Though we didn't get to chat with Chris and Bela enough because we were off riding horses, looking for whales, swimming, snorkeling and viewing the night sky from Mauna Kea, we appreciated the "breakfast fare," replenishing the delicious fruits, coffee and other goodies daily. We loved beginning to ending each day's adventure in such a beautiful, welcoming place. Being greeted by your friendly dogs was an added delight and watching the whitecaps and the dancing palms seen through the picture window was wonderfully relaxing. Everything was perfect. We came to Maui Views filled with the stress and challenges of the past 2 years all welled up within us. We needed a quiet sanctuary to restore our souls, to renew our spirit and to heal our hearts from the terrible thrashing we were feeling from our lives. Having spent many vacations on Maui, taking a vacation on the Big Island brought familiarity by experiencing the peace and quiet of Maui Views. It was very easy to get around from here, especially since our desire to be away from the busy rat race of people, the city and traffic was satisfied here at Maui Views. The accommodations were 5 STAR. We are so grateful for the comfortable bed and living space - kitchen facilities, delicious food and fresh fruit! Oh yeah, did we mention the most awesome whale-watching from our living room window, with Maui standing guard on the horizon. Thank you, Bela and Chris, for sharing your wonderful ohana with us. Aloha future guests: Smile big! You're staying at one of the BEST "BnB's" on the island, by far! This place is a lovely oasis, a GEM. I'm a Flight Attendant ... Our last day and I can finally see most of Maui where my parents vacationed for many years. For me, this is my first visit to the islands. Hawaii (island) has been a good introduction. My favorite - snorkeling with the colorful butterfly fish. The north coast is so scenic. Many great places to eat - Sushi Rock (we went twice!), Pico's Bistro, the Blue Dragon. Bela and Chris, you are gracious hosts and you have a spacious, beautiful, relaxing apartment. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Mahalo!

We had the good fortune to rent both the upstairs suite and downstairs room for the 2 weeks before Christmas. The house is surprisingly spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. Beds were comfortable and there were many nice touches throughout. DVD library provided a nice way to spend evenings together. Hosts Chris and Bela were friendly and generous. Great view. Well equipped kitchen. Our son enjoyed the company of Pete the horse and 2 sheep.

It's been such a pleasure staying with you, thanks so much for that. As we mentioned a few times, the view up there is so amazing, as is the suite. We're sure that it's one of the best places to stay on the island. The price is great too. Also we were very happy and found that so nice of you, that you included (things we didn't expect!). We felt very welcome and it really was a pleasure getting to know you and talking to you about (America) or places to go on the island, which was so helpful. So we're off to Maui now and we're looking forward to it, but we're also a bit sad having to leave this wonderful, tranquil place. Thanks so much for your kindness.

The accommodations are beautiful, the scenery is breath taking, and family that owns it is wonderful. I have stayed in both the upstairs bedroom and the downstairs bedroom and both show amazing views of the field and the ocean. The area is quite and makes for the perfect getaway. I also have to make note of the books on the bookshelf, they are both profound and entertaining. I could not wish for anything more, except maybe more time to enjoy it.
