This magnificent custom built home is a year-round lakefront beach house perfectly designed for gatherings of family and friends. With soaring beams reminiscent of the hull of a ship, the impressive living room opens to multiple levels and balconies. The most striking feature of this superbly built house is the living room with its soaring 30-foot ponderosa pine curved custom ceiling beams.
The room features a wood burning stone fireplace that stretches to the ceiling. A massive moose & elk antler chandelier hangs over a 20-foot extendable table. Wrought iron wall sconces surround the room.
The floors are made of porcelain tile and a luxurious inset carpet with borders that encompass the lounge area. Beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows is a magnificent view of the beach. Watch the sun walk across the sky and into beautiful sun sets from the living room.
The outdoor stone patio not only overlooks the beach, but is also outfitted with a gas heater, wood Adirondack chairs and fire pit. It is a relaxing sanctuary for stargazing and a convenient place to roast marshmallows or grill. The beach has endless miles for scenic walks in either direction.
As the sun disappears, the beach can be used for night-time bonfires and easy star-gazing. During the day, the 5 acres provide nature walks on paths. Lake Michigan's clean waters are fun for swimming and water activities for all ages.

Although this was our first time renting a house through HomeAway, we couldn't have been more pleased. The house, the location, the homeowners, and even the weather exceeded our expectations for our much anticipated family reunion. We would recommend this property to anyone! I would also commend the homeowners for anticipating the needs of their guests. The home was spectacular with all possible needs, wants, and desires anticipated and met.

To say that this Lake Michigan home is an ideal place for a family getaway is an understatement. We could not have had a better time. From the card games on the screened porch to the fireside supper on the beach, our eighteen family members had a blast. The house is well thought out for convenient family use. The accommodations were excellent – clean, comfortable, gracious, and functional. The location and view were outstanding.”

My wife and I spent a wonderful week this summer with our our four children and their spouses and our eight grandchildren at your beautiful home. It could not have been more perfect for us. The house is laid out so that even though we had 17 people everyone felt at times like they had it all to themselves. The kitchen is set up perfectly for making large meals. The long dining room table allowed us to all eat together as a family. The beach was absolutely fabulous. We ate lunches there on the picnic tables and the sand bar was out far enough to make it safe for the little ones with their life jackets. Having a fire at night on the stone patio was a true highlight. The house was unbelievably well supplied for everything a vacationer could need. We could not have been more thrilled and pleased with our experience and have unanimously decided, after trying other homes in the area in past years, to make your home our designated summer vacation spot for years to come. Great access to the beach. The home design was excellant that facilitated a large family gathering to enjoy the water as well as meals with a top class kitchen and open dining area inside as well as on the deck. The bedrooms were quiet and accessed an open cathedral area.

We absolutely loved this house. It is a beautiful house with a great beach that feels absolutely private. The house is beautifully decorated, with enough sleeping areas for a large group. The pictures do not do it justice! Every need was anticipated and we couldn't think of any possible improvements that could be made. I would highly recommend this house for a great family or friends weekend away.
