Enjoyed our stay but were surprised just how small the cabin is. The location, ammenities and fishing more than made up for the cabin size. Weather was great and the owners went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed ourselves.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

We stayed at this charming cabin for four nights following our wedding and we couldn't have been more pleased. The owners were very kind and gracious and we found the cabin to be to the exact specifications as detailed online. The views were excellent and we loved fishing in the mornings and evenings from the dock. We brought our boat and were pleased that the marina was within 5 mins from the cabin. We were also happy to be able to bring our dog with us. We couldn't have wished for a better deal and we will definitely be back!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Cosy Cottage was a wonderful week getaway! We used it as our home away from home to fish, relax and visit the area of the Ozarks. The outdoor fireplace was awesome to sit and enjoy a nice glass of wine after a day of fishing or siteseeing around the area. We also caught our share of rainbow trout right from the wonderful dock on the grounds. We just left our poles hanging on the rack by the cabinet with our tackle box and went down whenever the mood and/or change in tide called us. Our hostess, Dottie was awesome! We truly enjoyed our stay and hope one day to come back.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

The cabin was perfect for everything a couple would need. I love to B.B.Q. and they have a nice patio where we cooked steaks and fish in the evening and ate under the stars! The fishing from the dock is FANTASTIC!!!! Even caught a Walleye! Dottie, Bob & Doc are perfect host and we will be back..Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We had THE BEST time on our getaway vacation. When my husband and I arrived, I think we both sighed at the same time. The pictures just cannot possibly do this little piece of heaven justice. The cottage is immaculate, but homey. The bed was so comfy! The dozen farm fresh eggs were such a nice welcome, and Dottie even brought us a couple of slices of delicious homemade apple pie! She and Bob are such a nice couple. We caught around 40 rainbow trout and 1 walleye (ok so I only caught six of the trout!) The tranquility of our surroundings quickly wound us down from the hustle and bustle of the daily drind. We both didn’t want to leave! It was just lovely and we plan to come back! Thanks for everything Bob, Dottie (and Doc!)Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Location
Owner info
Year Purchased: 2009
About the owner: We decided to retire from the rat race of the city and move to the Ozarks. So we did the downsizing thing and here we are. We purchased a small home on a hill facing the White River and then built the guest cottage so our family and friends could visit. We decided to rent the cottage when not in use so others could enjoy the peace and tranquility we have found here if even for just a few days. It has been fun meeting and making new friends along the way.
Why the Owner Chose Bull Shoals:
We love the White River and we love trout fishing! This location was desirable to us because it is just down the river from The Bull Shoals Dam and the fantastic Bull Shoals White River State Park. Our property is right in between the town of Bull Shoals and Lakeview, Arkansas. Just on the other side of the dam is the beautiful, huge Bull Shoals Lake where we can boat, ski, fish or just swim at the Lakeview beach or the Bull Shoals beach. Mountain Home, Arkansas is just 10 miles east so if we are in need of a quick mini-city fix, including cinemas or fast food such as McDonalds or Walmart or a casual restaurant such as Chili's, we find it in Mountain Home. But a quick ride back brings us home to the peace and tranquility of the country and the gorgeous, rolling White River.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Getting up in the morning and viewing the White River with fog rising off is an unbelievable experience. The cottage is new and very private. It is on our private 5 acres, we live in the middle of the property and the guest cottage is down the hill right on the White River. So you will not be competing with other guests at Whisper Cove Cottage. On hot, steamy summer evenings walking down the rock stairs to your private boat dock and feeling the cool air from the 56 degree water in the river is refreshing and amazing.
