This penthouse provides fantastic location, comfort, and views. While my wife and I have traveled to Quito many times, our four-night stay at Sergio’s penthouse made this particular trip memorable. The location is central and offers easy access to shopping, dinning, and entertainment. It is also within easy access to parks and to cultural and historic sites. Further, the penthouse offers all the comforts of home, making it truly a home away from home. In addition, Sergio’s professional demeanor and approach enhanced the entire renting experience and made the whole process seamless. As well, Carmen (the penthouse manager) is very personable, displaying a welcoming attitude at all times. I would not hesitate to recommend Sergio’s place to anyone and I look forward to renting it again in our next family visit to Quito.

We have just completed a 4-day stay in this lovely apartment. Sergio was very prompt in all communication when booking the apartment. Carmen met us promptly, as arranged, to provide an orientation of the apartment. The apartment is safe with friendly security staff at the entrance. It is well located in a nice area of Quito, close to good restaurants and walking distance to two of the better shopping centres. Taxi to the Colonoial Quito is around $6. The apartment is very spacious and bright with incredible views of Quito. The terrace is very large. The apartment is nicely furnished and equipped with everything one needs to cook, do laundry, or just relax. The beds are comfortable. The fresh flowers on the table in the entry were a welcome sight! Thank you, Sergio, for the use of your lovely apartment.
Owner response:Thank you Maureen for your fine review, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay in my apartment and got to taste the excellent gastronomy many nearby restaurants have to offer. Thank you and please come back again.

This an excellent apartment which has everything you could wish for and more besides. It is very spacious - having so much room after being in hotels was real luxury. Having travelled for three weeks the excellent washing and drying facilities were much appreciated. The owner was extremely helpful and understanding. It was wonderfully relaxing to sit on the terrace and view the city lights in the evening.

The hospitality of the owner, Sergio, and the warmth and personal attention of the manager, Carmen, cannot be overstated. We felt totally welcome and at ease. Lovely penthouse with amazing views. We lingered around the dining room table, watching the city lights blink on one after the other. In the mornings we got up early to catch glimpses of the Pichincha volcano before the cloud covers set in. Normal city traffic noises, but a quiet apartment nonetheless - the single neighbor at this level was either not there or just very quiet - we had a delightful time!

We just spent 3 nights at this great penthouse apartment. The agreement & reservation with the owner was handled very professionally & was easy. Jose met us at the airport. He was in very good spirits although our arrival was 3 hours late! Carmen (and Victor) welcomed us to the apartment with a thorough explanation of all the amenities, wi fi, t.v. locks, etc. The apartment was clean, bright, well-equipped with anything you might need. The beds were comfortable, the laundry facilities were great, and the views magnificent! The next time we are in Quito for more than an overnight, this will be our place to stay. Thank you!
Owner response:Greetings Gina and Daniel. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Come back any time.

We loved our 5-night stay in this apartment. The hostess Carmen was great and the house had everything we needed and more! It was extremely clean and well laid-out with gorgeous views day and night. We have twins who love airplanes and they had a great time watching the planes fly overhead on the balcony. We also loved the proximity to Parque Carolina where there are tons of things for kids to play on and nice open space for adults, too. There's a grocery store and mall about 3 blocks away so it was easy to pick up groceries or anything we needed. Overall this was a fantastic place and we'd gladly stay there again.
Owner response:Thank you Kathleen and Juan Carlos for your fine review. I'm pleased you and your family enjoyed your stay. You are more than welcome to come back any time.

This penthouse is fabulous. It has a complete wrap-around terrace to take pictures of the entire area. In addition, the PH is one floor from the roof of the bldg which gives you a 360 degree view of the city. This PH is advertised as a 3 BR & 3 Bath, but actually with the maid quarter there is 4 BRs and 4 Baths including full laundry facilities, with kitchen and separate living room. All 3 BRs have TVs with a parental control of 1944 for access. The owner of this unit is extremely responsive by e-mail to any request of information, keys, access codes, etc. The owner has personal driver recommendations for day trips if you plan trips of 2 hours or more from Quito. For any side trips of 1 hour or less, I recommend using a taxi for about $15 each way. We paid $6 to and from the airport at night, but the taxi meters were $2.50 or less during the day. I recommend negotiating with the driver a price you'll pay and have a map to show him/her where you would like to go if you aren't fluent in Spanish. This apartment PH is across the stree from La Rhonda Restaurante, which most taxi drivers knew. There is also a La Rhonda section within Old Town district and so make sure the taxi driver is not taking you there instead. This PH is located centrally within a $1-$3 taxi ride of everything you want to see in Quito. It's only a $15 taxi fare to the Equator monuments. This PH is located in an upscale area where one doesn't need to be afraid of security. Walking with 2 people wherever you go in this area and/or taking taxis at night allows you to see any area of the La Mariscal district of Quito at night without worries. The PH is extremely well maintained and has a local maid available if you'd like service while you are there. The maid will also make meals for your family for a fee, if you would like that. The PH is located 3 blocks from the Marriott motel, which was extremely helpful with their Business Center and ATMs. This PH is fully equipped with wireless internet with a provided password upon arrival. This PH has all the amenities of home and anything you need is one e-mail response from the owner away. I knew going in that my wife would not enjoy the Ecuadorian experience if I didn't book top notch accomodations and she was very pleased with everything. Thanks Sergio for making this stay extremely pleasant for my entire family.
Owner response:Thank you Don for your fine review. It was my pleasure having you and your family as my guests and I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay in my penthouse as much as all my other guests have. You're right, this home is extremely well located- near everything, peaceful and in a safe neighborhood which is essential for a traveler who wants to get the most out of Quito and its many points of interest outside of it. Please do come back any time.

The apartment was spacious, pleasant, and exuded a nice feeling. It suited the 4 of us (a married couple with their 2 adult children) perfectly. There was a tv set in each individual room (although we did not come to Quito to primarily watch tv), and bathrooms plenty to ensure everybody was individually catered for. We had stunning views of the city and mountains from the living room (view to the south - Old town and El Panecillo hill in the distance), dining room (view to the west - Modern Quito and Teleferico in the distance), kitchen (with views same as dining room), laundry room (with views same as dining room plus more of northern Quito), and huge balcony (with views of south, west, and partial views of east and north). The big kitchen where we spent a good amount of time as a family was stunning, and was one of our favorite areas. We were agreeably surprised to find that the owner paid attention to little details discussed via email to further make us enjoy our visit to Quito, things like providing umbrellas and hats to protect us against the quite particular weather of Quito, bottled water in case we did not want to drink from the tap, and maps and reading material to start us on our discovery of Quito.
Owner response:Dear Herve and Lily, It was my pleasure having you and your daughters Karen and Natasha as my guests, and I'm very pleased you enjoyed the comfort and amenities of this spacious home. Thank you for your review, it encourages me to keep up the good work and to provide my guests with the best kind of accommodation there is. Nothing better than a home away from home. Please come back anytime.

This penthouse is the perfect place to stay in Quito. It is spacious, fully equipped, and has beautiful mountain and city views day/night. We received a very warm and gracious welcome from Carmen and her daughter, Maria, upon our arrival at midnight! The property is well maintained and the customer service is first rate. We even were able to have birthday dinner prepared in our kitchen for my husband by our wonderful greeters. The restaurant across the street is lively and the food and service very good. A live in experience in the penthouse is very enjoyable and rewarding. Dick, Anne, David Olson

A group of us couldn't ask for a better place than this. It was simply amazing! The place was kept so clean and everything we wanted was in the penthouse. At one point, we didn't even felt like going on the tour. Just wanted to lay back and do nothing! the view was great. there were books on tours, and there's even a tour agency right next to the penthouse. Very close to JW Marriott, Burger King, Crepes and Waffles (highly recommend). 2 dollars taxi to Plaza forge which was great for partying or even drinks. In short, great great penthouse. would definitely come back rather than a hotel. :)

My wife, three daughters (8,10, and 12), and I stayed at Sergio's penthouse for three nights during the week of Thanksgiving. The Penthouse was perfect! It has a great view of Quito and the mountains - especially from the large terrace. It is very convenient to almost everything and cabs are easy to catch and very inexpensive to most areas of the city - we never paid more than $6.00. Carmen, Sergio's caretaker for the Penthouse is wonderful and took great care of us while we were there. Our flight did not arrive until midnight, and she was waiting for us when we got to the Condo building at 1:00AM to let us in and answer any questions. The best part of staying here was Sergio's incredible willingness to help us prior to arriving. After speaking with him about our travel plans while in Ecuador, he suggested that we hire a driver that he knew to drive us around the country as opposed to renting a car. I have rented cars in many central and south american countries on other vacations, but I decided to take his advice. Not only was it a great experience, but was far easier and actually less expensive than renting a car. I would HIGHLY recommend having Sergio help arrange this for you if you decide to stay at his place. No matter what questions I had or information I needed, Sergio always got back to me very quickly with the information. I should mention that we only planned on staying in his Penthouse for three nights and he still went out of his way to help us. When traveling in a foreign country, especially with children, I have found that a condo or house is comforting to everyone as opposed to a hotel. The extra space, kitchen, laundry, etc. makes all of us feel grounded and like we are at home. Sergio's place was perfect for us and I would recommend it to anyone - especially families.
Owner response:Thank you Benning for your kind words. It was my pleasure having you and your family as my guests. It is wonderful to know you had a great time in Ecuador and enjoyed your stay in my penthouse. Please come back any time, your home away from home will be waiting for you.

This penthouse was a pleasure to stay in, very well looked after and very nice furniture. The views over the city are interesting and it is in a great position for getting around Quito. Carmen is fantastic, she was there to meet us although it was late when we arrived. She and her daughter Maria came every morning to make us breakfast and believe me this is something you should not miss. The only reason we will not return to this penthouse is that my wife struggled with the altitude, other wise we would book again for next year. We recommend this penthouse without reservation and Sergio is a very helpful gentalman. Kind regards, J H Bragg

This was a great flat for our family - spacious and comfortable with everything you need. The kitchen is huge and well-stocked. We had an adventure baking in high altitudes! The building is safe, and close to everything (you can walk to the shopping mall or the supermarket easily, and there's a good restaurant right across the street with live music). We had our 2 year old granddaughter with us and this apartment provided the best space for her to roam around and easy to get to the park or the toy store from the flat! She especially liked the whirlpool bathtub. The views from the dining room and kitchen are of Quito's gorgeous mountains rising from sides of the city. From the terrace you can look down on the bustling city. You also look down on a health club/gym right next to the apartment building, but I did not check it out this time. Thank you for such a wonderful stay - next time we return to see our family in Ecuador, we hope to book this apartment again.

We stayed for five nights in August at Sergio's apartment and it met all of our expectations. Spacious with ample room for our family of five and wonderful views. We particularly enjoyed being a few blocks from Carolina Park for morning running (skate park too). The immediate location is a bit commercial but it is in close proximity to the Mindalae Craft Museum (Mariscol) and good restaurants. Easy cab rides to all parts of town. Sergio was really helpful and welcoming.

We had a wonderful 3 week stay at Sergio's apartment. He was a great host, very responsive. All of our needs were met immediately. The apartment is fully equipped, including the kitchen and bedrooms. Lots of bed linens and towels. When we arrived the apartment was spotless and Sergio was there to receive us, even though we arrived almost at 1:00am. The apartment is also centrally located and very close to all the important places in Quito. Including the colonial downtown. The apartment has beautiful views of the city, including the majestic Pichincha. We highly recommend it for your stay in Quito. One last thing, it has an excellent Wifi internet connection, perfect for those skype calls, much better than most hotels I have stayed.
Owner response:Thank you Carlos for sharing your experience and for your wonderful comments. Knowing I would be returning to Quito for dental work in July I decided to rent a condo instead of staying in a hotel. I figured a couple of people may be coming with me so I went to work on options available. I found this advertisement and went ahead and booked it. It truly exceeded our expectations. It was so nice to return to such a wonderful accommodating place after dealing with "the torture chamber", as I call it. We felt so at home and everything anyone could ever need was at your touch or within walking distance. The owner happened to be in town and I can't say enough about how wonderful he was to us. We appreciated his company and help so much. IF you really want to be in a great location and a great place, then this is the one for you and your companions. What a nice experience. Thank you again, Sergio..............Don and Carole

If you are traveling to Quito, this is definitely where you need to stay! Sergio is AWESOME! His place is beautiful, comfortable, and secure. And the view is SPECTACULAR! Everything you need for a relaxing stay is already there. Comfortable beds, TV's in all the bedrooms, washer/dryer, plenty of towels and sheets, iron and ironing board, wireless internet, etc. Sergio personally made sure we were happy and content. Definitely say 'yes' to having breakfast prepared. It is a delightful and delicious way to start the morning. Fruits, eggs, breads, juices, bacon, sausages, coffee, and more.... Made to order and beautifully presented. Yum! The location is perfect. Close to the airport, the Marriott, and the artisan market. All the taxi drivers were familiar with the building, which really helped us get around town. We give Sergio's penthouse our highest recommendation. We will DEFINITELY stay there when we return to Quito. You should too!
Owner response:Dear Jennel, thank you so much for this wonderful review. I am always so thrilled to hear that our guests love this apartment as much as we do. I just wanted to write a quick review and praise this apartment! Sergio, his wife and his sister have been wonderful help to my family. We took a short 3 day trip to Quito and couldnt have asked for more. This apartment is very clean and large. My fiance was able to meet Sergio, the owner, in person and felt he was a great person. The building is very secure and I never once did not feel safe. Quito is a wonderful city full of culture. When I return to Quito I plan to stay here again! Thank you Sergio and Nelly! I look forward to staying with you again, Kathy and Pablo P.S. Best breakfast I had in my entire trip to ecuador!

Thank you Sergio for making our trip to Quito such a successful one. We enjoyed your penthouse so much. We had a group of four adults traveling together and your place was wonderful because it gave us spacious room and privacy, yet a wonderful common area to gather and have fun. The location seemed perfect for grabbing a cab to go anywhere and we even ventured out on our own and walked to Plaza Foch from there. I look forward to the next time I am able to make another trip down to Ecuador and I hope we are able to again have your property be our home away from home. Many thanks.
Owner response:Please do come back Rhonda and thank you for your kind words. We appreciate the feedback that we receive from our Guests. My daughter had finished her semester abroad in Quito, so my husband and other two adult children and I went on vacation for Christmas to Ecuador. The penthouse was the perfect retreat. Once, while the kids went out salsa dancing in La Mariscal, my husband and I had dinner at Rincon La Ronda Restaurant directly across the street. While we spoke no English, they were able to place our orders, had the best meal and drinks ever and listened to an Ecuadorian band!! We took day trips to El Panecillo and, again, had a wonderful meal at Pim’s Restaurant located near the statue, overlooking Old Quito. Teleferico was also just an easy taxi ride away…well, to see them drive up vertical streets in Ecuador looks anything but easy, but they do it! We then were driven to Baños for another leg of our trip, which was also gorgeous, but my children enjoyed the city lifestyle better! We wished we had stayed at the penthouse the whole time. Coming back from a busy day with a bottle of wine from the local liquor store and sitting on the rooftop deck was the highlight of our trip! The security guard was on duty 24/7 - and that was perfect for us - as the kids came back from partying all hours of the night!! I can't say enough about the penthouse or its location. While we didn't utilize the housekeeper, we did enjoy the fact that she went shopping for us before our visit and bought some staples. Just having a cup of tea and coffee in the morning, again while we enjoyed the scenery, started each day off right. I give Sergio’s apartment, and his attentiveness before, during, and after my trip, my highest recommendation.
Owner response:Thank you Deb for sharing your vacation adventures with us. My wife and I really appreciate our guests taking the time to share their experiences and it is always nice to hear that others enjoy our penthouse, Quito itself, and all of it’s beautiful surroundings as much as we do. The apartment indeed lends itself to an inviting environment that provides both tranquility and exceptional views of the city and mountains. Enjoy the most traditional and diverse flavours of Ecuadorean and international gastronomy at the many nearby restaurants and of course, we highly recommend you try our Susana’s exceptional breakfasts. Come to Quito the Center of the World, come to our penthouse where you’re more than a business transaction.

My husband and 2 daughters 15 and 13 stayed in Quito from December 1-9 in this beautiful penthouse. The views are amazing, actually you can see one of the volcanos from the dinning room. The penthouse in centrally located, near everything and the neighborhood is very safe. I never met Sergio (the owner) but all it took was small conversation over the phone for him to gain my trust. He is extremely helpful and communicated back and forth with us with all the details and answered questions I had. He went as far as having bottle water ready for us upon arrival. I recommend paying the extra fee for Suzana the housekeeper, she makes the mos incredible breakfasts, every morning we woke up to the amazing aroma of Suzana's made coffee. I would recommend this place without hesitation.
Owner response:Thank you Adriana for your kind words. I'm glad You and Christian, and your daughters enjoyed your stay in our penthouse. My wife Nelly and I work firmly to make our customers feel relaxed and comfortable, and it is our pleasure to help our guests with whatever their needs may be. And you're right, Susana does cook great breakfasts, and the aroma of fresh ecuadorean coffee is just what you want to wake up to every morning. I'm glad you enjoyed the unobstructed and beautiful views of the city and the Andes mountains. We are looking forward to welcoming you and your family next year.

The condo was even better than the photo's can describe, very spacious, clean, amazing views and generally an excellent place to start your vacation due to the ease of the location. Our taxi ride for our group from the airport was flawless because the owner Sergio sends great directions. The proximity to the red trole line makes it very easy to choose your own adventure through out the city. Also, "new town" is right near by which offers an abundance of dining/cuisine options. However, Susana cooks great breakfast and is not to be missed. We definitely loved staying there and highly recommend it!

This condo is exactly as displayed on the website. We rented a car and having a garage at the condo was excellent. We were also able to walk to Carolina Park which was a great park for daily walks. Thanks Sergio.

The Apt was exactly how you see it in the pictures. My family and I had a wonderful time. The property is very secured with Security and the scenery is breath taking. My family stayed for about two weeks and it was so worth it.

Great place. Exactly as described. Great location, close to everything. Our family of six stayed one full month at this wonderful penthouse with a beautiful and unobstructed view of the Pichincha volcano and the city. We truly enjoyed the big terrace. This place is really a home away from home.

I had the chance to see this great penthouse apartment before renting it to host some guests from the US. I knew this was the right place to rent as soon as I walked in. The apartment is in spacious, and has 3 comfortable and clean rooms. It has great views of Quito and the Pichincha volcano. It has a great terrace with a barbecue. The location couldn't be better, walking distance to La Mariscal (for restaurants, nightlife and entertainment), La Carolina park, and a shopping mall. It's just down the street from all the great restaurants that line Isabel La Catolica and Whymper streets. We decided to include the maid service. We had delicious breakfasts and lunches every day, and she helped with all the shopping. All in a all a great experience. We're definitely recommending it to all our friends who come to visit us in the future.
Owner response:Thank you for taking the time to write a review, It was our pleasure to have you as our guests!

We began our visit to Ecuador by staying at this beautiful, modern penthouse apartment. Everything about it was perfect; the location, the apartment itself, the pre-arrival communications with the owner, and the introduction to the rental by his agent on-site. The building is ultra-modern with 24-hour security. The permanent residents were friendly and upscale. The owner even helped us arrange for a van to rent once we were leaving Quito, something I had trouble doing myself. We found Quito to be vibrant and easy to negotiate. We especially were impressed with the parks, the botanical gardens and the incredible anthropology museum. One would be silly to stay elsewhere in Quito!
