Our 3 BR / 2 BA condo unit is located at the end of a cul-du-sac, traffic in the area is very limited; it is a quiet neighborhood. From approximately 7500 foot elevation, the unit over looks Lake Tahoe and the surrounding area. Access from the parking area to the landing in front of the units requires a short 17 step climb, easy to move in and out. This is ideal for the Tahoe Area where some units are a hundred of steps from parking. The end unit of the four-plex, provides windows in three directions; the unit is flooded with natural light.
The unit has three bedrooms, two on the lower level, one upstairs. The master downstair bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom, a double bed. Both bedrooms have closets and dressers. From the master bedroom, a sliding glass door opens to a back walkway, right into the pine forest. One bathroom with a tub and shower is located on the lower level.
Also on the first level is the kitchen and dining area where six can sit around the table, surrounded on two sides with windows, one looking to the northwest and Lake Tahoe, the other window looking out to the mountain, providing a peek into the Carson Valley. Two bar stools are provided where guests may sit up to the kitchen's preparation area. The kitchen is fully furnished with refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, garbage disposal, electric cook top and oven, and a full selection of cooking and food preparation utensils. Plates, glasses, cups, silverware, etc., are provided for eight guests.
The upstairs is comprised of the third bedroom with a Queen bed, one bathroom with tub and shower, and a large living area featuring an entertainment center with a TV, stereo and a small library. The closet provides a large assortment of games. Wonderful Lake Views - Tahoe Condo; 3 BR/2 BA from $140/Night
Year Purchased: 1993
Why the Owner Chose Tahoe Village
Our condo is located on the ridge between Lake Tahoe and Nevada's Carson Valley. The view out the front door, and from the second story deck, is a 120 degree sweep of Lake Tahoe; to the left lie the slopes of Heavenly Valley Ski Resort and turning 180 degrees provides a peek into the Carson Valley. At 7500 ft elevation, the air is crisp and clean and the night time views of the heavens are spectacular. Seeing constellation Orion setting over Lake Tahoe gives a hint to the reason for naming our home in the Sierras, "Betelgeuse".
The condo is a short walk to the Tahoe Rim Trail where in an hour's time one can hike to overlooks of Carson Valley, Lake Tahoe and other lakes and streams of the Sierras.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We enjoy the views from the deck hot tub, even on blustery winter evenings, breathing in the fresh out-of-doors, relaxing at the community pool, hiking on the Tahoe Rim Trail and running the nearly one mile hilly, loop of community roads.
Area open to those renting units in Tahoe Village. Gate Combo is available on the TV.
Owner's Map of Tahoe Village
WE are retired educators, Muriel a third grade teacher, Dave a college instructor of Chemistry and Astronomy. WE are avid skiers and hikers, enjoy the fresh air of the Sierras and the beautiful vistas seen from our condo.

This was paradise on a mountain top. My life will not be complete if I don't return to this piece of heaven - it was perfection. The condo was immaculate and extremely acommodating - all the conveniences of home, but at the same time "away from home." The owners were extremely easy to deal with and gave us great advice on restaurants and activities. I hope you get to enjoy as much as we did. Kathy Murphy

Our stay at this property was nothing short of spectacular. The owners were wonderfully helpful in advance and with the information that they left in the condo with outstanding and reliable advice about local attractions, restaurants and other local ammenities. The unit was spotlessly clean, linens were of excellent quality and the kitchen supplies were better than I have had in any similar rental unit. What a great hot tub! The views were breath-taking. We hope to visit again. The owners followed up to our individual contact with them via email and reiterated and extended again the warm and gracious invitation to visit again. Be sure to go to Evans Restaurant about 15 minutes away--the best dining I have experienced in many years! You can be sure that we will try to return and will recommend to family and friends.

This property is cozy, comfortable and peaceful - perfect for getting away from the big city. It's like a home away from home with a full kitchen for cooking your favorite meal and in-home entertainment options like a DVD player, TV, games, books, etc. if you're looking for quiet evenings "in." Super easy access to the ski lifts at Heavenly (Nevada side) in the winter (just a short drive around the corner) and/or convenient to hiking/walking trails during the summer months. The views can't be beat at around 7,000+ feet, yet the condo is only about a 10-15 minute drive from the lake, casinos, restaurants, etc. on Tahoe's South Shore. It's a great option for being in Tahoe without the touristy hustle and bustle (that happens near the lake) on holiday weekends. I love coming here with my family and/or a group of girlfriends. I have enjoyed this clean, well-kept condo for many visits to Tahoe in the last 15+ years. Owners are very friendly, accommodating, and helpful.

By way of quick executive summary, this is the 3rd or 4th time I have stayed at this exact condo in S. Lake Tahoe over the course of the last maybe 10 years. I have stayed at a number of other places, from hotels and cabins to other condos and friends homes and I think the most important thing to take away from this review is that my family keeps coming back to this particular condo. There is plenty of room with 4 sleeping areas and 2 bathrooms. As expected, it is fully stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay. It is clean and well maintained. It is really close to skiing and only a very short drive to good restaurants and entertainment. The views are amazing from the hot tub on the top floor deck. And the owners are great people, real salt of the earth folks. I would definitely recommend this location for a stay in S. Lake Tahoe.

We skied and played in the snow with our grandchildren. Atmosphere and accomodations were very comfortable. We had everything we needed - the property was clean and well maintained. Second TV in master bedroom was a nice touch. Owner was very friendly and helpful providing maps, access information etc. Definitely would recommend to others. Listing doesn't do justice to the views! Everyday's view was different but all days were awesome!
