This 14th floor, 1-bedroom condo is in the condominium complex called Marbella del Caribe right on Puerto Rico's Isla Verde beach, noted to be the best beach in San Juan. The apartment is immaculately clean and has plenty of cooking utensils, linens and beach towels. There is a flat-screen HD TV in the living room and a second TV in the bedroom. In addition, there is a washer/dryer right in the apartment.
Located in the heart of the Isla Verde tourist area, we are surrounded by restaurants, shopping and the fabulous El San Juan Hotel and Casino, as well as the Intercontinental Hotel, The Ritz Carlton Hotel and the Embassy Suites. Water sports, including jet skis, banana boats and parasailing, are available right on our beach in front of the EJS Towers. The complex offers 24-hour security, beach access, and beautiful, private grounds that include a swimming pool, tennis court, volleyball/basketball court, playground, picnic tables and barbecues. The apartment has its own private parking space on the premises. The complex also has a mini market that offers breakfast and lunch daily. There is a bus stop right in front of the building and in walking distance (2 blocks) is the elegant El San Juan Hotel and Casino, as well as three other hotels/casinos. There is a vast array of restaurants from casual to formal within a few short blocks. There are several supermarkets, numerous souvenir shops, Charlie Car Rental and a Walgreens that is open 24 hours and has just about everything one could need from food, to beauty supplies, to beach gear. In addition, we are about 5 minutes from San Juan's International Airport: Luis Munos Marin Airport and only 15 minutes away from Condado and 20 minutes from Old San Juan. Demand for existing three units was overwhelming. Kept turning away potential renters due to lack of availability. I knew it was time to add another unit.

We stayed at the condo in Isla Verde in August. So it was quite hot and humid, but the pool was very refreshing! The pool was awesome, and we spent a lot of time there. The condo is bright and cherry and very comfortable, and the view every morning was amazing! The down side to the stay was the locks and keys. You had to have a key to access everything, the building, the pool and the ocean.I spent a lot of time worrying about the keys because it was a steep fee to replace them. The Isla Verde area is quite filled with everything you need to enjoy your stay and you can walk to everything, casinos, restaurants and supermarket! The casinos are all within walking distance also and they have the unique style of serving food at the tables! The owner was very efficient with everything, handling the transaction and addressing any issues that came up. Overall I would rate the condo and the experience( with the exception of the keys) a 10 out of 10.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

The good: Clean apartment, acceptably appointed, kitchen was well stocked with plates, glasses, pots/pans, implements! Location (we didn't need a car) easy walk to restaurants, hotels and grocery stores (use the Pueblo! not the Grande, the Walgreens in a pinch for liquids) and taxi's were easy to get on the street and not that expensive to ride to Old San Juan. Free trolley to take you around Old San Juan! Excellent beach, warm water, soft sand (scan water from apartment to determine where ocean current deposits the seaweed that day and adjust where you put your stuff, we only needed to move once). Owner easy/excellent to deal with. The average: pool isn't heated, which wasn't a problem most days, but was a bit chilly in the morning. Tennis court is a bit cracked up, but we still had fun. The Bad: nothing! We stayed in a different unit (2 bedroom) in the same building from the same owner. We'd definitely stay here again.
