  This was our first trip to Ocean Isle as we have always stayed at the Outer Banks in the past. We fell in love with Ocean Isle from the moment we saw it. A quaint, non-comercial town by the ocean. It seems "newer" and somewhat better maintained than the Outer Banks. Although we ate in almost all of the week, there were plenty of dining opportunities as Ocean Isle is directly between Myrtle Beach and Wilmington, NC, as well as local Ocean Isle dining. Cheeseheads in Paradise is perfectly located at the end of Ocean Isle. Many days we felt we had the beach to ourselves. Our kids enjoyed having a lot of room to run, build sand castles and kick the soccer ball around. I cannot say enough about the privacy of the location of the house. Even though the property is not "oceanfront", there are clear views of the ocean, and the sounds of the ocean can be heard on the front porch and in the house when the windows are open. We especially enjoyed cooking meals and eating on the front porch with the ocean as our backdrop. The rocking chairs on the front porch are perfectly placed and a great spot to enjoy the evenings watching the ocean with loved ones. The home was nicely kept, with an awesome tv and blue ray player. Kitchen was well equipped (yea for the waffle maker), and spacious for everyone. The pool outside was the icing on the cake that sets this home apart, as most other homes in the area don't have a pool. Restroom by the pool is just genius, especially when traveling with children. I can't say enough wonderful things about this property. Our kids had what they told us "one of the best weeks of their lives", and as far as we're concerned, that's what it's all about.

  When my husband returned from a year long military deployment to Afghanistan, I wanted our family vacation to be as relaxing as possible. Cheeseheads in Paradise was everything I hoped it would be and more! We vacationed with two other families, and found this home to be the perfect set up for beach time fun. The house is casually decorated, clean, cute, and very comfortable. The pool was beautiful at night, and the large front porch was perfect for morning coffee. The kids (ages 5-17) all had a blast, and loved the outdoor shower. We didn't make any specific plans when going to Ocean Isle, other than relaxing. When we first arrived, I realized what a perfect place it was. The entire island is family oriented with houses on stilts, a few small beach stores, putt putt golf, and a couple of ice cream shops (no tall hotels or huge condo complexes). The beaches are not crowded with a bunch of college kids in thong bikinis. Just families having a great time. We grilled out, built sand castles, collected shells, went crab hunting at night with flashlights, went charter fishing, parasailing, and had the best time! The owners/property management were great at addressing any issues we had. Thanks for the wonderful memories!

  Cheeseheads in Paradise, is truly a fantastic vacation home! This was our first trip to Ocean Isle and within hours we were already planning for next year. The house is VERY well maintained, plenty of space for our group, very well equipped and clean! Most loved was the unobstructed view of the ocean (directly across the street), we spent every morning and evening on the chairs relaxing and enjoying the view. The home is located on the far end of the island, we loved the lack of car traffic in this neighborhood! The pool was a fantastic addition, very warm, clean and refreshing after a morning at the beach. The owners are great to work with, very accessible and knowledgable about the area. Thank you for a great family vacation, we will be back to Cheeseheads in Paradise!!!

  My family definitely enjoyed Cheeseheads In Paradise. We went down in June 2010 and had a great time. Great view of the beach and house is very clean with absolutely no wasted space. It is in a quiet area and the beach is just across the street with unobstructed view. Definitely want to go back next year.

  The pool was wonderful! It's much nicer than some of the other homes we've rented. Quick walk to the beach and beautiful views. Thanks so much for the memories!
