This historic home was completely renovated in 2007 from the ground up and now offers the latest and most exquisite fixtures and furnishings. It is truly a one-of-a-kind ski lodge in the heart of downtown only steps from the BreckConnect Gondola. And I assure you that you won’t be able to find a better location or a more exclusive property. The Gondola House prides itself on being a paradox of understated elegance and sophisticated indulgence. This home speaks to those who believe beauty is in the details.
It sits on the North end of Main Street and is the closest single family home to the Gondola providing convenient access to the Resort. It is also only a half block from Main Street putting all the delicious restaurants and boutique shops at your fingertips. And if that weren’t enough, the Blue River runs adjacent to the property so you can sit on your private deck or in the hot tub and listen to the sounds of the rushing river. It simply doesn’t get any better than this for small or large families!
The entrance to this home opens to a beautiful iron staircase inlaid with a leaf design leading you to the refined upstairs sitting room. It is outfitted with an elegantly chiseled stone and glass tile fireplace next to French doors that open to the private deck providing unobstructed 180 degree views of Peaks 7, 8, 9 and 10. On the opposite side of the sitting room is the gourmet kitchen. It is decorated with a built-in bar and top-of-the-line appliances perfectly complimented by knotty Alder wood cabinets and “leathered” granite counter tops making you feel like a professional chef. Lastly, the iron and wood dining table serves as the ideal place to enjoy a home cooked meal or let someone else do the cooking and indulge in the perks of a catered meal.
Downstairs, on the main level, are three of the plush bedrooms. First, there is the King Master with a canopy bed and a glass tiled fireplace creating a cozy atmosphere while you take in the spectacular views and calming sounds of the Blue River. Next is the Queen Master which provides private access to the flagstone patio, stone fire-pit and the outdoor hot tub. Then there is the Bunk Room which is furnished with a twin-over-full bunk and has access to the adjacent custom designed full bathroom with a copper sink and luxurious tiling.
Venture down the third flight of stairs where another living area opens to a second bar finished with knotty Alder cabinets, solid granite counter tops and soft leather stools. Beyond the bar is the large living room with a stone fireplace and two oversized couches and overstuffed armchairs, creating the ideal place to lounge. In addition, flat screen TV can be viewed from every part of this open and spacious room. From the living room you can access the flagstone patio and the outdoor hot tub where you can enjoy the unparalleled views of Breckenridge Ski Resort while listening to the sounds of the Blue River.
There are also two more bedrooms on this floor, including the Mini Master which has a four poster Queen bed and an intricately detailed ¾ bath while the fifth bedroom provides magnificent views of the clear blue sky and the tall mountain peaks. This bedroom also has an en-suite 3/4 bathroom with a Euro-Glass shower. Lastly, each of our homes is only supplied with Eco-friendly tissues, soaps, detergent, and shampoo that have not been tested on animals. We strive to provide you with the best of everything to ensure you will come to love Breckenridge as much as we do.

This home welcomes up to nine adults or twelve with families.
4WD is not required for this home but we do recommend it for the winter months.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
can’t tell you how many “locals” say they came here to experience just one season of fun on the slopes before returning to the “real world”. Five, 10, 20 years later they’re still here! Some tried to leave and ended up coming back thinking that retirement was just too far off! Breckenridge is an adult's playground. With or without children, there are numerous activities and events to keep all ages happy.

We are Pete and Imane and we own a small vacation lodging business called Book Breck Lodging. We manage several homes here in Breckenridge for second homeowners. The advantage of a small management company over renting directly from a homeowner or from a large resort is that we are on location and accessible.
The best part of the job for us is that we get to meet people who also love Breckenridge or who are about to experience it for the first time. We each fell in love with this town because of the variety of things that it offers. It's a small town with a big personality. It offers the charm, quaintness and history typical of a small town, but combines the liveliness and variety of different fun and adventurous activities, high end restaurants and shopping, and year round community activities. It’s the perfect balance of two worlds that has created a laid back and fun place to be. We have yet to meet someone who hasn’t fallen under the Breckenridge spell!
Sometimes we just talk to our guests on the phone. Sometime we’ll have a glass of wine with them and really get to know them. It depends on the guest and if they prefer privacy in their vacation home away from home, or if the have time to sit down with some locals. Either way, we want our guests to think of us as their friends in Breckenridge who they can come visit again and again.

Wow! What a fabulous house! We have skied in a lot of different cities throughout Colorado, including Breckenridge, and we loved the location here. We had high school and college age kids with us and the set-up was perfect... Close to the slopes, and close to town for shopping and restaurants. Several nights we "cooked in" and the kitchen fully equipped. The house is beautiful and we would love to come and stay again!

We all had a wonderful time at the Gondola House. We loved how close we were to everything... hardly had to drive. The house was the perfect size for the grandparents,parents, Auntie, and baby. :) THe views, listening to the river and the piped sound were all favorite parts of our stay. The house is set out nicely so we could all be together but enjoy our privacy when needed. Only thing we would have changed is having fans in the rooms for summer time. Otherwise everything was perfect. Thank you!

Our group of 9 people had a great time celebrating my 40th birthday in this gorgeous home. It has been renovated (or more precisely - rebuilt) to the highest of standards, and we found nothing lacking in the home. I'd definitely rent the property again, and if I had an extra $3mm, I'd buy it.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
