Our family just purchased this wonderful, 3-yr old house in July 2009. The house is 1/2 block from the public beach access. It has 8 bedrooms (including 4 Kings), 6 1/2 baths, and can sleep 19 in beds. Each of the 4 master bedrooms has a new flat-screen TV, and 3 of the 4 have brand new mattresses. All 8 bedrooms have new comforters.
Both living rooms have new flat screen HD TVs, and all TVs have HD cable and movie channels. There is an elevator that serves every floor, a heated private pool (daily surcharge for heater use), secure high-speed wireless internet (code provided), ceiling fans and tile floors throughout, and a fully stocked kitchen. The wrap-around decks on each level have plenty of chairs and offer great views of the ocean, the sound, and the setting sun.
This house is ideal for large family gatherings or multi-family groups.

- Air Conditioning: Each of the three levels has its own A/C unit and thermostat.

- Linens Provided: Linens are not provided, but a complete linen package can be added for about $225. This linen package includes sheets and pillowcases for all beds; a set of bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths for each person; bath mats for each bathroom; and 5 kitchen towels. For an additional $40, the beds will be made up for you prior to your arrival.

- Parking for RV/Boat/Trailer: There is a vacant lot next door. Both offer plenty of space to park a boat or RV.
- Elevator: The house has an elevator that serves all four levels (ground level + 3 floors). It makes unloading luggage and groceries much easier.

- King Bed (4) : The house has 4 bedrooms with King beds. We just purchased new mattresses for 3 of these beds. All 4 Kings also have brand new comforters.
- Queen Bed (2)
- Bunk Bed (2) : We have 2 bunk rooms, which each have a "Trapeze" bed. This is a bunk bed with a Double bed on the bottom and a Twin on top, so each can sleep 3.
- Convertible Bed: We also have a futon in one of the bunk rooms.
- Entertainment
- Cable/Satellite TV: We have 6 new flatscreen HD TVs. Each of the 4 King bedrooms has one, as well as one in each of the 2 Living Rooms. All have HD Cable and free movie channels. The main Living Room and the 3rd floor Master have DVD players, and the 2nd floor Living Room has a TV/DVD combo.

- Video Games: We have a variety of games. Most are rated "E" for "Everyone."
- Private Pool: The house has its own private pool, which can be heated for an additional $40/day or $250/week. We also have a variety of inflatable floats and toys for the pool. The pool area contains 4 reclining lounge/sunbathing chairs, and a patio table and 4 chairs for outdoor dining. The pool area also contains a heated outdoor shower and changing area.
- Shared Pool: In 2010, our guests will have complimentary access to The Islander Beach Club and its oceanfront pool, hot tub, kiddie pool, and tiki bar. The Islander Beach Club is also home to one of the best restaurants at OIB.

- Gas/Electric BBQ Grill: A deluxe gas grill with 1 propane tank will be furnished with all weekly rentals.
- Deck/Patio: The house has wrap-around decks on all 3 levels. Because there is no house behind us, the ocean views are excellent. The third level has 2 48" tables and multiple chairs for outdoor dining on the ocean side. The third level, sound side has two bistro tables each with two chairs, and offers great sunset views. The second level has a number of chairs on both sides of the house.

- Broadband Internet: The house has free, 7Mb high-speed, wireless internet. If your computer doesn't have a wireless card, you can connect directly via ethernet cable to the router located in the 2nd floor living room.

- Kid Friendly: Our extended family has 6 kids across 4 families, ranging in age from 1 year to 8 years, so we have tried to make the house as kid-friendly as possible. Of course, the pool is a big hit. But we also have a variety of games, puzzles, coloring books, and Legos to cover most age ranges. We will be adding a video game system in October with a collection of rated-E games. The house also has a full-sized high chair and a safety gate to block off the stairs. We will be adding a crib to the house in October.

Why the Owner Chose Ocean Isle Beach
My wife is a North Carolina native, and her family has been vacationing at OIB for about 20 years. We have owned a house here since 2003, and came across this house over Memorial Day weekend 2009. We love OIB because of its family-friendly atmosphere and relatively uncrowded beaches. There are also a number of very good restaurants right here in OIB. And, the outlet shopping and other attractions of Myrtle Beach are only 45 minutes away.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We were initially attracted to the size of the house and the ability for our entire family to gather in one location. Additionally, with its wrap-around decks, the house has great views of both the ocean and the sound (and sunset). It is great to have a heated private pool and the elevator is very convenient, too. Not only for the elder members of our clan, but also for carrying groceries to the kitchen which is located on the top floor.
We plan on making several upgrades to the house in the off season. In addition to the normal maintenance things like painting, we intend to replace the living room furniture, add lighting to the pool and outdoor shower area, and add a second outdoor shower area. We will also be adding a second refrigerator, new landscaping, new pool furniture, and flatscreen TVs to the 2 Queen bedrooms.
We are delighted to be able to share this wonderful house with our guests. Our goal is to make this house a place where our guests feel at home, where their expectations are exceeded, and where they want to return year after year.
Owner's Map of Ocean Isle Beach
My wife and I own this house along with my sister, and my wife's two sisters and their husbands. Across the 4 families, we have 6 children -- all boys -- ranging from 8 years to 1 year old. We are all avid sports fans, and represent Bears (Belmont U.), Demon Deacons (Wake Forest), and two breeds of Bulldogs (UGA and Mississipi State). (Please don't hold any of these affiliations against us!) We live in Athens, GA with the others currently residing in Atlanta, Huntsville AL, and Cincinnati.
The house is a place where we can all come together. We hope that our guests enjoy it as much as we do.
