Excellent house, conveniently located near clubhouse at Bay Creek. House was accurately described in the listing, and more than met our expectations. The only criticism would be that no bath towels were provided in the upstairs bathroom. Otherwise, enjoyed the stay at Pinnacle, and would consider returning in the future.

Owner response:Bath towels were in the linen closet across from the upstairs bathroom, but we agree this is not obvious to our guests. In the future, all bath towels will be left in the open so this issue will not re-occur. We also supply a cell number for our caretaker to resolve any issues that may occur during your stay.

Everything was perfect. The house is cozy, clean and has more than enough space even with 3 children. The kitchen has everything we needed. Bedrooms are spacious and confortables. The resort is really nice, the beach is clean and their is lots of space. Being 3 minutes from the beach by car or bicycle has been extremely nice with the children. We had a great week at the Pinnacle, we will rent again.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Pinnacle. The house was much larger than it appears in the photos, spotless, and very well stocked. The internet worked well. We were there mostly for the beach, and it was wonderful to have an umbrella and chairs available for use! My husband enjoyed the golf course, and was surprised at how close the house is to the Club House. The Bay Creek pools were nice, close enough to walk to.

Home Away from Home

We found out about VRBO through a relative and we were very happy with the choice we made. Our family included twin 15 month old toddlers as well as their great grandmother. The photos provided with the listing information made it easier for us to plan ahead so we could make things safe for the kids and provide a quiet space for G.G. We loved the screened in porch and spent a great deal of time out there playing, reading and watching the golfers tee off. We also made use of the pool as well the bikes provided with the rental. Our son-in-law is an avid golfer from the UK and really enjoyed the challenge and beauty of both golf courses. We would definately recommend this rental to family or friends and to anyone looking for a home away from home, even if it is only for a week.

Found house very accommodating. Lots of beach chairs and bikes to use which was nice to have since we drove from michigan and had no room. Loved the screened in porch with comfy furniture. Loved the location.The only negative I have is the AC unit is very loud when you are enjoying the porch. Wish it was on the other side of the house. I loved the gardenia bush as you could smell it in the morning while I was having coffee on the porch. I would suggest that you put "pool passes" on the tags that are included in the packet as they looked just like the car pass for the resort and it was confusing and a little embarrassing at the pool as we had no pass. Got it cleared up with Kim but not until it was middle of the week. Overall, the golf was beautiful with views you rarely get to see. Enjoyed the beach and pool and the house made us feel like we were staying at a friend's house. You've done a great job with the house! Thanks again.

Family vacation

We all had a great time, for some of us it was the beach, for others the golf and for others the solitude they could find going for walks or reading their book on the porch. I've rented a lot of places. I put this one at the top of the list. It works for me and my family.

We visited this house for the second time this spring and enjoyed it just as much as we did in the summer. The house is extremely comfortable and spacious. This time we came with some golfing friends and they loved the golf courses. We will be back again.

We really enjoyed our vist to your home! Surprisingly so did our 19 year old daughter. We brought our 18' boat and the fishing was fantastic. Red drum up to 55lbs, 35lb cobia, flounder, blues, croaker, etc. Your home is beautiful and we found it very clean and comfy. Sadly we must leave so our daughter can get back to college. We will have many good memories of our Cape Charles vacation.

This is our first time vacationing in Virginia, but it won't be our last. We arrived very early for our check-in and explored the area. By the time we checked in at 3:00, we were already on Cape Charles time and relaxed. We loved the screened porch, 2 coffoe pots and the perfect location of the house. The weather was perfect. We were on the beach everyday. Our college boys loved the beautiful golf courses and we loved spending the entire week with them before they head back to school. Thank you for opening your cozy comfortable home to us. We had a ball. The chardonnary was such a treat.

Great house and wonderful location to enjoy the Virginia Eastern Shore. Bay Creek Resort itself is beautiful and very uncrowded. Lots of home sites still to be developed. My son and I had the Nicklaus course virtually to ourselves one afternoon while my wife and daughter enjoyed the near empty pool. Had two excellent meals at the pub in Cape Charles, with live music one night that was enjoyable for both teenagers and parents. Be sure to explore the whole peninsula. It really is its own unique corner of the world. At owners suggestion, we used Southeast Expeditions for a kayaking trip to the barrier islands and were very pleased. An excellent vacation week!

6/11/10 - What a beautiful and comfortable place you have here at the Pinnacle. We have been coming to this area for many years, and we decided we liked your house better than any place we've stayed. The screened porch provided a lot of enjoyment as we were entertained by all the creatures - Watching the red headed woodpecker proclaim he is in charge of the area was great fun. Catching flounder would have been an extra special bonus, but the weather wouldn't cooperate. It's hard to believe a week has passed. Reality will not set in when we can't take a daily nap, read whenever we want and eat everything in sight. Thank you for providing a great place to do all of this.

5/29/10 - The most rested vacation we have been on in years. The kitchen was stocked perfect for entertaining - would not change a thing inside. The golf-pool were perfect. Had 12 people for dinner on the deck.

Feb. 1, 2010 - A Lost Weekend - Having weathered Cape Charles' biggest snow storm in 20 years in your lovely home, we can attest to how cozy it is and how spacious as well. The diversions in place - dominoes, dvds, slot machine, foosball, tv, and many quiet places where one could slink off to read a book for an hour or two - were all utilized as we whiled away our weekend right here warm and secure at the Pinnacle. What initially seemed like a failed effort (2 of us are part of a group scheduled to perform at the local theatre and gallery - the concert was cencelled by the time we arrived) turned out to be a delightful relaxing and fun filled weekend. Thank You. - The Everetts, Beachers, Burns and Hartsocks.

1/1/2010 - Our 3rd season at Cape Charles / Kiptopeake for winter Fishing and we had a blast. Caught a bunch of Rock Fish, including 3 citations over 40lbs. Woo-Hoo!. Team Adrenaline lost our winning title in the "2009 Catching For Kids" striper tournament, but we had a great time eating oysters and striper stew. Served a good purpose for the less fortunate kids of Norfolk and hopefully had a toy for Christmas. After fishing all day on the Bay we had a nice warm and comfortable house to settle in for the night here at Bay Creek. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home with our family and fishing friends. We expecially enjoyed the games, poker chips, slot machine and fooseball table. We had all the comforts of home away from home.

7/19/08 - OUr 2nd trip to Cape Charles. We brought out 4 grandchildren ages 7-13, our son-in law and 1 daughter joined us. The pool was great fun. We hunted for shells and sea glass, had a a blast with the GPS search, played in the ocean and fell in love with Cape Charles all over again. We saw the greatest fireworks display in our lives. Your home is lovely and user friendly. We spent lots of time playing games on the screened porch. We will all carry lovely memories of our stay. Thank you for sharing your home!

The first annual “Yuengling Open” – what a time the boys had at the “Open”! Thanks to Brad and Carmen for letting us hold this prestigious tourney at the Pinnacle.
