We call our home Casa de Sueños (pron. SWAIN-yose: "House of Dreams"), because that’s what it is to us, and that’s what we intend it to be for you!
Our Bed and Breakfast combines with the village of Lo de Marcos to offer a gentle holiday for those of you who need to have a rest, sop up some sun, enjoy great food, and live a cultural experience that is warm and authentic without being confusing and demanding. Within the private walls of Casa de Sueños, we pamper you outrageously; outside the walls, Lo de Marcos will delight you with its simple and honest charm. The village and its 1½ kms of pristine beach remain undiscovered by the vacationing mobs or the sprawling hotel chains.
YOU determine how you enjoy Casa de Seuños. For example, you can sleep in late, then enjoy your favorite morning beverage on your private balcony before coming downstairs to a full, mouth-watering poolside gourmet breakfast.
You can lounge around the air-conditioned house (custom-built in 2008), replete with hand-painted Mexican tiles, locally made furniture, and contemporary Mexican art. Casa de Suenos is a unique blend of traditional Mexican architectural style and modern convenience.
At any time, go for a swim in the private pool, snuggle into a hammock with a book, talk with your hosts about the village of Lo de Marcos and activities of interest around the area. Or you can just stroll down to the sheltered Lo de Marcos beach—less than 8 minutes away—to squiggle your toes in the sand, swim, watch the fishermen bring in their catch, or simply have a drink by the surf. Often, the beach will be nearly deserted. Just you and a dozen others watching a silent column of pelicans skimming the waves.
Other activities that might interest you: A large local area market (tianguis) is a weekly event that draws artisans from near and far and features weaving, pottery, carving, metalwork, art, and a wide range of Mexican food. Also, there is fine dining, horseback riding, snorkeling, surfing, fishing, golfing, coastal cruise boats, whale watching--to name a few. You won’t be bored!

Kathleen and Clark Cook hail from the Cariboo area of British Columbia, Canada, where they ran a successful Bed and Breakfast for a number of years. They have also vacationed in their beloved Mexico for over twenty years--and in 2005 they discovered the little village of Lo de Marcos. Love at first sight! The Cooks had dreamed of building a home and opening a B&B in Mexico, and this was indeed the place. Now that home is built--Casa de Suenos. A brand-new, modern, but very traditional Mexican home, rich with hand-painted tiles, deep hardwoods, brick features, iron grill work, and a private pool--all for your enjoyment. Kathleen and Clark want you to take as much pleasure in their home's amenities and ambiance as they do in providing them. Nuestra casa es su casa (Our house is your house)
