It was a fantastic vacation! We were here for my brother's wedding. My husband and two son's (adults) had a great time! It was great to come home, I was born and raised here. We are looking for a place ourselves. We Love Your Home! Took son's to Paia (where I was born) Makawao, Punerae, Kula (up country), The Neddle, Kennedy head, around the inland Kapalua to Wailuku, Hana, etc. beach, dinner at Leilani, Hula Grill, Honu, Cheese Burger Rest., Lahaina. We left a lot of unopened beverages for the next guest, (in fridge) and more liquor added to your bar, and beer in fridge. We will be back in Feb., 2012!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home! Our stay in this condo was everything we could have wished for. The owners supplied everything we needed to make us feel comfortable and we felt very much at home. They were helpful in answering the many questions we had before arrival as this was our first trip to Maui. The updated decor is elegant and the entire condo was clean and well kept. Even so, we spent a lot of our time on the lanai because of the spectacular views! The totally oceanfront Mahana is the way to go when visiting Maui. We loved coming back to the peace and quiet after daily meetings down the more populated beach areas at the Hyatt. We've passed this listing on to several friends and hope to return ourselves. The restaurants that we particularly enjoyed were The Pineapple Grill, Mama's Fish House, and Mala.

I am so very glad Kathy suggested I look at other Mahana units when hers was booked and unavailable. Your condo is a delightful place to spend a vacation, even "solo" as I did. And once again a vrbo property proved even better than it's listing suggested. Though I didn't take advantage of the stocked stash of booze, my "pay it forward" should make brewing tea easier for your future guests. Mahalo and Aloha.

We had an amazing visit to Maui celebrating our 30th year of marriage. We loved snorkeling right in front of Dukes, better than Black Rock. Loved dinner at Mama's and Merrimens! The condo is beautiful, we even bought alcohol and really stocked the bar up (there was one partial bottle of Jack). We also left coffee filters and laundry soap. It was great being able to get a late check out with a 9pm flight. The weather was beautiful every day. We will be back. Thanks again - loved your condo!

Mahalo for letting us stay while we toured Maui and renewed our vows for our 30th wedding anniversary. What a perfect setting! Before we knew it, we were calling the condo "home". Each day we breakfasted on the lanai to begin and ended with wine and candlelight for dinner. We absolutely love the beaches and the kindness of the people we met. We'll never forget the rainbows, dolphins and turtles we saw from the lanai. We found the setting so quiet and private, we felt like we were on our own private island. Thank you for the beautiful flowers. We enjoyed staying in your condo celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. The views were amazing. We had a great time. The road to Hana was beautiful, snorkeling with the Trilogy, helicopter tour of the island and Old Lahaina Luau were highlights to our trip. We enjoyed Mama's Fish House, Duke's next door, Leilani's, Bubba Gump's and the pizza place just across the street has the best pizza. Your condo was truly a home away from home. Thanks again. We LOVED your home! The views were "SPECTACULAR"! What a great location. We even saw a pod of 25+ dolphins close to shore while relaxing on the lanai one afternoon. We were thrilled the moment we discovered your unit online and even more thrilled when we saw it in person. We could not ask for a better home away from home. You provide anything and everything we could need during our stay. We will most definitely stay here again because the views alone are worth it! PS. Aloha! This is our 8th trip to Hawaii and the 5th time at the Mahana, this real unique place, where we would like to stay all over the year {:>D Last year we survived the tsunami in 2010 and so we returned to this beautiful place {:>D This year we missed the wind door but had a lot of fun with the so-called Hula-Dancing-Pot (the big silver-colored pot which was "dancing" on the oven when we cooked pasta). Thank you for sharing your lovely condo with us. It is so tastefully decorated. It is, however, the very first time we rented a condo that didn't include beach towels and laundry soap for at least a couple loads of wash. Detergent is just too heavy to buy and carry with all of the weight restrictions by the airlines. We were very comfortable and felt right at home from the time we walked through the door. Our absolute favorite is the lanai. We had breakfast out there every morning and sometimes dinner if we ate here. When we walked through the door, we felt we left all of the high rises and business and hustleness behind and entered into our own world of peace and tranquility. Mahalo and God Bless.

Dear Carrie and Russ - We love your condo. It is the best equipped we have ever stayed in!! I first came to Hawaii in 1961 attending summer school at the University of Hawaii. Hula Dancing transferred to the U of Texas as PE. I met my husband in medical school and when he served in Vietnam we met in Hawaii for R&R. This is my 12th trip to Hawaii and his 11th. We will tell our friends to stay here in your unit. Views and whales are amazing from the windows!

Dear Russ and Carrie - Mahalo! For the wonderful relaxing month in your condo home. Never in our travels have we stayed in a place which has everything that we love in a holiday! Being close to the ocean, falling asleep listening to the waves, miles of beach for walking, great snorkeling, spectacular views from every window, walking distance to a great meal, glass of wine, or coffee, with friendly people. We spent many nights watching the stars with a glass of wine on the lanai. All the special touches in your condo truly make it feel like a home. Russ and Carrie - Your condo is lovely, even on a few bad weather days. Just sitting on the deck or looking out the windows was enjoyable - saw a few whales sitting (resting) out front one night. The deck is great. We had some really windy days but we could sit on the deck which was well protected; good sun bathing as well in the afternoon. It's always hard to pack and go home but we will be back. Seattle, WA.

Sitting here, looking out over the ocean says it all. It's just spectacular. A glimpse of a whale every now and then and then the torment of waiting for it to reappear. We could have so easily spent more of our time doing this. Really enjoyed the Hana trip with Valley Isle Excursions, saw some turtles and whales on the snorkeling trip to Molokai & Turtle Arches with Pacific Whale Foundation and the Ulalena (sp?) Show is well worth it. The apartment has everything you could possibly want. Will happily recommend it to our friends. - Canberra, Australia

Staying in this condo was one of the highlights of our trip to Maui. We rented this from Carrie, and even before we got to Maui she was responsive and helpful in answering my questions (this was my first time going through VRBO, and I was very nervous, and so had quite a list). The condo was clean and modern and beautifully decorated (the pictures, as nice as they are, do not do it justice!), and the location was ideal, right on the oceanfront in front of a very pretty beach, and near most of the best beaches for swimming and snorkeling in Maui. There were days I did not want to leave, would rather have stayed on the balcony watching and listening to the waves come in, the whales swimming in the distance, all the colors of the water (it was so clear most of the time that from the balcony you could see all the way down to the coral). The condo was equipped with all the basic amenities, as well as a few others we were pleasantly surprised by, and there was a grocery store just across the street (though we did most of our shopping at the Farmer's Market Maui, which was a few minutes down the street). Carrie was warm and gracious in all our interactions. I can't recommend this condo highly enough; I wouldn't stay anywhere else the next time I come to Maui.

"IT WAS AWESOME" The service was very good. Everything was in place and neatly arranged. The owners have put a lot of effort in making this condo a beautiful place to live with your loved ones. The view from the condo is so beautiful and you can see the sunset right from the patio. I liked the location of the condo because it is close to the Lahaina harbor which is the happening place. I would definitely stay in the same condo whenever I visit Maui again.

We stayed in this condo in November 2009 for 7 days and we rented it from Russ and Carrie. I will definitely recommend this condo to everyone. It has an awesome view and everything in this condo is neatly arranged and they have everything in the condo what a family would need to live for a week or more than that. I will give 4.5/5.0 . The owners are very nice people as I have spoken to Carrie a couple of times.The condo has a personal touch to it . Since we went for our first wedding anniversary the owners made sure that they had a bouquet of flowers (Hawaiian flowers) in the condo to welcome us.

We stayed in this unit in May when it was part of the Aston rental program. It was one of the nicest units we viewed dring our 15 night stay. The kitchen could have been better equipped, but I think that was an Aston thing.
