LAKE BRUIN OXBOW LODGE is brand new, after being rebuilt (due to tornado damage of April 2011). The Oxbow boasts a wonderful 6 bedroom/ 4 bath house that is 2-story. 600 sq ft has been added to the upstairs den and a new 500 sq ft addition holds a monstrous bathroom/ dressing room with 3 sinks and a huge shower + a 2nd full-size laundry room and 14 foot walk-in closet. The downstairs has another den and a 600 sq ft screened sleeping porch with fans. The lake side of the house is all glass and the sunset views are AWESOME! The top floor has a vaulted ceiling that brings the sunset inside. From the upstairs den, you step out to a 48' wide deck. You won't believe the dock...over 2200 sq. ft of space, boat slip with lift and a swim deck for the little ones. A large covered area has fans. The dock is large enough to hold your party or reception! There's plenty of room inside and out and the property is very private.
The house is very well equipped...plenty of linens, pots & pans, grills...we even stock the pantry for your convenience!
Across the street is the Lake Bruin Country Club...golf, swim, play tennis! Swimming is $5/person/day and tennis is free. The green fees are $28(week days) and $38 (weekends)...and that includes the cart.

Lake Bruin Oxbow Lodge is an extraordinary venue for your wedding. There is an arbor covered with pretty vines to wed under and a gorgeous lake (and sunset, if you wish) for a background.
The grounds and dock provide a different setting for your reception, and there's plenty of parking for your guests. Call or email and we will build your personal wedding package. We have a special package that includes 3 days & 2 nights...location for rehearsal & dinner, wedding & reception, and house your guests for 2 nights...all for $3000.

We stayed at the house in Sept. for my husband's class reunion. It was an excellent stay,the cost was very reasonable, and there was plenty of room for people to stop by and visit. In fact, we have already rented it for the next years reunion.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We just returned from 4 funfilled days and 3 relaxing nights at the Oxbow Lodge! The pictures on the website don't do it justice. We've stayed in many vacation rentals and must say that this was furnished and stocked the best. Only thing you need is your food! The owner called and checked to make sure everything was to our satisfaction which I appreciated and the housekeeper left her phone number also. We were at Lake Bruin for an annual family reuinion at the State Park on Saturday but came early and stayed a day later to make it a mini vacation. We had 8 adults and 3 children (9, 5, & 1) in our party and had room to spare. We really enjoyed the pier and were pleased to find the lift in good working condition so we didn't have to worry about our boat. Fish weren't biting until the final evening when our son-in-law caught 15 large mouth bass! We're looking forward to returning next year... Thanks for a Great Place!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: Robert and Judi Horton...We purchased our first lake property in 1992, decorated it to please and started renting. Our customers marveled at how nice the property was and that we would rent it. It was a hit and turned into a great business. One of our customers just HAD to have it, so we sold, bought another property and have had one weekend open the whole year. Next we bought a condo in Hot Springs, Arkansas on Lake Hamilton. Lake Bruin Oxbow Lodge is our new purchase. Lake Bruin is a very popular recreational lake and we look forward to a new business in a new area.

To add to the fun, we are located across the street from the country club. Oxbow Lodge has lots of room inside and out that makes it a great place for reunions, weddings, meetings, etc...yet, a romantic spot for just two. Our location boasts a spectacular sunset. The huge decks give you plenty of space for 'oohing & ahhhing'! Another extraordinary feature is the enormous dock with its screen room and boat house with lifts.
