In the evening, the rolling surf will lull you to sleep. Casa dos Palmas is located in Bucerias, and is accessible via Mexican Highway 200 (a new four-lane highway), ten miles north of the Puerto Vallarta airport. Vibrant downtown Puerto Vallarta is just a 20-minute drive.

Best Trip to Mexico Ever!

My husband and I wanted a private vacation for our 3rd anniversary and we were very pleased with Casa Dos Palmas and all of the amenities of the property. We got lucky and no one else had rented the other units so we had the whole property to ourselves. What a nice change from hotels where we did not have to share the pool, beach, or any outdoor space with loud children, young partiers, or any of those people you meet at the resort who think you should hang out with them every day once you meet them. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool every day but one and had so much fun body surfing (well, sort of body surfing). The home is so clean and charming and really does have everything you need, right down to a variety of pool floats! Once I found the chair float, I would not give it up. We highly recommend this place to couples or families and will recommend to all of our friends and family. We are already talking about when to go back. It was even better then the pictures. We do recommend bringing your Pesos before you get there as we found some ATMs out of order and there will be fees each time you withdraw. Also, we recommend buying everything you need right away at the MEGA supermarket so you won't have to pay a taxi fare to go back. The taxi fares really add up and we would probably get a car next time. You can walk the beach to town when it is cool, but during the summer months some days can be too hot to walk 20 minutes at mid-day. We liked El Chivero for a beach restaurant and the Gringo Tacos at Yo Yo Mo's are a must and very inexpensive. The Mojitos at Eva's Brickhouse were also wonderful. Breakfast at StarBay hotel next door is extremely convenient, but if you go a few more doors down to Vista Vallarta, you will get juice and coffee included with your breakfast for even cheaper than the $5 at StarBay. We really liked the quaintness of Bucerias and found no need to go into Puerto Vallarta. The shopping was great! Leave lots of room in your suitcase for great Mexican serving dishes and art. Thank you so much Gary and Charlene for really taking care of your guests! AJ & Dean

Our trip to the Casa dos Palmos

We are a young family of four and were there two weeks in july 2010. We really had a wonderful time at the Casa dos Palmos. We just loved everything. The house is very well maintained and the location is great for those, like us, seeking privacy, calm and a real mexican experience (as opposed to a tourist trap!). We felt pretty lucky to deal with 'real' owners, not corporations, who care about our well-being. We also have nothing but good words for the staff there who were very helpful. They really cared for us. Baldo, especially, was very accomodating, helping us for planning our activities. Since we don't speak a lot of spanish, his help was much appreciate. Thanks to Charlene, Gary and all the staff at the Casa dos Palmos! Hope to go to your wonderful house again! Martin, Montreal, Qc

Casa Dos Palmas - This is “Casa Dos Paradise”! We spent two weeks at the Casa in April and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Casa is even better than the pictures shown on the website! It is the kind of place where you can “do as much as you want” or “as little as you want”. Imagine spending your day doing what you want to do without having to worry about time or reservations. Imagine falling asleep to the soothing sound of the ocean waves and in the morning stepping out onto the balcony and seeing paradise. Have your coffee or tea poolside while watching the fishermen dive for oysters. Spend your afternoon floating in your private pool and your evening sitting on the sea wall watching the sun set. This Casa has it all. The owners have thought of just about everything you will need to enjoy your vacation, from recreation items to cooking supplies. They have left nothing to chance. The Casa has a very professional guidebook on site that surpasses the information provided at hotels. There is maid service three times a week, and the garden is kept in beautiful shape by a ground maintenance crew that comes on a regular basis. Conceirge services from Baldo were fantastic and we looked forward to his daily contact and chats. He also hooked us up with a great fishing trip where Robert caught his first sailfish. We found nothing lacking during our stay and are definitely planning to return as soon as we can.Robert and Angeline / Edmonton

This was a great vacation, The Casa, beach, pool the town everything was exceptional. Friendly people and service staff at this casa are just the begining. BBQing a steak on the natural grill while enjoying the sunset is just one of my fondest memories. You can tell the owners have gone out of their way to make this casa a true home. Would recomend to anyone. Thanks again

What a beautiful villa! Casa Dos Palmos was everything we expected....plus! Very authentic, quaint, and there wasn't a thing that that we needed, that wasn't there. Baldo.............a true gentleman! He and His sister Litty, cooked us an absolutely fantastic dinner. The Chicken Mole was very good. I have never had authentic Mexican food, so for me this was a big thing! I definitely recommend anyone staying at the villa to have a meal cooked by Baldo, and Litty. Once again Charlene, and Gary.....you own a small piece of what I call "Heaven on Earth." Thank you again for your hospitality!!! Peace.....Diane and Dale Woytiuk

My fiance and I were looking for tranquil relaxation this August and were thrilled to get that and more at Casa dos Palmas. The days were lovely, relaxing under our palapas on an empty beach with just a few neighbors nearby; floating in the quiet bay's soft waves and then jumping into the pool for a refreshing swim. The house was clean and comfortable with beautiful decor. We had everything we needed for the few rainy summer nights that rolled in briefly; satellite tv, dvd player with a great dvd selection, wireless internet and board games for entertainment. The staff that assisted us throughout our stay was friendly and helpful. We are particularly happy with the property manager Baldo who catered to our every whim and made us smile every day. Charlene & Gary were attentive and informative leading up to our visit which made everything move smoothly once we got there. After our wonderful week long stay at Casa dos Palmas, we know we'll be back next year!

The property was well maintained (daily maid service and pool cleaning) and was near shopping and "tourist" attractions. The property owner advised us where to rent a car and the service was excellent. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to get away from it all - however, there is internet and satellite television service if you can't seem to let go. My best experience was Vallarta Adventure Zip Lines tour. Downtown Vallarta and Old Town were also beautiful. For those who want a marguerita when arriving, check to make sure they are not having a national election. We could not buy alcohol for 2 days because of this.

It's been almost three months since our week-long stay at Casa Caballito. My family and I often enjoy talking about our visit to the town of Bucerias. The local residents are warm, friendly, and generous with their hellos. We loved walking down the beach to dine at the excellent restaurants where the staff couldn't do enough to make our visit a pleasant experience. My daughters keep asking when we're going back. I would love to go again. I think about our dream vacation to Casa Caballito often, and when I do, I smile.
