Good location on the river. Very scenic. Cabin is rustic and could use a good cleaning but a good loft design. Weekend unfortunately had heavy rain the entire time so fishing was limited. Did not dampen the whole experience too bad. Only problem with house was a leaky roof in one spot but this was due to the large amount of rain in a 48 hour period.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children.

Enjoyed every minute of our time! Especially loved the unique construction of the home! Listing was very accurate. Photos show the beauty! Clean enough! Yes there are cob webs on the outside of the glass, but it is pretty difficult to reach them! The owners were very willing to answer all our questions! Will surely be back with another group of friends!Recommended for: Girls getaway

This place was perfect for a weekend away from traffic, work, and other people. The river was beautiful. Wild Bluff is rustic, but amazing and well worth the trip. I can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Had a great time staying, relaxing and fishing on the Edisto River. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to get away and enjoy nature. The only bad thing about the experience is that we had to leave. Great house!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

The property is conveniently situated to hwy but secluded with a remote feel. Stunning views of the river. Needs a thorough cleaning and some updating to be really exceptional. Too much dust, spiderwebs and bugs with 70's genre appliances to be a real find. The property itself is heavily wooded and beautifully built on pole beams with glass in a unique locations. Just needs TLC.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is a fascinating home with a sensational setting! Quiet, beautiful and remote location. The owner is readily available and responsive to questions. I thoroughly enjoyed the surroundings and the unique attributes of the home and outdoor areas. I look forward to visiting again! Probably not a good choice for those who have high end demands and need state of the art electronics. This place is for nature lovers and people looking for a calming retreat. Also, I would not recommend small children for this setting due to the issues cited by owner.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

My husband and I stayed at Wild Bluff last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were visiting family and needed a private retreat close by. It is truly a treehouse and allows beautiful views of the river that are particularly beautiful at sunrise. I especially liked the laid back atmosphere of the place. We will be back!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had the best time this past weekend at Wild Bluff. Everything here is perfect- from the amazing architecture to breathtaking sunset views. We were looking for a break from the city and we found it. We brought our two dogs and they loved playing in the river. The private dock goes right into the cool, calm waters of the Edisto. There are a few deeper swimming holes but when we were there the water was at waist height or lower out towards the middle of the river-perfect!. We saw some beautiful wildlife and relaxed on our tubes while floating the river. We will absolutely return to Wild Bluff soon. This place really is a hidden treasure.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Great place to stay. The place is really unique. We loved every minute out there, had an absolute great time with a couple friends. It's a perfect place to get away on the river. We keep wanting to find a time to go back but it has not worked out yet. You will not regret renting this place at all. I will echo what some others have said, the place needs a little TLC, its just a bit dirty for a rental, it needs a good deep cleaning.. Other than that, its a great place to hang out and spend time. I don't think its all that safe for small children who are explorers, but a little bit older children who love the outdoors and can be trusted not to open all sort of windows and doors will ask to go back every year and will love it as much as you will. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

If you are looking for a quiet place away from civilization and modern technology, this is the place for you. The cabin is very rustic with amazing views. We felt as though we were staying in an adult tree house. The home is completely open with no curtains or walls to obstruct views. Would be travelers should heed owner's warning regarding small children. I would not recommend this home for folks with children under the age of 12. There are steep gullies and a narrow pathway to the dock that overhangs a ravine which is only railed on one side. In addition inside the house, you have a narrow spiral stair case and lots of glass doors that open to allow air in. Once the glass doors are open, the only things seperating you from the water are thin screens and trees. We had a wonderful time and will likely go again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

I had a wonderful and relaxing stay here. It is a beautiful setting in the trees overlooking the river. The way the house is positioned on a bluff affords a panoramic view of river and woods. Great kayaking (I covered 25 miles from Green Pond to Mars Oldfield landing in two trips). I definitely want to return!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

There is no place like it. You can't beat staying in Robert Marvin's hidden log cabin on the banks of the longest and largest river system completely contained by the borders of South Carolina. Make sure you bring your "river rat" so you can enjoy tubing the Edisto. If you want a get-away, this is where you should be. It is quiet & peaceful with all the outdoor amenities including plenty of shooting stars (only if you dare to venture down the long boardwalk to the dock).Did you find this review helpful? Wild Bluff is a fantastic getaway! Peaceful, like being in a treehouse right above the river's edge. Views from all directions of forest and river. Rustic. No carpet, no big screen TV. Compact kitchen and bath; designed for the smallest footprint on this incredible site. A place you'll never want to leave.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2
