My wife and I have loved coming up to the North Carolina Mountains for years. We explored many areas but found the Ski Appalachia area to be the perfect mix of view, outdoor activities and peacefulness with the proximity of the fine restaurants and shopping of Blowing Rock and Boone. In the summer we enjoy hiking in the many nearby parks and relaxing in the cool mountain air. Wintertime brings us recreation of cross-country skiing while our kids snowboard. We can hardly wait for our next opportunity to visit our mountain home.
