Why the Owner Chose Scottsboro
Our family was looking for a retreat for the weekends and we fell in love with this property. There is nothing more relaxing than enjoying morning coffee on the back porch or a glass of wine in the afternoon on the deck of the boathouse.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The fishing in this area is some of the best anywhere, whether you are fishing for bream or crappie with kids off the dock or if you move out to the creek channels for great bass fishing. The water is perfect for boating or running a WaveRunner. We will often take the boat out for lunch or dinner at one of the great restaurants on the water but they can also be reached by road.
The boat ramp is located .5 miles from the house. Go to the end of Till Davis Road. Turn Left. THe ramp os located on the left before you cross the bridge.
If your luggage has ever been lost by an airline, it probably was re-routed to the Unclaimed Baggage store in Scottsboro. Anything that can be left on an airplane or packed in luggage can be found at

We just returned from our three night stay and it was wonderful. The house was perfect for my parents that are both eighty-six years old. They had access to every part of the house and pier but enjoyed the beautiful back porch the most. One late afternoon we were all sitting down on the pier watching the sun set and saw the most amazing bald eagle fly down to the water to get dinner for the tree babies that we had spotted in the nest across the lake. The house and trip exceeded our expectations and I would recommend this home to anyone looking for an enjoyable, relaxing, and extremely clean place to vacation. Thanks Mike for a great stay!

This house is the best lake rental we have ever done. The house is very roomy, nicely appointed and very comfortable. It is on a beautiful, convenient part of the lake on a cove on South Sauty creek which is one of the best fishing areas on the lake. The boat house is just excellent with a covered slip protected by an electric door with lights and power and a nice deck/platform on the roof - best boat setup I have ever had on the water for security and convenience. The rental transaction was flawless and the house is a good value for the room, comfort, and convenience provided. Highly recommended!

My husband and I were in for a FLW Tournament when we saw this rental on VRBO. We talked to Michael and made arrangements. He was so gracious and kind, just like Southern People are. His wife was just as kind. We had a wonderful time. After the tournament, we fished a whole day and caught so many slab Crappie and good sized Bass. The master bed was so comfortable. The furnished gourmet kitchen was to die for.....the boathouse was great for our bass boat. The scenery was breathtaking and we even saw the famous Bald Eagles. What could anyone ask for? We thank Michael and his family for letting us share and enjoy their beautiful home. The Davis's, Mark & Susan

We really loved this house and the area. We took our 7 month old grandson, and it was a perfect layout for him. I really liked the one level. The house was extremely clean and very well stocked. I brought a lot of my own consumables, but I did not need them because there was plenty for all of us. We liked the outside yard and dock too. There was not climbing up and down bluffs. The dock was a straight shot from the house.

We stayed here for a weekend in September 2010. The house is beautiful and very spacious. We had dinner on the covered back porch, overlooking the lake. They have a nice fan on the porch, just in case you need a little more breeze. The master bedroom opens up onto the back porch and has a nice view. The living room has a very large television - great for watching games. I love the large-open area of the living room, kitchen and dining room. We are coming back for Thanksgiving and can't wait. I would highly recommend this house!

My family recently enjoyed staying at this home on the shores of beautiful Lake Guntersville. There was plenty to do from fishing on the pier, to playing board games, watching movies, grilling out, or relaxing on the porch or top deck of the boat house. The lakehouse is just over an hours drive from Chattanooga, TN, and we were able to enjoy the activities that Chattanooga has to offer. The house is beautiful and well stocked with everything we needed. The neighborehood was quiet and no one bothered us while we were there. Mike checked in on us, and he was very helpful in providing information about the local area. Mostly we wanted to rest and relax, which was just what this home/owner provided. Thanks for sharing your home with us, Mike and family. We look forward to visiting ya'll again in the future.
