This condo was in the perfect location, much more affordable than hotels in a similar area, and it really was steps from Pike Place Market! My boyfriend and I were there visiting Seattle for the first time and loved coming home to this condo. The bed it really comfy. We did not have a car, and it was no problem taking public transportation from the airport to downtown (link light rail was $2.50/ride, took ~35 minutes) and then a taxi to the condo (there was a free bus we could have used too). We walked to restaurants and sight-seeing. It was also easy to catch the bus to and from the medical center for my medical residency interview. Check-in was quick, we just called Shannon and she could buzz us into the building. There was even a bottle of wine upon arrival- that was a nice touch. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend this place to others! Thanks for everything Shannon. Best wishes, Carolyn
Owner response:Carolyn~ Thanks for the kind words and I am so glad to hear you had such a wonderful experience in our beautiful city! We look forward to your next visit. Until then~ Shannon

We enjoyed the condo for our Christmas visit with family and friends! The Boeing assembly plant and Pike Place Market food tours were very worthwhile. Ferry ride to Bainbridge Island and walking Winslow was quite pleasant. Outstanding visit with family and friends....and the condo location and amenities were thoroughly appreciated!

What a wonderful home to have for a homebase. We really enjoyed coming back, lighting a fire and drinking a glass of wine. Everything was so comfortable and homey. The pictures on the ad do not do your home justice!

Shannon~ Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful condo for our romantic weekend trip. We had a wonderful time during our first trip to Seattle. We will definitely be back to spend more time here! We spent 2 full days sightseeing and shopping. On our 1st day, we took the ferry to Bainbridge Island. On our way to the ferry, we stopped at the waterfront park and for lunch at Ivar's Acres of Clams. We ordered salmon....it was devine! While on the ferry, we took some great pictures of the sound and Seattle skyline. On the island, we did the walking wine tour and visted several of the shops. We especially enjoyed Eleven Winery and the local bead shop. For dinner we visited Highway 99 Blues. We would not recommend the food, but we really enjoyed the music. On our 2nd day. we visited the market early. We felt a sense of accomplishment at making it up the Hillclimb. What a workout! We especially enjoyed shopping at the World Spice Market along the way. Also, we were pleased to find a vendor in the market who was able to pack up a box of chanterelles we can take home with us! The flowers were glorious, and we would have bought a bouquet if we were staying longer. We hiked up to 3rd and Virginia to Serious Pie for lunch. Yummy! We stopped off at several shops and the Pike Brewery for a brew on our way back to the condo. For dinner Saturday, we took a cab and went to the Stumbling Goat. It's a $17 cab ride but the meal was well worth it! The location of the condo was perfect for sightseeing in the downtown area. We could have spent another 4 days and would not have seen everything the area has to offer. We appreciated that we had all we needed to feel at home. Thanks again for your hospitality!

Thanks for providing such a lovely and comfortable home. Our girls love your "hotel-house". We loved the location! To come from such a long drive and be able to walk to such great tourist spots that a 2 and 4 year old could only enjoy was a real blessing. We hope to be back for an adult weekend as well. P.S. DSo grateful for the ITunes!

Thank you for the seamless accommodations. This was our first trip with our 3 month old infant and we couldn't have asked for a better proximity to everything! We were on foot with a stroller for the 5 day stay and were able to see much of Seattle's highlights. The condo was far more superior to a hotel and allowed us to keep our little one on her nighttime schedule by cooking seasonal dishes here or getting take-out from the delicious restaurant, Pink Door. We also loved your collection of IPod Tunes!

Shannon~ We had an amazing time in Seattle. We love to explore cities on foot and the location at your condo allowed us to do that brilliantly....even with a 3-year old in tow. We loved the aquarium, Seattle Center, the Children's Museum was a huge hit. Pike Place and the Carousel at Miner's Landing....and the zoo! As for food...serious pie on Virginia, Dahlia's Bakery, Blue C Sushi...great for kids and were all places we would visit again. Thanks for having us!

Thank you thank you! We had such a wonderful visit to the waterfront! We have been to Seattle many times but this was our favorite. We loved walks up to the market for treats at La Panier and bought yummy fish and pasta to cook for dinner. What a treat! We also had a great time at the EMP, loved the Hubble Imax film and had a blast on the duck tour. We will certainly hope to come back and stay here again and we will definitely recommend it to our friends and family.

Day1: Shopping! So good to check out a new city. I must have walked for 100 blocks! Pike Market is crazy fun. Off to the pub for some food and then hopefully a late night club. Day 2: A well-rested day. First Avenue is where it's at for late night activities. Had a massage and ate pretty good today. Day 3: Sightseeing! Space Neelde, explore music and sci-fi stuff. Queen Anne Hill for the yuppie in me:) Nordstroms!! Grabbed some great deals and then sushi and saki...yum! Thanks for the loaner of the great condo. Superb location and I got a great feel for Seattle. Heading out to the Hendrix statue and the Lakeview Cemetary to see the Lee's site.

Shannon and Scott~ Spending time in your condo has made us decide to abandon the house and move to a like place! We enjoyed your well-appointed condo--the proximity to the market--the good cooking arrangement. 2 lunches at Matt's in the Market--excellent ham tender--fresh fish from the city fish market---eggs with foie gras at Cafe Campagne--oysters and chips at Ivar's--the contemporary art museum....all within walking distance. We loved it!!

(Visited September 10 - 16, 2009) Shannon & Scott, Lee and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Seattle owing in large part to your gracious hospitality and this especially convenient, sweet place by the Bay. Thank you so much for the stay and for being so thoughtful in your accommodations. TIP: If you have a care (or not), take the hiking loop through the meadow & forest at Discovery Park :)

(Visited September 16 - 18, 2009) Spent 2 days on Harley rentals touring the area on day trips - how wonderful to come back after a long day of riding to such a comfortable home. Normally we would stay on the road, but changed it up this time - and thankfully so.....the Jacuzzi tub was wonderful! For any bikers or car travellers looking for fantastic scenery & roads you should check out #2 from Monroe to Leavenworth (make sure to take some time for the town - Swiss Alp type town) - head down 97 to Canyon Creek home. You won't be disappointed. Thank you again Shannon for such a great place to stay. I will definitely be recommending to friends and family. Happy Riding!

It was so amazing that part of us wanted to just stay inside to enjoy the place instead of touring the city. Thanks for setting everything up so beautifully! I will highly recommend this place to all of my friends and family!

(Visited November 19 - 22, 2009) What a great place to stay - such an easy walk to so many things. Our boys loved it - the Aquarium, the Space Needle, the Science Museum, and yes, we rode the Duck too. Dinner this evening was at the Crab Pot on the waterfront. Our 4 yr old & nearly 6 yr old didn't eat much crab, but they sure loved whacking it with the little wooden mallets! Off to the zoo tomorrow morning then back home to Portland on the train. Thanks!

(Visited November 7 - 18, 2009) I stayed here at this wonderful waterfront condo while recuperating from donating a kidney at Swedish Medical Center. I couldn't have selected a better place. It was truly as if it was "meant to be." I'd hoped for some place cozy & peaceful during what I knew would be a challenging time with pain & whatnot. It delivered that plus much more. The view & the various activities within close proximity inspired me to get up & outside for short walks, which was just what the doctor had encouraged me to do. Scott & Shannon were both such a delight to work with. They truly went above & beyond my expectations. Just a side note......Donate and organ - it's an amazing experience!!

(Visited November 26 - 29, 2009) Thank you Scott & Shannon for opening up your 2nd home & enabling so many people to enjoy Belltown! I'm a bit different, as Seattle is my "home" though I currently work & live in Portland, OR. My family & friends thought I was crazy for renting a place as I've always stayed with them before - but after they visited me here, they changed their minds :) Staying here smack dab in Belltwon allowed me to see & experience things I had never seen before! Early morning runs along Elliott Bay Trail (highly recommended) & evening strolls. A few recommendations for future visitors: Food: Maximillina's (at Pike Place Market) - Yum!, Ivar's (of course, as Seattle institution), the first Starbucks (a must-visit) Run: head toward the mountains, North along the water and hit the Elliot Bay Trail - you will NOT be disappointed....the view is amazing. Stores: Pike Place Market, Ye Olde Curiosity Shop (where else can you see 2 mummies & an 8 legged pig?), Pacific Place My dog, Jet, enjoyed his stay & we look forward to our next visit!!

(Visited July 11-15 2009) "Wow" - Quoted from my 5 year old daughter as we walked in the door. We all thought the same thing. What a great place. July 12 - we went to Pike Place Market early in the morning & had lots of treats, and of course hot chocolate from the Original Starbucks. Walked down to Safeco Field and watched the Mariners beat Texas. Stopped by Ivar's for fish-n-chips. July 13 - "Wow" another great day. We took the monorail to the Needle & went to the children's museum. Our girls had so much fun! We did the "Duck" tour, and I was a little hesitant going into the water. But what an amazing ride. Ended the day at the Spaghetti Factory for dinner. July 14 - We went to see the salmon swim up the ladder at the Ballard Locks - that was neato. Then we went & hung out at the zoo. We end the trip munching on hot fresh doughnuts, raspberries, & blueberries! What a great morning, what a great trip, what a great place. Thank you!!

(Visited August 17 - 21) First, thanks for being such gracious hosts and providing such a welcoming home away from home with all the little extras. Our 1st stay in Seattle was a great experience. Of course we were not able to do it all - but we did most of what we wanted to do. The 107 steps up to Pike Place Market seemed the most efficient way to go. Free buses did the rest. Your location is central to so much......and so nice to return to. Thanks!

(Visited September 7 - 10, 2009) Shannon and Scott, Thanks so very much for the use of your thoughtfully appointed and generously stocked condo. This was our 4th visitg to the beautiful city of Seattle and our fantasies of moving here for good were nurtured by the hominess and personalized decor of our surroundings. We particularly enjoyed being able to shop at the market for groceries and prepare our own, locally grown fiest in the kitchen. We will certainly be back soon!
