Never made it past the beach

We called Adam and he was very helpful. The reservation process was simple. They have their rental agreement on their web site. The conditions seemed pretty clear. The check out time was a bit early 10:00am but we were able to get a late check out since the new guest were not arriving that same day - nice. As for the payments it was pretty easy. They accept credit cards (no American Express). We decided however to use Paypal since there are no fees and interest charges for us. The reservation was confirmed via e-mail. We were a bit concerned about the check-in since I know some places send the keys by mail. Adam told us he would meet us at the property. We called when we landed and it was pretty easy to find a taxi. There is a taxi stand right outside the luggage gate. The taxi was not too sure of the location (strange? ) but we called Adam and he explained it to him. The drive was real fast about 3 miles or 7 minutes. It cost us $1 dollar per extra bag that we were not told about - the total for us 6 was $18.00. The check-in at the villa was great. Although we were tired, Adam's orientation really helped ( our favorite restaurant is Kasalta - best coffee and check out their pastry called "quesito". As for the property, everything was pretty straight forward and if you forget something they have a handy apartment guide which is very practical. The villa comes with some cleaning products..you will have to go shoping if you stay for more than a couple of days. There are lots of markets and stores within walking distance. We liked the 24/7 Supermax for their large selection and convenient hours. The beach is very close. The sand is nice and the water was very warm (maybe too warm!). The villa does not have beach chairs but they do rent some down the beach. Also, the guest house to the right - Pamela's has an amazing beach restaurant. it is a bit pricy ( about $35 per person) but the food is amazing and there are not too many places you can eat gourmet food without shoes. We really did not do much except hang out on the beach and did not leave the Ocean Park area...so can't say anything about the rest of island. Two thumbs up for AQUA4U!!!

I am a mother of three and every year my 3 sisters and I travel together to Puerto Rico (they also have two, three and four kids). When we get together its a virtual hurricane. Our kids are all ages ranging from 3-17 years. It is not easy to find a place that can meet all of our different needs. The hacienda at AQUA was perfect. The little ones were able to play inside the compound, the children on the beach, and the teens..well they were gone the whole time but told us the locals were real cool. We normally stay at our parents house in Carolina but this we wanted to be closer to the beach and city (we did not want our teens to drive to nightclubs). The 4 apartments are very large and it really helps that each one has a seperate entrance and kitchen. Everybody can be together yet still maintain some sense of tranquility. My parents even deecided to join us and stay in the small studio on the ground floor. They had,I think, the best time out of all of us!! If you are a large family this place will work for great you. Our only complaint is that it gets really crowded on the weekends, fun for people watching, but just just make sure that if you have lots of cars that you get in before the beach rush. Gracias Adam for all your help! The Brady Bunch four and This was our first experience with renting a villa. We live in the east coast and have been fighting the cold weather for almost come every year and stay with my parents in Carolina..but this wanted to be closer to the city and the beach.

LOL Well maybe my language skills are not that good..but we had a hell-a-time in San Juan. You don't really need to know any Spanish. The people are real friendly and Adam was great (I think he was originally from California). The Ocean Park beach is amazing...just make sure you put on lots of sun cream..its hot! The rooms have a/c and are real close to the water...we didn't even need a cooler...just left our cold drinks in the fridg. and walked across the sand when we needed a refill!! There are lots of things to do withinin walking distance so dont rent a car unless you plan on traveling off island. The drivers are a bit loco. The taxis are cheap, fast and always available to give you day rates for rainforest tours..just make sure you tell them how many people will be in your group so they don't charge you more. We really liked the fact that AQUA4U was so central..We did the Bacardi rum factory in the morning and the rain forest in the same afternoon...next time I think we'll leave the Rum for the afteroon. Liked it all a lot.

Great value for the dollar, best kept secret in San Juan

My family and I have been renting with VRBO for many years. We have rented villas in many cities and since we are a large group (19+), it is very important that all the details be cleared up before booking. I know this can be a little troubling for the owners, but Adam was reall fantastic. He was extremely patient. Before booking we asked about safety, comfort, and location amenities. He was always available (before and even during our stay via text and phone). This was an added benefit..like having your own virtual guide. Our family was very comfortable in the villa. It was not fancy but extremely practical. The hacienda or large house had lots of TVs, 4 kitchens, and wireless internet..this was great for the kids. In terms of value, we got much more than we paid for. Great beach also. Comparing all our other trips..this was one of our best vacation ever.

Girls Bachelorette Getaway

Every year we since college, a group of us gals get together to celebrate. This year in particular was quitespecial since my best friend was getting married. We chose AQUA4U because of its close to location to the beach, bars, andrestaurants. . We were a little aprehensive about staying in a villa rather than a hotel. We wanted all the comforts of hotel but also the freedom that you can get in a home. The villa was clean and wonderful. My overall experience was very good...too bad that it had to end so fast. To all my fellow travels (with LARGE GROUPS), We had a wonderful time at AQUA4U. Everything was exactly as Adam described. It was hard to organize our group of 15 people at first...everbody looking for something...everbody had certain questions and doubts: Was the listing description accurate regarding the location? Yes. The villa is located RIGHT in the middle of San Juan. Close to everything and I think even closer to the beach than advertised. Did the listing photos accurately reflect the rental’s appearance and amenities? Yes. It was perfect for us...maybe we could have used some more beach toys for the kids. Was the property clean and well-maintained? Yes. Was the owner helpful in answering your questions or concerns? Adam you were great. A real help with things to do and great restaurant tips. Thanks. Would you recommend this property to a friend or relative? YES, we have already come back 2x. All in all, AQUA4U is a 10!!! thanks :)

Ocean Park - Jan '10

This was a fantastic place to stay for our Columbia Diving team. It's only 15 minutes from the San Juan Natatorium, 20 steps to a fine public beach, and walking distance to popular Ocean Park hot spots. The villas were clean, quiet, well maintained and our interaction with the owner was completely easy and positive. I have recommended these villas to others and I plan to stay there again!
