Do you ever dream of escaping? Simply leaving behind all the responsibilities and worries of your day-to-day life? If so we are happy to offer the perfect place for you to do this. Come stay with us at Hideaway Cabin to experience a real mountain getaway.
Tucked away, seven miles south of Breckenridge, surrounded by acres of national forest you will experience mountain tranquility combined with all the comforts of home. As you approach the home, the windy and steep driveway takes you up and away. So, climb up and leave reality behind.
Before stepping inside take a minute to admire the unparalleled views of Mt. Quandary. It will feel so close that you will suddenly understand the enchantment of a Colorado 14er (a mountain standing tall over 14,000 ft.). Once you enter the home let the log cabin continue to embellish your wilderness fantasy as you are pleasantly surprised by how much bigger it is then the average mountain cabin.
Immediately, the open living room beckons and inspires you to build a crackling fire in the grand stone fireplace. When hunger strikes wander into the enormous kitchen outfitted with travertine countertops and all the necessities to whip up a delicious home cooked meal. But, you may find it hard to focus on the food when you take notice of the expansive windows in the connected dining room, which overlook the majestic mountains. After your filling meal, wander upstairs for another amazing vantage point and enjoy the views while you play a game of pool or from the master bedroom as you lay in the oversized bed, both tall and impressive, designed to make you feel like royalty.
Before winding down your day you must take a dip in the eight-person hot tub. It is truly essential to completing your fantasy of a mountain retreat. There is nothing better than dashing across the icy cold snow and leaping into the steaming hot tub. The bubbling pool of piping hot water is both rejuvenating and calming as you watch the snow fall beside you.
Hideaway Cabin is ideal for those looking to getaway. There is internet, but no Wi-Fi. We know you will fall in love with this home if you are looking to leave a little bit of reality behind. It is the panacea for all over-worked and stressed individuals that want nothing more than peace and quiet, ideally complimented by modern amenities and unbeatable views. So come escape and fall in love with this special home.
In addition each of our homes is only supplied with Eco-friendly tissues, soaps, detergent, and shampoo that have not been tested on animals. We strive to provide you with the best of everything to ensure you will come to love Breckenridge and this cabin as much as we do.
Plus there’s no reason to leave your best friend behind as pets are welcome with prior approval and a $15/daily fee. Or if more friends and family want to join you on your next Breckenridge vacation ask us about Quandary Vista across the street.

Map & Owner's Profile
Why the Owner Chose Blue River
A very common line around here is “we came for the winter and stayed for summer”. I can’t tell you how many “locals” say they came here to experience just one season of fun on the slopes before returning to the “real world”. Five, 10, 20 years later they’re still here! Some tried to leave and ended up coming back thinking that retirement was just too far off! Breckenridge is an adult's playground. With or without children, there are numerous activities and events to keep all ages happy.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
I visit this property regularly and know it about as well as I know my own home. I can tell you that my favorite aspect of this home is it’s ruggedness without giving up any conveniences. This is a log cabin perched up at the end of a steep and windy drive with nothing but views. The front of the house opens up to sky and mountains. The back deck with 8-person hot tub is nestled in trees. When at this house I feel like I’m away from it all. Still, it’s in a residential area and the home provides the conveniences of cable TV, a large kitchen that’s great for entertaining, and a loft that includes a pool table/ping table. For a two bedroom cabin it’s ideal for a couple or for a large group because it can sleep as many as eight in beds! This is where I would put up my immediate family if the home didn’t get booked out so far in advance!
Owner's Map of Blue River
Hi!
We are Pete and Imane and we own a small vacation lodging business called Book Breck Lodging. We manage several homes here in Breckenridge for second homeowners. The advantage of a small management company over renting directly from a homeowner or from a large resort is that we are on location and accessible.
The best part of the job for us is that we get to meet people who also love Breckenridge or who are about to experience it for the first time. We each fell in love with this town because of the variety of things that it offers. It's a small town with a big personality. It offers the charm, quaintness and history typical of a small town, but combines the liveliness and variety of different fun and adventurous activities, high end restaurants and shopping, and year round community activities. It’s the perfect balance of two worlds that has created a laid back and fun place to be. We have yet to meet someone who hasn’t fallen under the Breckenridge spell!
Sometimes we just talk to our guests on the phone. Sometime we’ll have a glass of wine with them and really get to know them. It depends on the guest and if they prefer privacy in their vacation home away from home, or if the have time to sit down with some locals. Either way, we want our guests to think of us as their friends in Breckenridge who they can come visit again and again.

We came here for my soon-to-be-sister-in-law's bachelorette party. It was Fabulous! 4 girls just sitting around, completely enjoying each others company in a wonderful cabin with an incredible view!!! We did a little shopping in Breckenridge and originally planned to have a ladies night out in town but the cabin is so comfortable and inviting, we decided to stay in! It was, by far, the best bachelorette party ever! We laughed, ate, laughed again, and enjoyed our stay here immensely! Thank you!! P.S. We hope to be back next summer!

We absolutely loved our stay here at the Hideaway Cabin. Such a romantic place to spend part of our honeymoon. The views are breathtaking and the hot tub and fireplace was perfect. The highlight of our stay was the snowfall we woke up to one morning. There was no better way to spend a Monday afternoon than sitting in the hot tub with snow falling all around us. We look forward to visiting again in the future but hopefully next time with a family to fill up all the beds! :) Thank you again for sharing with us your beautiful home!

We had Such a great time at the Hideaway Cabin! :) It had everything we needed and more. The hot tub was wonderful and very relaxing. Saw some deer and the dog nearly caught a chipmunk! Thankfully he didn't :). Wonderful way to end the summer with the family.

We greatly enjoyed our time here at this house and in this area. It was so nice to come "home" every day while here. We loved all the fun - pool table and hot tub. Would do this again in a heartbeat. Recommend a less "sticky" key and curtains - otherwise fabb!

Thanks for sharing this beautiful home with us. We truly enjoyed every minute we spent here! This was out more exciting trip yet as we finally saw many species of wildlife. We were completely surprised by 3 young moose one evening around 8pm that were down at the street level and grazed for awhile at the side yard of the house across the street. We were even more surprised the next morning when sitting down for breakfast around 7:30am when we saw three young moose again, this time out the dining room window between this house and the one next door. We were able to get some excellent pictures from the deck in the back. We visit Summit County every summer and would most certainly love to return to this home and would highly recommend it to others!

We really enjoyed our time at your cabin. We couldn't have asked for better views. It was a nice surprise to see snow on the mountains. The kids even got to snow tube at Peak 8 Fun Park. The super slide and coaster were great too. The downtown area of Breckenridge was wonderful with its great shops and restaurants. We spent a day at the Royal Gorge and was glad to get back to our little cabin in the woods to relax. We would love to come back and explore more of the area.

We had a blast staying in this house, thanks so much. When it snowed we made a snow man. But sadly it melted. Thanks so much! P.S. This note was written by a kid, ME!
