I have family in the area and I always choose “Mountain Splendor” as the place to stay when I come to visit about 4 times a year. It’s convenient to Murphy, NC; Blue Ridge; Young Harris and Hiawassee and not that far from Helen, Ga. As a vacation rental you can’t beat it – it’s large, spotless, quiet and peaceful. I love sitting on the porch in the mornings, having my coffee and gazing at the tremendous view. Sunrises are always different and usually spectacular. I have a high stress job and after staying here I feel so relaxed and rested that I hate leaving to go home … but I’ll be back! It’s great value for the money.

Beautiful, relaxing and comfortable cabin!

We had a most enjoyable stay here during the recent Christmas holidays and Norm and Trish really treated us well! They had a tree all decorated for us and a gift basket as well. The cabin is beautifully appointed with very comfy beds, a remote control gas fireplace (which really came in handy for those cold winter nights!), big TV, wireless internet access, a full kitchen and laundry. It was everything we needed and then some! And a spectacular view of the mountains to boot! I especially enjoyed watching the bright red cardinals come to feed at the bird feeder every morning. Trish and Norm were attentive, yet very mindful of our privacy too. Would love to stay there again during the summer and try out the hot tub. Thanks again Trish and Norm!

Spring Break

We spent 4 days during spring break and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were outstanding, immaculate and comfortable. We cooked dinner in on two nights using the gas grill once - everything needed besides the food of course was provided. We visited surrounding communities so the location on Nottely Lake is very convenient. Also did plenty of cycling and while I've ridden plenty around Dahlonega I was real impressed with the roads in/around Blairsville - great routes leaving directly from the house.

Well needed R&R Vacation!!

We were definitely in need of some quiet R&R! This is the first time we have rented a cabin, to vacation this way. We can't tell you how much we enjoyed our stay here. The accommodations were absolutely wonderful. Everything was so well thought out and very comfortable, very inviting and first class. We wanted to spend a vacation in peace and quiet and that is exactly what we had. The only thing that surpassed the luxurious accommodations was the unbelievable view from the porch. Each morning I would deliberately get up early enough to watch the sunrise and it was awesome each morning I saw it. We are extremely blessed to live on the west coast of Florida, a place where a lot of people like to vacation. Yet we really envy what you have there. We really fell in love with the area and the people of Blairsville and look forward to returning. Some may question the fact that this rental is in the basement of a home. Trust me when I tell you it was not only a non- factor but you really don't realize that at all. This so called basement is larger and just as comfortable as my home. Definitely not an issue with us. There is so much more we could share but space, time and words won't allow me to do it justice. If you are looking for a great mountain get away with unbelievable views I can't think of a better place to go than "Mountain Splendor" Thank you again for making this the vacation we needed!

Anniversary Vacation

Wow! The details in this property were wonderful! My husband and I typically vacation in the mountains and rent cabins and this one rates in the top two that we've stayed in (the best was our honeymoon cabin that our budget was significantly higher for.) The kitchen was well stocked with gadgets and additional spices (and splenda that I had forgotten for my morning coffee). The view was absolutely amazing! Watching the sun rise each morning with a cup of coffee was wonderful! Star gazing from the hot tub was probably my favorite part. We were lucky to have clear nights and to see a shooting star. Absolutely incredible! I can't say enough about how accommodating Trish and Norm were while we were there. Thanks again!

Wonderful Vacation

What a wonderful time we had staying at your home. We have never stayed in Blairsville all the years we have been vacationing in the mountains. We found Blairsville to be a perfect location for visiting the other surrounding communites. The view at "Mountin Splendor" is so beautiful and we loved seeing how it changed during different times of the day and night. The house was beautifully decorated with all that anyone could want or need...and it was so "Clean" which is a big thing staying in a rental. Trish, Norm and sweet Barnee, thank you so much for having us...we will see one another again.

Girls Week-end

We had a great girls week-end. The house was beautiful and was fully stocked with everything we needed. The view from the back deck was breathtaking. Trish was very helpful making sure we had everything we needed for the week-end and recommending places to visit and eat. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Weekend

This was one of the nicest rentals we've seen. The view was spectacular. Especially in the morning when the fog is just lifting off the lake. The owner had it very generously stocked! All kinds of goodies that one might forget to bring. A big thanks for that. We had a wonderful stay.
