South Lake Tahoe has innumerable activities and incredibly beautiful views. Within minutes one can find Fallen Leaf Lake, Heavenly, Kirkwood, Emerald Bay, Camp Richardson, Nevada State Line with world class casinos and the beaches of Lake Tahoe. The town is rich with landmark buildings and old style restaurants as well as upbeat pubs and bars.
The Unique Benefits at this House
My home features a very large private back yard with many tall pine trees and neighboring log cabins and charming homes. Within a short one or two block area there are great pubs and shops including the renown Steamers Bar and Grill that has recently been updated. Don't miss their $2 tacos on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

A long time homeowner and fan of South Lake Tahoe, I lovingly built this elegant home. It was originally a 700 square foot charming 1950's cabin made of knotty pine which I expanded to this luxury 3,200 square foot house, while preserving the quaint den with the original interior and fireplace.

I've done more than just stay here for a weekend — I've rented from Lorraine monthly in the past. It's a great, modern house with all the amenities you would expect, and then some. There's a hot tub, huge living room, and plenty of sleeping space for all your guests. I especially loved the location — within 3 blocks/walking distance (not many places can lay claim to that) of a half-dozen restaurants, including Steamer's and Orchid Thai. There's a great beer store right down the street, and you're super close to Raley's if you'd rather pick up groceries. Highly recommend this house! Lorraine is very friendly and helpful to deal with. She never even scolded me when I woke her up at 2 am because I'd lost the alarm code. There's a big backyard, so pets and children have plenty of room to roam.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children.

My family stayed here for just a weekend, but we fell in love with the place. It is a huge, beautiful home that is clean, well-decorated and very well-maintained. The fixtures of this home are all new and modern, and very functional! No one should leave this place without trying the lower-level shower! This is perfect for families. The huge backyard is fenced so it's safe if you have kids. This is also close to shopping and restaurants. The owner is just wonderful to do business with. This was, by far, the best house in Tahoe that I've ever stayed in.
