This charming 25sq. meter (270 sq. ft) studio with its 6sq. meter (65 square ft) balcony is on the 5th floor. On a quiet pedestrian street, it is surrounded by bars, restaurants and a famous open air market, Rue Montorgueil; it is in walking distance of numerous Parisian landmarks such as the Louvre Museum, the River Seine and Pompidou Center.

In an early 19th century building, with four apartments per floor and six floors without elevator, the studio is full of light and charm with exposed oak beams and a parquet floor.

It has a fully equipped separate kitchen and a separate sleeping area with adjoining bathroom / shower. The studio gives onto a large balcony from two French windows and it is furnished in a contemporary style. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave / oven, fridge and washing machine.

The adjacent living area, with a separate sleeping alcove for two, has ample built in storage space. A fold out guest mattresses is available for an eventual third person.

It comes with cable TV, broadband internet, Wi-Fi and free fixed line calls within France and to more than 20 international destinations including all of the EU, USA, China, and Japan. The studio also comes with coffee maker, sheets, towels, plates and all other comforts, offering you a fully furnished, stylish pied à terre in the heart of Paris.

Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 2

The studio I am offering is one after my own heart. It is so romantic and charming and in such a great area, full of restaurants, food shops and an open air market. It has great light and a balcony, so rare in Paris. I remember when I was renovating, all my friends used to come by in the evening for a drink on the balcony. We all felt it's the kind of place one wants to come back to at the end of a day in Paris.

The studio is in such a vibrant area of the city, one still very Parisian and one which imbues you with energy and life. It is on one of the rare pedestrian streets so not too noisy but so close to all the monuments of the city. It is just perfectly located by being in the center but offering peace and harmony, light and comfort.

    • We stayed at the apartment on Rue Marie Stuart for 2 weeks in October, 2009. We had a wonderful time exploring the city from this very central location. The apartment is only a short walk from the river, the Louvre, and the Pompidou Center. The local area offers a wide range of cafes, restaurants and shops of all types. It felt safe to walk at any hour. The apartment is a small, clean and simple. It is ideal for two people but would be cramped for more. The kitchen area provides facilities for cooking and eating. The balcony (a wonderful place to enjoy breakfast or a late afternoon glass of wine) overlooks the cafes and restaurants on the street. You do need to be able to manage 5 flights of stairs, but the location makes it well worthwhile. Daniel was helpful and we would strongly recommend this apartment to others.

    • We rented this apartment for 10 days in October and were very happy with our choice. First of all, it was a total pleasure dealing with the owner. Daniel was very accurate with money, provided lots of information about the place and the city including transportation tips, and supplied everything necessary for our stay. The apartment is cozy, clean and designed with good taste. We loved it and enjoyed quality rest after a long day exploring the city. The location is unbeatable. After a snack and a short break, we usually went out for evening walks. Cafes, restaurants, and food shops are around the area, river shore and many attractions such as Center of Pompidou or Notre-Dame are 5-15 minutes by foot from the apartment. The stairway to the 5th floor did not bother us at all. We loved its Parisian look and had fun counting steps, turning on the light, and looking through the windows. Purchasing a Museum Pass and making multiple visits to the Louvre Museum and Center of Pompidou on evenings when they are open late was a very good idea, and we enthusiastically recommend it. Don’t forget to go out for some of the best ice-cream in Europe in the area near Notre-Dame. Most cafés stay open until 9 pm.
