This lovely home is located on a quiet residential street, just a few blocks from shopping, restaurants and only a five minute drive to Englewood Beach on Manasota Key or to nearby golf courses. The home and large caged heated pool overlook a wide canal with boat access (two bridges) to Lemon Bay. The spacious open plan living room, with cathedral ceilings, adjoins the modern kitchen with a breakfast bar big enough for the whole family. This and the dining area lead to a large, screened patio and the kidney-shaped heated pool, overlooking the dock and the canal. There are three bedrooms. The master suite has a king-size bed, walk-in closet and private bathroom. The two other bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with twins beds, share a bathroom, with tub/shower. There is a third bathroom with shower adjoining the kitchen and the patio pool. All rooms are air-conditioned and also have ceiling fans. There is a two-car garage and laundry area with washer and dryer.
The pool area is fully screened. There is a large, shady patio for outside dining and a good area for sunning too. The pool has a heating system and an automatic cleaner. The landscaping is immaculate and there is a large dock for fishing or boating. In season you can pick your own oranges from the trees on the property. This is a lovely vacation home that is ideal for a quiet vacation or for an active family vacation with children. Pets subject to approval.
Englewood: Located 10 miles south of Venice, 45 minute drive south from Sarasota Airport, 75 to 90 minutes from Ft Myers and St Pete's Airport. A small, seaside town that is just starting to be discovered. No high-rises, lovely beaches that stretch for miles, great fishing in Lemon Bay, quaint shops and galleries. Golf and tennis close by and a wide choice of restaurants. You will find a guide-book in the house with our recommendations. We fell in love with Englewood on our first visit. You will too.

To Lori& Steve We are not leaving- you will have to evict us! Squatter's rights!!! You have made a big mistake. You have made it too perfect. You shouldn'tdo that!! Every time we looked for something it was right there. The Atmosphere was outstanding. We actually got squeals from our kids, Stephanie(23), Sarah(30), and her husvband Bob(33 his birthday week). Lori and Steve, Thank you for letting us use your beautiful home.k We have visited Englewood many times as Cathy's mom lives permanently here, but have not had such a wonderful rental until now. We brought parents,Guyla and Loren with us to show them this area. We just so happen to come at the best time. Southwest Colorado recieved 3 feet of snow with drifts of 15' while we were here.As we prepare to leave, we are still not sure if we will arrive to a mess or not. However while se were here, we found Selby Gardens, Mote Marine, and Manasota Key Beach to be wonderful! Again, thank you for having such a warm and inviting home. We watched a semi-tame storm and saw the power and beauty of nature. Wow! Then we rented movies& chilled in the evenings & slept late! Too bad its off to work tomorrow. We will dream of returning!!

Lori& Steve, Thank you so much for one of the best weeks I've had in years! We had perfect(HOT) weather all week. Spent alot of time walking and snorkeling in the Gulf(best to so in the morning before it gets to hot!!) collected hundreds of more shells than we'll take home and then cooling off in the pool. We enjoyed reading,playing cards,barbequeing and eting Key Lime Pie from Publix. This area is so beautiful! We drove to Boca Grande to see the old lighthouse and so so much destruction from Hurricane Charley. It was so sad to see. I'm rerlieved that Englewood and your home did'nt suffer any damage. Thank you again for your hospitality. Everything was perfect! It was like staying at the "Four Seasons", or in the case of southern Florida "The One Season"(but the best one!) Dear Lori & Steve, Thank you so much! We had a wonderful time! So relaxing. The house could not have been more comfortable. Everything we needed was readily available. We all enjoyed the pool-especially the kids. They spent hours&hours iniventing games and generally getting along beautifully- maybe there is something in the chemicals.. We swam alot,read alot,drank alot of martinis and played alot of cards.We even had a close encounter with a manatee down at the beach. We collected hundreds of shels and enjoyed some beautiful sunsets. I am already looking forward to a future trip-maybe with the girls this time. Englewood is such a laid back town.
