Providing your home away from home, a friendly staff, and the convenience of shopping and restaurants just a short walk away, Kapaa Sands has been the destination of many return guests. Kauai is truly a paradise and our cottage style accomodations in Kapaa Sands #24 will provide your home base to explore the unique and treasured Garden Island.
Kapaa Sands is located along the Coconut Coast on a small cove adjacent to Wailua Beach. When the tide is low the reef provides a child’s swimming pool while safe access to the deeper waters is a short walk along the sand. During the late afternoon turtles are often spotted in the waters close to shore. The lush, tropical gardens throughout the property provide privacy, and the fenced pool area contains a barbeque grill and picnic tables.
Conveniently located for sightseeing the entire island, you will be able to spend a relaxing day exploring the South Shore and Waimea Canyon, the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific”. Spend another day driving the North Shore, with it’s historic one-lane bridges, taro fields, majestic emerald green mountains and white sandy beaches. The North Shore ends at Ke’e Beach and the head of the Kalalau Trail on the Na Pali Coast. The Wailua River supports boat tours and kayak trips to the Fern Grotto. Late afternoon you may see the outrigger canoes with teams practicing for the summer regatta season.
Kapaa Sands #24 is a two-bedroom townhouse with an ocean view from both lanais and is furnished with all the comforts of home. WIFI is free to our guests and the kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher. A television, DVD player and CD player are also provided. The bedrooms and bath are upstairs, and the lanai off the larger bedroom has an outside stairway to the sidewalk. The unit has a queen size bed, a double bed, and a pull-out bed in the living-room sofa.
Kapaa Sands Resort has 22 rental units, each individually owned. We hope unit #24 will be your choice for a tropical island adventure. Rates are negotiable, and we look forward to hearing from you.

Why the Owner Chose Kapaa
Our first visit to Kapaa Sands was in 1985, and we loved the small quiet property. The two bedroom unit fit our young family, giving us all the comforts of home while living just a few steps from the ocean. Our boys are now grown but Kapaa Sands is very special to all of us, a reminder of family vacations on the beach. Kapaa Sands has retained it's early Hawaii ambience like no other resort.
