An accurate description was given concerning both location and the view ... simply breathtaking! The condo was beautifully decorated, clean, and well stocked.(kitchen-amazing). Our stay lasted a few months..and honestly we had nothing but a great experience. Complaints? Sun rise on the ocean every morning,.. great security,..large garage..a tv in every room..lovely pool....no complaints! Already we have sent out recommendations to our family and friends...Amelia Island is a treasure filled with limitless things to do.( My mother is 81...she stayed busy with area attractions...boat tours, unique restaurants, quaint museum and of course shopping.) Something for very age!!

COMPLETELY DISAGREE WITH PREVIOUS REVIEW AND I THINK YOU SHOULD DISREGARD. Owners are extremely easy to deal with and very accomodating for even the slightest request. The condo has great ocean views and is spacious, open and bright. The kitchen is fully equipped with all utensils, flatware, cookware, serving and food storage containers. New electronics throughout the house and wired with full cable access, internet and a large flat panel tv in the living room. Comfortable furniture and beds with clean new linens. Convienent location on the north end of the island is a short walk to the beach and just a few minutes into downtown Fernandina Beach. Great value for the location, locked garage parking and storage and condo amenities. Elevators and stairs in building. Carts provided by condo to help with carrying luggage or groceries in. On site security keeps you feeling safe and secure. Condo was spotless upon arrival. I was in town for the Atlantic Coast Triathlon race which was two blocks away in Main Beach Park on the ocean. Skateboard and bicycle park one block over. Every kind of restaurant you could ask for in Fernandina. Owners have even put together a binder with listings and recommendations of most restaurants. Amelia Island is a classic north Florida community with moss draped oaks and this modern condo is a comfortable and relaxing stay in a terrific location. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a great value while staying on Amelia.

I've stayed at several Ocean Park Condos over the years, all were really lovely -- except this one. Carpets look like a crime scene, sparsely furnished with tacky patio furniture, applilances broken and cheap, cable only in the main living room, toilets backed up and no plunger. The price was higher than othere because it's on the fourth floor, but definitely not worth it. Plus, they stick new renters with security deposit for previous damage. Absentee landlord, dishonest managers, no love. Booo.
Owner response:I’m sorry this renter felt as though she was cheated & treated unfairly. I held the renter's security deposit check, as I’ve done with previous renters, until she checked out. After the housekeeper arrived to clean the unit, she called me to let me know the condo was, in her words, "trashed."In all of our years renting it, we’ve never had any problems, & the housekeeper’s never called me stating the condo had been trashed. The housekeeper said there was chocolate smeared on the walls & carpet & new food stains on the carpet; the vacuum cleaner had been disassembled; a glass top had been removed from a table; she found gum stuck in the carpet & on a brand new area rug; the trash hadn’t been taken out; a load of laundry hadn’t been started.Pictures were taken of the damage.Based on the damages reported to me, I deposited the renter’s deposit check, which bounced.I eventually got the money from her bank once funds were available.I’ve never had to withhold money from a renter’s deposit. We spent tens of thousands of dollars furnishing & decorating our condo. The over-the-range microwave was broken, but we had placed a countertop microwave in the kitchen until we could get into the condo to replace the broken microwave, which we’ve now replaced. The renter called me to report one of the toilets was “backed up.” I offered to call a plumber, but she said it wasn't that bad & that she would buy a plunger.Apparently, the plunger in the condo was missing.I offered to reimburse her for the plunger. Our condo is stocked with all of the necessary kitchen items & bath/bed linens needed for a rental unit, unless someone removes an item, which we always replace as soon as it is discovered an item is missing. Our rental rates are very low compared to other units advertised for rent in the condo complex. All of the TV’s have cable connection. The TV in the living room is the only TV that has a DVR box.We have carpets steam cleaned twice a year.My family uses our condo on a frequent basis, & we replace or repair anything that needs to be.I’ve been very cordial to this renter through emails, only to have rude emails sent back.I’ve tried to be very fair with her & have no reason to doubt the housekeeper, especially since I have now seen some of the damage reported. We just recently stayed in the condo ourselves, so I was able to see the new food stains on the carpet & gum stuck in the carpet & area rug.We know how important it is to have a nice, clean, well-stocked condo for renters.

The owners' description of this property is truly understated. When you walk through the front door and get a view of the ocean you know this is something special and a lot of thought has gone into making this a home away from home. The amenities provided made it very convenient. My husband and I really enjoyed viewing the sunrise from the balcony while having breakfast. I would definitely recommend Barbara Jean's for the delicious crab cakes and the Omni Amelia Island Plantation for lunch and spa treatments. We definitely plan to return to Paradise.no

My family and I stayed in this unit in August. We enjoyed spending time on the balcony having our coffee in the morning and enjoying the beautiful view of the ocean. On a couple of mornings, we saw deer at the edge of the trees of Fort Clinch. Our son enjoyed the nearby basketball court. It was a short walk to the beach. We especially enjoyed the pool and having areas to rinse off the sand from our chairs.. We were able to keep our beach items in our private garage. This unit is located close to many restaurants and shopping. We look forward to staying at this unit in years to come.

This was so much better than I had expected! The condo was nice - had a blender and pitchers, plates and cups... everything that we needed! Looking forward to our next vacation! =) Also, we left you three beach chairs in the garage. They wouldn't fit in our car, not to mention we have no need for beach chairs in Missouri. Thanks again!!!
Owner response:I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, we look forward to hosting you again!

My family stayed here July 2010. I was really excited at the first step into the condo. It was outstanding! The view from the living room window was a postcard, and it was absolutely perfect weather. The ocean view made the trip worth every penny. You take a 2 minute stroll down a little side street, that takes you right to the beach. The beach was not crowded. It was very peaceful. There is a spot to wash off outside, after your day in the sand. There is a big elevator and a cart to haul your groceries and beverages from the car, so you only have to make one trip. The blender in the condo was a must, for our fruity drinks! The pool/hot tub area was very relaxing. The garage was nice too. It kept the car out of the heat, since it was over 97 degrees every day. We didn't spend much time on the patio, but there was a table and chairs. We used the indoor grill once for steaks, even though there were two grills down by the pool. The reservation was a piece of cake. Thank you for a lovely place to visit. We will be back...

We've stayed at this condo several times over the past 4 years. Each time the condo was clean and well stocked. Everything you need is in the kitchen including dishes, small appliances, and cooking utensils. Their is also a full size washer and dryer located in the condo. I especially like the fact that the owners keep a vacuum cleaner and broom inside the condo for guests to use during their stay. Most condos I've rented don't provide a vacuum cleaner for guests to use during their stay to clean up any dirt or beach sand that is brought in. The condo grounds are very clean as well as the pool and pool area. There are a lot of owner residents and families who don't rent out their condos so the grounds are always clean. The view is spectacular all day long, but especially in the mornings during sunrise. Parking is very convenient and accessible. The beach is only a short walking distance away. I especially liked the outside area on the condo grounds where you can rinse off your feet, chairs and floats after returning from the beach. The owner is very friendly and helpful as well. The owners stay in the condo quite frequently themselves and makes sure everything is in order for guests. The condo is very large and accomodates a large family easily. Downtown Fernandina is only a few minutes away as well as Slider's, which is a great seafood restaurant. We didn't stay in the condo this year but stayed in the owner's beach house instead. Their beach house is also very nice and clean. The house is located right on the beach and the morning sunrise is breath taking. I would definitely recommend this condo to all of my family and friends, as well as their beach house!

The description of the Ocean Park condo we stayed in was right on! The listing reflected the location but I thought by looking at the pictures the pool might be a bit larger but was quite sufficient. The property was clean but the condo had some large area stains on it...a good cleaning would help I think. The owner was great - very informative, friendly and helpful each time we spoke. I would recommend this property to a friend but even moreso...we would come back and stay again. We enjoyed Fort Clinch, Elizabeth Pointe, Brett's Cafe, The United Methodist Church. We also drove to nearby St. Augustine but mostly enjoyed the beach and pool. Lovely area to visit!
Owner response:I apologize for the carpets. We did not go to the condo from January to the middle of May, and were unaware there were so many new stains. The carpets, tile, and furniture were all steam-cleaned on 6/2/10. As of now, there are no stains on the carpets. Thank you for your review, and we look forward to your next stay!

we arrived at the ocean park on christmas eve and enjoyed an awesome week...it was my christmas gift to my parents and sister...the condo was nicely arranged and stocked...great appliances and furnishings, including a new flatscreen tv in the living room..we enjoyed sitting on the balcony porch overlooking the pond fountain below and with great views of the ocean...equally enjoyable was the time spent in historic downtwown Fernandina Beach...what a nice walk back in time..even tho the weather was unseasonalbly cold, we enjoyed walks on the beach for both exercise and enjoyment and morning coffees on the balcony...and while there are several restuarants both local-owned and franchised with-in a couple of miles, we chose to cook meals in the sizeable kitchen and enjoyed eating at the dining table...it also served as the setting for some great card games...none of which i won! i would definitely recommend this condo and i hope to rent again myself....

Our son and his fiance' flew down from Wisconsin to meet up with us and our daughter for a few days of sun and family time. The condo was roomy enough to accommodate 5 adults comfortably. The condo was nicely decorated, comfortable, and clean. Fresh, fluffy towels were an added luxury. Very nice unit and very good value. Views from the balcony were fabulous. Only problem we encountered was that someone had thrown the breaker on the hot water and after we figured out why we had no hot water we had five people waiting to shower. Minor inconvenience. Because we had picked the worst record cold snap in Florida as our vacation dates we were unable to take advantage of the close proximity to the beach, however the location was great. We enjoyed the historic downtown area, shops, and restaurants. Would definately stay here again and recommend it to others.
Owner response:I apologize about the water heater. We keep it turned off when the condo is vacant so that electricity and money aren't unnecessarily wasted. Thank you for your review, and we look forward to your next stay!

This place was wonderful! We enjoyed a great view of the ocean and Fort Clinch State park. There was plenty of room for all of us and all the needed amenities were there. The ease of contacting the owner made us choose this unit. He was very pleasant and honest. Amelia island and Fernandina beach were lots of fun even in November and there were some really fabulous restaurants. The weather was also great. We look forward to our return visit!!

We’ve stayed at this peaceful condo twice now. Each time the property was exactly as described and depicted in the pictures. The condo was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed plus more. The kids enjoyed the lovely pool with the cascading waterfall and hot tub. We enjoyed the balcony each morning and evening. This condo is in a great location . . . walking distance to the beach, next door to Fort Clinch State Park and minutes to historic downtown. The owner was extremely helpful and delightful to interact with. We will definitely recommend this condo to our family and friends. We loved the view of the ocean!
