Perfect beach house! It is right next to the beach access and has a view of the ocean. The house was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our time at the beach. Can't wait to go back next year.

This was our first visit to Fripp and our challenge was to find a home in the off-season that was suitable for our 4 generations of family members (9 in all, with 3 under age 5!). PROS: This home is an open plan with all public activities in a great room, plus of course, the separate 4 bedrooms & 2 Jack 'n' Jill baths. All rooms are on a single level, so it was easy to keep track of the young children. We all get along, so the togetherness was a good thing for one week. This home would also be good for 2 - 3 couples who get along well. There were plenty of beach toys and towels, a very nice touch. The kitchen was well-equipped. This older, but very well-maintained home is on the second row and you can see some of the ocean, but just as nice is that it is only one house away from the best access point to the best portion of the beach, which made it wonderful for going to the beach during the day and then taking a moonlight walk on the beach in the evening. House is also within walking distance of the Beach Club, which has the snack bar and Olympic pool for laps (among several other amenities). CONS: This is an open plan with all activities in a great room on one level. Enough said. OTHER: No golf cart was supplied, so we separately rented two, which worked well, especially when transporting great-grandpa to the beach (Fripp offers disability stickers allowing golf cart access to and from the beach). Golf carts are by far the best way to experience Fripp. The owners are friendly and very easy to work with, and all members of our extended family said that they had a great time.

This was our first time to Fripp Island and we loved it!! Perfect place to vacation with family and small children. The house was a perfect choice and location for us. Just as the listing stated the location is the best on the island. Although this is not a beachfront the view is great and you can still hear the waves and feel the breeze. The house is plentiful stocked in kitchen. The towels and linens are of great quality!!! Home feels airy and bright. Owner was extremely easy to work with and I would recommend the island and this home. Hopefully we will be able to return soon and will be staying in this home!! You will love it!!

I went to Fripp for the first time last summer and loved it! The island is very small and homey. This house is a perfect place to stay, both in terms of location and the feel of the house. The house is one street over from the Beach Club, where there is a food court and a fancier restaurant and pools and a bar, and across the street from the beachfront houses. There are also beach accesses, which means that there are no houses in the way of a terrific view!! This house is the perfect size for a beach house, with plenty of rooms and a wonderful sunroom with fans to keep you cool in the hot weather. This house made my Fripp experience as great as it was, and I can't wait to go back this summer!
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

We just returned from our second year at Fripp and second rental of this home. Fripp Island is paradise, the beach like it was meant to be enjoyed. You can enjoy the beach, the pool or driving around in a golf cart watching the wildlife. A day trip into Beaufort is a must. We have rented this home two years in a row and plan to again next year. The house is flooded with bright sunlight and perfectly located to enjoy all the amenities. Extremely well stocked and laid out very well for 2 families with children or four couples. We walk to the beach in 2 minutes! You will not be disappointed and the owners have been very responsive and welcoming. Make sure to take your amenities card every where with you and pick up fresh seafood to grill out at Gay's Seafood just before the island. Thank you for sharing your home and Fripp with us!
