Manistee Lake, Kalkaska County is nestled in the vacation heartland of the lower peninsula of Michigan.
This is a very family friendly and BABY friendly cottage. Leave your pack and play, boppie and exersaucer, stroller and high chair at home. We know from experience how crazy life with a new baby can be, please leave the baby essentials at home and get away with the family for the weekend. We have most of the baby essentials onsite. A family fun weekend is no problem here.
We provide a year round cottage with room to sleep as many as 6-8 people comfortably. The cottage has a full updated kitchen, bath, shower, living/dining areas, two bedrooms downstairs, baby crib and a full loft upstairs.
This channel lake property is open and spacious for outdoor summer or winter recreation activities. A platform dock is provided for great pan fishing for the kids. The accommodations are perfect for all ages for a relaxing vacation spent sun bathing, swimming, fishing, snowmobiling, skiing, or enjoying a bonfire in peace and quiet. Perfect location for the Fall Colors.

Manistee Lake Channel: Cottage is located on quiet, peaceful canal, Platform dock excellent swimming, fishing, jet skiing, boating, relaxing, etc. 860 Acre All Sports Lake is just 900 ft by boat, down the canal and thru the tunnel. (kids love that part)
OTHER AMENITIES
The Cottage lake lot is 120 feet deep and 62 feet wide. Cottage is 1200 sq ft, with full kitchen and great room that has a gorgeous cathedral window view. The Cottage is heated with a natural gas furnace for those cool days and evenings. Shaded picnic table, bonfire pit with benches for roasting your "dogs", "burgers", "marshmallows", etc,. Large lot to play games, relax, enjoy, etc.

Baby Friendly: Crib, Pack and Play, Exersaucer, Boppy, High Chair and Baby Swing on site.
Kid Friendly: Lots of board games, puzzles, fishing poles and basic tackle provided.
Dog Friendly: Dogs must be approved by property owner. See dog rules and rental fee. Large Dog Crate and Exercise wire provided.

Why the Owner Chose Kalkaska
My family chose this location for our cottage because it is located in the perfect location for our family. It's not too far from anything summer or winter; fishing, ski resorts, snowmobile and motocross trails and it seems to be just 40 minutes from any type of recreation, the lake is beautiful for a year round cottage.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
Perfect cottage just off the crazy side of the lake, Located on the main lake canal, there is total peace and quiet and the bad lake weather doesn't affect your stay. This cottage can sleep eight people easily. It is located in the middle of the northern Michigan snow belt so we have 3-4 feet of snow on the ground all winter long.
