This unit is on the second floor of the newer section of Island Retreat. You have a view of the water, and can hear the waves. There is mostly dunes to look at, but it's still nice. We saw coyotes and jackrabbits. The inside is nice enough. The carpet looks a bit worn, but is ok. The kitchen was just remodeled they said and is nice but nothing fancy. It was a comfortable place, and great for the money. When you shop around, this condo was a good price for what you get. The walk over the dunes on the boardwalk is kinda long and they did warn about it being 600 yards. It may not have been that far, but it is pretty far. The pool is close and very nice. There is a clean laundry house very near as well, even if you have to carry your things over to it. The neighbors are nice. They live there year round and have resigned themselves to this condo being rented, but don't expect to party or get loud, they will call management and complain. You do have to drive into town, but it's only about a mile and half. Eleventh Street is busy. The trolley bus comes by every hour, it was fun to take on tour to learn about Port Aransas.
