We settled into the green house quickly. Larry, Sue and Alice were very accommodating. Doing dishes was so pleasant when you can look out the window to the lake which was right in the back yard. The street we were on was quiet and oh so friendly. We felt so blessed to be in Sebring. The sunsets on the lake were breathtaking. And thanks to Larry, Sue and Alice for the use of the paddle boat and beach towels and beach chairs. Anything we needed seemed to be available. The historic circle and the activities each month were fun. Other suggestions of things to do-- Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales, Gatorama, Holy Land Experience in Orlando. Old Towne on Saturday has antique cars, that is around Orlando also. Hammock State Park is just up the road. The murals at Lake Placid were very interesting. If you like antiques, there are at least 3 stores in Sebring and the nearby town of Arcadia is all antique stores in old buildings. I am so glad that someone told us about the McCrackens produce stand down 17. They have homemade ice cream there and the best grapefruits. We are sad to be going back home, we will miss all our new friends in Sebring.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We loved every minute of our stay at this house. It has all the luxuries of home, and is so clean & cozy. The owners have taken extra efforts to stock the kitchen with all utensils (more than I have at home), and the bedrooms are cutely decorated, and towels/linens are perfect. Lawn chairs/ beach toys, paddle boat were also great. So much to offer! The next-door neighbor is a lawyer, and he and his wife are so friendly - and our kids LOVE their dog. Quiet neighborhood, and Sebring is a pretty town with lots to o, and CLOSE.. Driving distance about 1hr 45 min from Ft Myers Beach or over to Tampa if you want something different to do. The white sand on lake beach is beautiful, and the lake is very clean. Watching the sunset across the lake from our sunporch was awesome. It's pretty private for a beach..we also visited the museum in Hammock State Park, and the tram through was neat (NOTE: get your tickets for tram EARLY-by 8am- that morning). We walked to downtown Sebring, stopped at Chamber of Commerce for maps/info/attractions. Restaurants & shopping close. We have two teenage girls, and they loved it. This whole vacation ~ THUMBS UP!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We rented this house for the month of February 2012. We very much enjoyed staying there. The house is equipped with ample towels, linens, dishes, pots, pans and bake ware. There is a great view of the lake from the family room. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are very friendly. The property is within walking distance of a grocery store, restaurants and a number of other stores. There is a sidewalk about two blocks from the house that goes around the 10 mile lake to walk and bike ride. We enjoyed sitting ont he beach watching the beautiful sunsets. We recommend staying at this lake house. We would definitely return.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I were so surprised at how relaxing this home was. We had no idea the beach would have the great white sand and also that the owners furnish a boat with paddles and also a pedal boat (seats 4). They also furnished 3 life jackets and 2 grills (1 gas and 1 charcoal). We played in the lake feeling very private and uninterrupted by touristl It was refreshing. The owners have a good supply of linens and kitchen dinnerware / cookware. We definitely recommend this home. The neighbor was a lawyer and very friendly as well. Owner response: Thank you Rick and Joyce for the nice review. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay at our lake house.
