The house has 2 bedrooms, each with queen sized pillow top beds and 2 bathrooms, one with a claw foot bath tub and the other a tiled shower with a glass door. Air Conditioning units in the living room and in each bedroom. Please email for our YouTube video of the house. Please email or call for additional questions. Vacationing in a home (free standing house) is so sweet and very different from a condo experience. Everyone comments on how wonderful it is to be able to park at the house and walk all around Lahaina and home again. Guests love the convenient location that allows walking to everything in Lahaina. Great food, really Really great food within a block of the house and all around this area. Walk to movies and to the Lahaina Harbor and to all types of shops and galleries.
The stretch of Front Street on the ocean side of this property has no structures, offering wide open ocean views, bench seating and stairs to a little tiny beach, great area for sunsets, whale watching boat watching and people watching. At this Lahaina location there is little need for a car except to go to great destinations like Haleakala National Crater and Seven Sacred Pools in Hana. Property is one lot away from Lahainaluna Rd. right by Lahaina Grill Restaurant (formerly David Paul's), next to the Lahaina Marketplace and across Front Street from Cheeseburger in Paradise, near Gerards Plantation Grill, Kimo's, Lahaina Yacht Club, Bubba Gumps, The Lahaina Banyan Tree, the Historic Lahaina Banyan Tree by the Lahaina Harbor and the oceanfront Lahaina Library, galleries and museums and fabulous other fun things to experience. Luakini St. is a one-lane, one-way street with travel heading towards Kaanapali. There is very little traffic. It is easiest to enter Luakini St. from Dickenson St. Close to all types of restaurants, spa services, movies and live broadway type theater at Ulelena. The Lahaina huge one-block sized famous Banyon tree. Walk to the harbor for snorkel trips, boating, fishing, ferry trips to the island of Molokai. The little house could be the subject of any Maui painting. Hang your snorkel and fins or surfboard outside and live the Lahaina lifestyle. Less then 200 feet to the oceans edge. Watch whales and spectacular sunsets over the ocean from Front St.

My husband, daughter, mother and father stayed at this rental for a week. You can't beat the location!! The house is located right on Front Street near shops and the Lahaina harbor. The owner has kept the house very clean and updated. As previous renters have stated, the rental has EVERYTHING you would need. There is a spacious deck out back, full size washer and dryer including items to take to the beach, 2 full size bedrooms and bathrooms. The neighborhood is quiet except for some construction (for a few days) next to the house but we are early risers and it didn't bother us. I would absolutely recommend this rental and would stay here again!! If you have any questions, the owner is very responsive in answering any questions you have regarding the rental or area. She even recommended a company to rent baby items we needed and they are very affordable and saved us time (they pick up and drop of the items) and money. We had a great time.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, tourists without a car.

What a wonderful little cottage nestled in the heart of Lahania. The place was very clean, comfortable and was equipped with everything you would need and more. Walking distance to all the great resturants and nightlife entertainment. It's a home away from home. I only wish I could have stayed longer. Be careful of the back door... I locked myself out twice. You would think I would learn after the first time. It's is one of those door handles that all new development homes have and they seem to be unlocked from the inside, but when you close the door your locked out. I will come back again and again.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: Think of that door handle like a railroad crossing, when the knob is up and down, vertical, open, the lock is unlocked and when the bar goes side to side, horizontal the door is locked. So sorry for any inconvenience and I am available too, if you call me, I can get you in.

The listing and pictures of this cute little house in the middle of town was very accurate. We felt like we were at home while staying in the house. It was nicely decorated and had a lot of character. The back deck was the highlight of the house for us. We spent most of our time out on the deck. And we didn't have to walk far to the grocery store or all the shopping and restaurants. It was great to be able to walk to Scoop's for Kona coffee ice cream every night. We will definitely return!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car.
Owner response: Enjoying the Maui out of doors lifestyle all year long is the one of the best parts of a visit. Thank you for sharing your trip with us.

Simply wonderful: I can think of no other way to elegantly describe my overall opinion of this lovely house in Lahaina. You are steps away from downtown Ola Lahaina and the Ocean Front. The house so well makes best use of available space and your comfort is never an issue. You walk in the door and you are a world away from the life you lead on the mainland. I and my travel companions quite literally stood in the entry to the house and stared lovingly into the living room and open kitchen. When we came to our senses, several minutes later, we made our way through the rest of the bedrooms and their well cared for bathrooms and finally out the back door to a just perfect sized deck for dining and lounging. The owners show all possible pictures of this beautiful house on this site for a reason, there is nothing to hide and so much to be proud of. As with other reviews below there are the occasional early wake up calls with trash collection and leaf blowing but in honesty many of us are up early anyways due to the time difference. Once you get into the time change groove however and sleeping in becomes part of your luxury regimen, this is when you want to give the leaf blower a piece of your mind LOL :) ... No matter because I will be back in this beautiful house just as soon as I can find the next open slot in my schedule and judging by the calendar, you all better hurry up and make your reservations soon.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Exactly as shown on the video. Just around the corner from Front Street. Short walk to shops, coves, beaches...everything you could ask. Comfy beds, sports supplies, laundry, great kitchen, although we bbq-ed on the back deck every day. A neighbor said we were "torturing" him with all the great aromas. A place you can find bananas & mangoes hanging from a tree next to the deck. I have been to Maui many times and think this is a terrific place to stay. I would recommend the bungalow to anyone. 2 BR, 2 BA with queen sofa bed, clean & well maintained. Compact, but easily useable for the 3 of us. Owner was helpful in all steps of rental. Don't miss the Haleakala snow cone at Ululani's around the corner or the Lahaina Jodo Mission down the road.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

My two girlfriends and I came to Maui for three days in March, and had a terrific time at the cottage. We didn't have any trouble with noise in the morning, and enjoyed our coffee together on the lanai in back. It was so peaceful and inviting. The location was perfect for us, as we loved perusing the art galleries, and it's such a walkable little town. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked and a pleasure to use. I would highly recommend this charming little cottage to anyone visiting Lahaina.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

This is the perfect place. The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed, including beach towels, beach chairs & an umbrella, snorkel gear and coolers to take to the beach. There are board games and books too! We could walk to everything in town which was great. The house looked just like the pictues and Leah was great to work with (Thank You Leah!). Things we loved: The show "Ulelena" at the Maui theater 3 blocks away, The Old Lahaina Luau, The Sugar Museum, Kaanapali Zip Line, Mama's Fish House- pricey but great food and a beautiful view. Our favorite restaurants in town were Kimo's and Longhi's. We ate lunch at both places and went to Longhi's twice and went to Kimo's a second time for the Hula Pie. I would definaly stay here again and would recommend it to freinds & family.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We stayed in this charming house for 10 day's. Like others have said, It was very clean, well maintained and really well equipped. All the beach stuff was great, lot's of towels, great tub and shower, hardwood floors, newer appliances, updated kitchen and the beds were Very comfortable. Loved the satin sheets. It had a gingerbread cottage feel to it with lovely molding and great lighting fixtures. The parking out front can't be beat. Being in the middle of Lahaina makes it so easy to walk to restaurants and not worry about driving home if you have a drink.Sitting out on the deck in the morning was lovely . Leah obviously has tried to make this house and yard a little oasis in the middle of town. I must confess that I was a little concerned when I drove down the one way street when I arrived. It felt a bit like an alley with a number of other small structures appearing to be in bad shape. There is a tall apartment building beside the house where the walkway faces towards the main windows of the house. There is a bit of a privacy screen outside of the living room window.Another nice little touch. At night many people leave their doors open and you can hear people visiting or watching t.v but not loud or in a bad way. Like a community . The graffiti on the bathroom wall can still be seen under the paint job. It sort of gave us pause. It also looked like the front door had been jimmied . Having said that, we felt totally safe. We didn't see drunk or homeless people going by , as described by someone else. I would absolutely recommend this house to people who are comfortable with being in the middle of things and don't want a gated community feel AND most importantly, who are early risers. For 7/10 days we had the garbage trucks wake us no later than 6 a.m. The 3 industrial sized dumpsters right beside this lot , are VERY noisy as they get emptied. You can also hear them being opened and closed throughout the day and into the night. One of them is directly beside the bedroom windows. Ear plugs did not help.Than there is the guy who blows leafs with his power leaf blower. He starts equally as early. I only saw reference to the noise in a couple other reviews . Perhaps the house is so nice and has so much going for it that others feel it makes up for this early morning alarm system. If it wasn't for the dumpsters I would have given this house an excellent.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
This plantation style house is in such a great location to vacation in Hawaii.
