  If I could live there permanently, I absolutely would. This house was heavenly and appointed so beautifully with such exquisite taste. I would go back again in a heartbeat. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

  A beautiful house, fully equiped, located in the centro area. Great places to see around, eat around and enjoy the sierra: its vegetation and its cultural diversity. Can rent a car in town if needed.

  We travel a lot around the world and always look for comfortable hotels or villas as we believe it is part of the experience. We were with another family and spent a week in Chiapas and choose Casa Grande as a base for our visits. This is a beautiful rustic but very functional home, decorated with taste and great for couples or families. It is very central in S Cristobal and it makes a big difference exploring and living this beautiful town and then being able to go back to a home rather than a hotel room in an hotel. Service wise it is like being in an hotel given that the maid took care of the house on a daily basis. When we were tired dining around and on colder nights there were two great "deli" shops litterally around the corner that prepared excellent ready to go tacos, enchiladas etc. that we had in front of the beautifull chimney of the house. S Cristobal is also close enough to Montebello Lakes, Comitan, Tonala Ruins, C. del Sumidero etc. for day excursions so we actually avoided having to repack every time changing from one hotel room to another. Thanks to the house and its position we had the perfect trip!

  Once I walked into Casa Grande I couldn’t help but smile and laugh at how ridiculously beautiful it was. The pictures don’t do the gardens or the house justice. There is a courtyard in the front, and a huge garden in the back. Each is stunning and completely private with a sitting area. Casa Grande has all the comforts of home with modern appliances, Wi-Fi, telephone etc., but doesn’t sacrificing the authentic Mexican feel of bright colors and exquisite tile work. You’ll also felt totally safe behind the very sturdy doors affixed with impressive locks. When we got down there the property manager was a very kind woman named Ingrid. She speaks perfect English and can answer any questions that you may have. She was a truly great resource and went out of her way to be completely welcoming. Do yourself a favor and book Casa Grande.

  San Cristobal de Las Casas is an amazing city with so much to offer. I have worked their for several years now and Casa Grande has been the best place that we have stayed. The house is comfortable, easy, beautiful and safe. The location is just minutes from the town center and to the main walking streets. The property including the front and backyard gardens are amazing and great for kids. The kitchen is very well equipped and very functional. Finally, the property manager, owner and folks who work to clean and keep up the house were warm, welcoming and very helpful. Can't wait to return!

  The house was absolutely fantastic!! It more than met my expectations. The gardens are beautiful and we enjoyed toasty fires night and day. Logistically, it was perfect for our group. We loved the location-- an easy walk to everything. The trip over-all was tops and we are all dreaming about when we will be back
