Stylish, tastefully furnished home on the spectacularly beautiful California North Coast, one mile from the historic town of Gualala. House is very comfortable for families, great for grandchildren!! It's on a hillside meadow, light-filled and sunny, with huge blue water views, minutes from Sea Ranch beaches,Gualala Regional Park and Gualala River. Hillside homes are coveted by full time Sea Ranchers, who know that they are sunny with less wind and fog! Sea Ranch is a private residential community that stretches along 10 miles of oceanfront coastline, and is nationally recognized for the quality of design and protection of the natural landscape. It offers an abundance of recreational facilities, including private trails and beaches, 18 hole golf course, three swimming pools, and tennis courts. The Sea Ranch Lodge offers an excellent restaurant and bar, gallery, meeting rooms and seasonal activities, such as wine tasting.
Sea Ranch is peaceful and serene. The Sea Ranch community is small and helpful, with full time (unobtrusive!) security for all homes. Summers and winters in the Sea Ranch area are mild, sunny and great for walking, hiking, biking, surfing, diving, and mushroom hunting.
Cultural activities abound in the nearby area: excellent theatre and Metropolitan Opera simulcast in nearby Point Arena; restaurants famous for California cuisine, nationally recognized Gualala Art Center, an active art and theatre community. Gualala has all services, fine restaurants, and great shopping. The historic town of Mendocino is an hour away, and the Sonoma Wine Country is a short drive through redwoods.
The house is in excellent condition and easy to live in; it has full ocean views from living room, kitchen, master bedroom and deck. Living areas are sunny and light filled. Hiking trails abut the property, there is excellent mushroom hunting in the woods behind the house; quail, deer and birds flourish---even a couple of foxes. THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO SPEND TIME WITH OR WITHOUT THE FAMILY, ALL YEAR ROUND.
