cord to the right to shut it off. Beth says that as children they liked to turn the pot handles outward to knock over the water glasses.
The view of the ocean is beautiful. Sitting on the deck on the ocean side, you can sip coffee in the morning as you watch the sun come up to your right. At night you can see the Milky Way running North-South in the sky.
About 200 yards out from the beach is the reef. Snorkeling between the beach and the reef provides a spectacular view of sea life in miniature: fish, coral, conch, lobster, and occasionally a moray eel or octopus. Go out each morning and see where they have moved to during the night.

This allows air conditioning bedrooms if it does get too hot or for those suffering from breathing problems. Ceiling fans are located throughout the house. Beth has been coming to No Snow for over 40 years. The house was built by her father and has been a recreation destination for many, many people over the years. Beth and Don had a common interest in scuba diving and underwater photography when they met and married in 1988. Our children Ann and Sean became certified divers at the ages of 12 and 10 with their open water dives in, where else?, but Grand Cayman. We hope you enjoy our home.

Our family had an awesome time at No Snow! It was nice being away from all the crowds but close enough to do things up at Rum Point. We loved being able to go out to our own beach to swim and snorkel. The house was well stocked with everything that you need. We had tons of room and the kitchen was great too. I would recommend this to anyone and would come back again!
Owner response:Our guests from Blue Springs, MO found No Snow on the internet. Interestingly we live about 15 miles apart. It is a delight to have guests who enjoy No Snow. It is doubly rewarding when they basically come from our home town. We appreciate them sharing their experience with others.

i have not been to the cayman islands for 31 yrs., but i remember how wonderful beth was to offer it to her fellow med student, charlie! i got your xmas card and put the website in my computer. i am presently showing the site to my kids...maybe someday we will return with our kids...the house looks wonderful, as it did so long ago, and the beach the same...beth, thank you for such great memories...and i will try to talk the fam into a return trip, annerhoades

It has been several years since I stayed at No Snow. At the time it was owned by the original owner whom was a bit of a pioneer. Because there were no roads to the site he barged all the building material across a small cut-through at the reef break. We used that passage to shore dive to the wall which is about a half mile out. The reef is named after that fine man (Andies Reef). From the shore to the reef break is at least a hundred yards and excellant for snorkel particularly at night. Down the road is Rum Point which had a real nice dive operation, rest, and bar. I am glad to see the new owners appreciate this location and have restored the old house. I will go back someday.

From the Owners. No Snow is a comfortable house on a beautiful quiet beach on Grand Cayman's north shore. It is well designed for groups and lends itself to visiting with one another, eating, playing games, or reading a book. Our well equipped kitchen provides convenience and saves money. Guests can stay in touch via phone and internet and stay up to date with news on the cable TV.
