Year Purchased: 2003
I am a self employed business owner, and a beach lover. I try to spend as much time on the beach as possible. My passion is Kite surfing, so weather permitting I try to be out in the waves as much as possible. That's my son displaying his catch of the day. We caught about 50 LBS of Bluefish that day.
Why the Owner Chose Boca Raton
I narrowed my search to Highland beach, before purchasing my home, since it is one of the nicest beaches around. It is 21 feet above sea level with nice views of the Ocean. The beaches are wide for recreational activities, but not too wide were the homes are set back so far from the water, that you no longer feel like you live on the Ocean. The water clarity was also a factor. Water color and clarity is very good. Properties closer to intra-coastal inlets can be murky. The 5,000 sq house is also fantastic, with a great floor plan, nice grassy oceanfront yard for the kids, and expansive views of the Ocean from all the major rooms.
The Unique Benefits of this House
I enjoy the ability to just walk on the beach at a moments notice to either go Kite surfing, bodysurfing, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, or go for a morning walk with a cup of coffee, or an evening stroll to see the Sea Turtles laying their eggs.
