  Our family spent the New Years holiday in this fabulous condo. The condo is super clean, spacious and comfortable with everything you need! The veiws from the balcony and the sunsets were incredible! The pool was heated and was a perfect temperature (and we like a warm pool!). We are extremely happy that we chose this condo for our vacation and would love to visit here again! The owners are amazing! They are super accomodating and are wonderful to work with-we feel like we have made some new friends! They have great info in the condo- things to do in the area- and they welcomed our family with wine for us and popcorn and candies for the kids. We appreciate all that they did to make this a great, memorable vacation. We will be recommending this property to our friends.

  This vacation on Indian shores was just what my family and I needed! Perfect get away! We woke up every day to the sounds of the ocean and the fresh ocean air,just breath taking! The condo was equipped with everything we needed,it was clean,comfortable and quiet. Many near by beaches to visit and great places to eat fresh seafood. We will definatley be visiting again! The best vacation EVER ! And thank you Heather for the special welcome treats !

• Misleading amenities in condo

  We were disappointed that the owners of this unit had not only posted misleading information regarding the amenities for this vacation rental condo and also misrepresented the amenities when we booked the unit. The list of amenities posted on the Homeaway.com website specifically states that there is a washing machine and clothes dryer in the kitchen of this unit. When I called the owner to book the unit, I had specifically asked if there was a clothes washer and dryer within the unit was assured by the owner that there was a washer and dryer in the unit. Having a washer and dryer within the condo was a critical feature for us as my wife is rehabilitating from a hip injury. Upon our arrival at the condo, we were disappointed to find out that there was no washer and dryer within the unit. To make matters worse, when my wife called the owner, the owner minimized the necessity of the washer and dryer in the unit stating first of all, the website information has not been updated since two years ago (possibly meaning that there MAY have been one in there at one time or other or is now locked behind the door in the kitchen that she made clear that the door was locked and not for our use) and secondly stated that we could surely take the elevator to the washing facilities on the first floor and pay $1.25 for use of the washer and dryer. My wife found her matter of fact attitude very condescending during the conversation. We did not let this issue deter us from having a pleasant vacation in Indian Shores. However, I would not recommend this specific condo to a friend or relative. Integrity of the information posted for any condo rental unit would be our minimum expectation and this was clearly not satisfied.

  Owner response: Jim and I always hope our guests love their stay and accomodations. We were so distressed about the above reveiw , because we are accustomed to wonderful reviews. All we can ask future travelers is .. please read the amenities for each unit you consider on line. Like us, many owners have more than one unit and they are each unique in what they offer . If interested , a little history on this review: The original booking for this guest was h/a #229601, a 2 story townhome unit, 4 miles off the beach with a washer/dryer. This unit is a fabulous , but has steep stairs. The husband booked the unit, never mentioning his wife's surgery. As the conversation shifted , I happened to ask, "would you like to upgrade to the beach, at no extra charge? " He was excited, I gave him the unit number on line, he was going to discuss it with his wife and call me back. He called back and booked the unit. A misunderstanding of amenities occured. When his wife called, she said, "you advertised a washer dryer". I was then informed, by her, she was recovering from hip surgery. I said, "no mam, I did not" ."Your husband originally booked a differant unit, which is 4 miles off the beach but has a washer/dryer in the unit. However he changed his mind thinking you would love being on the beach." She got very quiet. I told her there was a w/d in the building right outside her door and down 1 floor, via elevator, for $1.25 a load. In addition, we offered to move them back to the original unit . They didn't want to move. They wanted this beautiful beachfront unit, and why shouldn't they ? It's fabulous. Read the reviews ! I guess they decided a washer/ dryer couldn't trump a Florida sunset from their own private balcony ,after all .. We are excited to share our many units with guests from all over the world. We encourage every reader to review all amenities, so your specific needs are met. Because it is Our hope that Your stay, Exceeds your Expectations ! There is nothing AVERAGE about it!   The ocean view and breezes were spectacular. The unit was great. Heather was wonderful and helped us during our week stay, Our family is definately looking at next year... Thanks Heather

  We'd wonderful family vacation with our 5 & 6 year olds. Condo had all amenities including beach gear for the kids. Location on beach could not be beat! Restaurants and bike/kayak rentals were an easy drive/walk. Most relaxing vacation in years...

  Our family trip was the week of Thanksgiving 2010. This was the first time we had vacationed in Tampa and what a fabulous time we had! My daughters (ages 14 and 3) and I had the best time of our lives! We spent most of our time enjoying the views...either on the balcony or on the beach! The sunsets are so beautiful...magical! What other way to enjoy the pre-holiday season? You can only visualize this experience, based on the photos provided on this website. They are nice, but nothing compares to being there! What a home-away-from-home experience! Every detail was thought out...nothing to take with you but your swim suit! The hospitality we received was above and beyond the norm! Heather is such a sweetheart and answered ALL our questions (no matter how trivial they seemed). Thank you for such a memorable family vacation! We plan on visiting again in the future (hopefully NEAR future)! ;-)

  We just returned from a week's stay at this beautiful condo. It is very clean, extra spacious, bright and cheery with everything you will need, plus a large flat screen TV w/DVD player and free WiFi. The view and sunsets from the condo are incredible -- you really need to experience this The owners are fantastic. They left us a bottle of wine, which was quite a treat. We highly recommend staying at the condo. You will enjoy your stay as much as we did.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

  Very Clean great decor, beautiful view of gulf and pool. Condo has everything you need for a relaxing trip (beach chairs, towels, coolers, etc.) Indian Shores is very private, quiet community (no high rises, just beach houses and smaller condos). So if you enjoy quiet clean beaches within easy driving distance to area restaurants, shops, sight seeing, this is a great location. Owner very accommodating. Will stay here in the future.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.
