    Made a smart move on our return visit to SB and rented this adorable, perfectly located abode. It's location atop a cliff in a quiet residential area, boasts mountain and ocean views. Sunsets are incredible, so much so that we skipped dining out and shopped for dinner ingredients at the fantastic Lazy Acres market just down the street a mile and relaxed on the balcony with the best dining views around! Beach access, Starbucks and Elings park with terrific trails and amazing views, all within walking distance makes this VRBO special. Property adjoins owners residence but you would never know it. Was definitely the relaxing vacation we hoped it would be! Thank you Katie !

    The property was better than the pictures posted. Much larger accommodations than expected. Very clean and well-maintained. Owners were very accommodating. Highly recommend this property. We will stay here again if we come to Santa Barbara again.

    Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! As you drive up into the neighborhood about halfway between the ocean and the house you can see the home sitting on the edge of the cliff, looks like something out of Architectural Digest. As you wind your way up and around, the house sits at the end of a cul de sac in a nice area. It is very private. We both love modern and clean spaces and my wife commented "meticulous" when we walked in. The owners were very kind. The rental is attached to their home, but we rarely heard or saw them. That was nice because we were looking for privacy. The house was stocked with some incidentals like condiments and water which was really helpful. We always hate to buy that stuff only to use a small portion and throw it away. We agree with the comments about the beautiful view, the deck, etc. The neighborhood street below was a bit noisy at times but never at night. The ocean and downtown Santa Barbara are both only approx 5 minutes away.

    My wife and I decided to rent a vacation rental instead of a hotel for our daughters graduation and we are so happy we did. This unit was spectacular. We were greeted by an unbelievable ocean view at sunset and could even smell the ocean air! With all of the activity that went on during this momentous weekend, it was so great to come back to a very quiet and peaceful place. We took walks on the beach each morning and it only took 10 minutes to walk there. And for dinner the first night we walked to a great Mexican restaurant on the Mesa. If you're looking for the quintessential Santa Barbara beach rental, this is it. I doubt there is an ocean view better than this place!

    Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

    My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful rental and would highly recommend it to other couples. As soon as we walked in the views of the ocean blew us away. It was so peaceful, private, and quiet and the proximity to the beach (only a 2 minutes drive!) was an added perk! The unit is so clean, very well decorated, and extremely relaxing. If you're looking for a summer getaway with quick access to the beach and shopping in beautiful Santa Barbara, this is the place to stay! We're definitely going to stay here again!

    This property worked very well for our weekend in Santa Barbara. Great location, immaculately maintained, friendly owners. I enjoyed the jacuzzi tub with soft water. The living area accommodated our party nicely.

    This suite is nicely appointed with 2 queen beds and 2 full baths. The home is tastefully decorated - nicely done, without being pretentious. The owners obviously take pride in their home. Furthermore, they were easy to work with and maintain the home impeccably. The suite is attached to the owner’s home, but has a private entrance and affords complete privacy. The listing description, amenities and photos are accurate. The bedroom nearest the front door is a great sleeping room - quiet and dark, with a bathroom across the hall. The master bedroom accesses the deck and has an adjoining bathroom with a jet tub. It was great to have the washer and drier, which worked well. The city is zoned for quiet after 10:00, which is great for those wanting a peaceful retreat. The streets below the suite can be noisy during rush hour, but inside, the house remains quiet. The deck is great – a nice L-shaped deck to relax and enjoy the ocean and mountain views. The suite was so great that we didn’t leave the first day, except to go get food. Actually, we stayed in and cooked most meals, because it was such a joy to be in the suite and on the deck. The grill worked well, as did the appliances and there were plenty of pots, pans and dishes – even some basic provisions, such as butter, spices, coffee and filtered water. Do not hesitate to rent this suite.

    I was very pleased with the accommodations, and the owners were very helpful. I highly recommend this rental. During my stay I fell in the shower, due to a faulty plastic mat, and the owners have been extremely responsible in helping with medical care. Of course, they removed the mat, in order to prevent future problems. It was an unfortunate accident, and I only bring this up to indicate the level of concern that they have shown. The house is gorgeous, clean and roomy, and other than my fall we had a wonderful visit.

    Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
