Are you ready for a romantic get-away? Whatever the Season of the year, your visit to this 1800 sq. foot, 2 Bedroom/1 Bath, non-smoking, vacation home will always be remembered - for the amazing views, for the peace and quiet of God's awesome splendor, and for all the fun things to do if you can just tear yourself away from the deck! Whether you're snuggling up in front of the see-thru fireplace, watching your favorite sports programs on our HD 42" flat screen TV, or just relaxing out on the deck, enjoying your morning cup of coffee and being awestruck at the amazing sunrises, we hope this will become your favorite vacation spot or a weekend get-away.
"Mountain Splendor" has been decorated and furnished with your comfort in mind. Enjoy the hand crafted accent tables, and other pieces that the owner made, along with very comfortable couches and chairs in the living areas. Seat your family at the large dining table, or the breakfast bar. Help yourselves to our fully stocked reading library, DVD movies and board games. There will be a special treat for our honeymooners, or couples celebrating their wedding anniversaries (just let us know upon making your reservation).
While we only sleep four on beds, there is ample room to put blow-up mattresses on the floor. We have several single air mattresses, and a queen mattress, with linens to fit all. We do not supply sleeping bags. However please feel free to bring them if you need to accommodate another child or two.
Our Terrace Level is very private, and quiet, with a separate outside entrance and parking for one car. Another parking space could be provided with notification.

Year Purchased: 2006
When we married 10 years ago, the one thing we knew we were going to do was purchase our retirement home in the gorgeous North Georgia Mountains. We love to have fun, and we're excited to share our terrace level with friends we have yet to meet so that they can enjoy for a short while, what we have the privilege of enjoying every day! I've done a lot of travelling and have lived in Australia for 20 years before moving back to the USA about 20 years ago. My husband, Norm, and I have travelled quite a few places in the U.S. and have yet to find anywhere else we'd rather live!
Why the Owner Chose Blairsville
We actually built this home with the vision in mind that our terrace level could become a wonderful, separate, temporary home for our family, and visiting missionaries. This year we decided to investigate the idea of a VRBO because we have used their services ourselves and have rented great places for our vacations. We had so much fun in those places that we thought we should enjoy becoming VRBO owners! This area is so beautiful and our view is so magnificent that we can't wait to share it with new friends.
The Unique Benefits of this Terrace Level House
Our location in the North Georgia Mountains is so unique - most Georgians don't even know they have mountains in their State! We're within 2 hours of Atlanta, and its gorgeous new Aquarium, Brave's Stadium, home of the Atlanta Braves; also 2 hours to Chattanooga and it's famous Incline Railway. But, if you love nature, hiking, boating, fishing, jet skiing, tubing, kayaking or just lazing around while enjoying a good book, you're going to love this area. We're 20 minutes from North Carolina, and about the same to Tennessee. Dollywood and Gatlinburg are not far away. You'll have a great time getting to know your family again while you enjoy all that this area has to offer.
